Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh! Through this tour of the Pittsburgh campus, we will show you what makes Pitt one of the top ranked research institutions in the world. Start the tour to see why we Hail to Pitt! Pitt's upper campus offers amazing views! Sutherland Hall houses first-year men and women. The common area includes The Perch at Sutherland which offers multiple dining options including made-to-order meals, a Quickzone convenience store, and a computer center. Sutherland is also home to Panther Central Express, a one-stop center where students can take care of housing, dining, and their Pitt ID. The air-conditioned rooms in Sutherland Hall are mostly doubles with semi-private baths. Laundry facilities and fitness rooms are located on the ground floor of each wing. The living learning community for First-Year Honors College students is located in Sutherland Hall.

Panther and Irvis Halls house primarily upperclass students. Panther's air-conditioned rooms are a combination of three-person and five-person suites, and doubles with private baths. While Irvis' air-conditioned rooms are a combination of four-person suites and doubles with private baths. Panther and Irvis Hall both have an open lounge, a study area, and laundry facilities on every floor. Their commons areas contain coffee carts, a fitness center, a meeting room, and a student mail center.

Welcome to Forbes Hall, located on Forbes Avenue about four blocks from the Litchfield Towers complex. It houses 232 primarily first-year students in air-conditioned doubles. Some of the doubles have adjoining semi-private powder rooms. There are communal showers, a kitchenette, and a laundry area on each floor. There are Internet e-mail kiosks and a student mail center in the lobby of Forbes Hall.

Lothrop Hall is a unique residence hall in the heart of the University of Pittsburgh's renowned Medical Center, about three blocks from the Litchfield Towers. Lothrop Hall houses 723 men and women, both first-year and upperclass students, mostly in singles and a few doubles. Most rooms have a wet sink. Each wing has a communal bathroom and shower on each floor. There is a lounge on every floor as well as a fitness center, laundry room, student mail center, and e-mail kiosks in the lobby.

Located a few blocks from the heart of campus, Bouquet Gardens accommodates 651 students in 17 units in nine buildings. Each air-conditioned unit is furnished and typically includes four single bedrooms. The two and three person apartments are made up of single bedrooms and one bathroom. All four person apartments in Bouquet Gardens include two bathrooms. Bouquet Gardens Apartments include a kitchen with refrigerator, stove and microwave, a living room and dining area.

As the largest housing complex on campus Litchfield Towers is home to much of the freshman class. The Towers Lobby connects the three residence halls and also houses Panther Central, a one-stop center where students can take care of housing, dining, and their Pitt ID. On the lower level is Market Central, which offers multiple dining options including made-to-order meals.

Market Central offers superior eat-in menu options and ambiance for those who desire the total dining experience. Home to eight restaurant quality concepts, Market Central offers unlimited options as you watch your meals prepared right in front of your eyes!

Quickzone is not your typical convenience store! Quickzone features hundreds of brand-name items, including snack foods; bottled beverages; microwave meals, fresh groceries; kosher items and vegetarian and vegan options!

The Schenley quadrangle or as students say, "The Quad" is home to five residence halls and several retail locations. Maggie & Stella's Cards & Gifts, located on the street level of Amos Hall is Oakland's premier card and gift shop. Stop by the Pitt Shop located on the street level of Brackenridge Hall, for Pitt Panther clothing and game day essentials! The Pitt Shop is the University's official headquarters for licensed merchandise. The Forbes Street Market, located on the street level of Bruce Hall, is an urban market-style grocery store. The market features prepared foods, bulk foods, a bakery station, coffee, fresh meat and seafood, a slice to order deli, crisp produce, a wide variety of dry grocery items, and more. There are also grab-and-go options and ready-to-eat dishes.

Owned and operated by the University of Pittsburgh, The University Store on Fifth's mission is to ensure that our students, faculty and staff have the tools necessary to successfully navigate their Pitt experience. The University Store is the sole resource for all of the textbooks and course materials needed for every class at Pitt and provides many other items to help customers celebrate Pitt, support their university lifestyle, and manage their day-to-day needs. The University Store's technology center offers Apple, Dell, and Lenovo computers along with tech accessories and a support team that provides walk-in and drop off services.

Amos Hall, Brackenridge Hall, Bruce Hall, Holland Hall and McCormick Hall are the five residence halls located in the Schenley quadrangle, also known as "the quad". Two of our most popular quad residence halls are Holland Hall and McCormick Hall. Holland Hall is divided into two wings "North and South" and houses 600 mostly first-year men and women in single, double, triple, and quad accommodations. There is a kitchenette on each floor as well as communal bathrooms and showers. The penthouse features a lounge, study area, and laundry facilities. McCormick Hall houses 132 mostly upperclass men and women in three-, six-, and seven-person suites. Each suite features a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator and one or more private bathrooms. Laundry facilities are available in the penthouse. Adjoining McCormick Hall is the William Pitt Union.

Once a lavish hotel, the William Pitt Union is now the hub for student life outside of the classroom. Inside is home to more than 300 student organizations, an art gallery, dance studio, The Schenley Cafe and Nordy's. Nordy's has a wide variety of table games, several TVs, and the Commuter Lounge. It's a great place to hang out with your friends and get away for a little bit. Rub the panther's nose outside the Student Union every Friday before the Pitt Panther's football game to bring our team good luck.

Nordenberg Hall opened in fall 2013, and is named after Pitt's 17th chancellor, Mark A. Nordenberg, for his role in transforming Pitt. The building houses freshmen in double and triple rooms. The Student Health Center, Pharmacy, and Counseling Center are also located here. It received a LEED silver certification for sustainable construction.

Ruskin Hall is located near the Cathedral of Learning on the eastern edge of campus. Ruskin Hall houses 416 upperclass students in one, two, and three-person apartments and single-person efficiency apartments. The air-conditioned, furnished apartments include private baths and kitchens with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher.

Located across from the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Forbes-Craig Apartments house the students in the University Honors College. The 39 furnished apartments accommodate 102 upperclass students in single and double bedrooms. One honors college staff member resides in the building.

The 67 units in the Centre Plaza Apartments house 197 students. The air-conditioned, furnished apartments accommodate from one to three students in mostly single bedrooms. The kitchens include microwaves, garbage disposals, and dinettes, as well as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers.
