Pepperdine University was originally founded in 1937 in the Greater Los Angeles area, but we moved here to our beautiful Malibu campus in 1972, right between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains. This location provides us not only with year-round recreational and outdoor activities, but also with access to major metropolitan resources in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Students take advantage of our proximity to these locations, often landing internships at internationally-known companies, or simply enjoying the entertainment, dining, arts, and shopping that the city has to offer. We are currently in the heart of Main Campus, Joslyn Plaza. This area is typically full of students walking to and from class, studying, and enjoying the sunshine.
