This is the Lehr-Kennedy House, home to the Office of Multicultural Development as well as numerous student groups. We welcome diversity in all its forms at ONU. Nineteen percent of our students are from other states and foreign countries, and the Office of Multicultural Development works to create an inclusive campus environment for everyone. ONU's Art & Design programs are housed in the Wilson Art Center for the Visual Arts, and as a design student, you'll have updated equipment and a stimulating environment to work in. These facilities include a graphic design computer lab, art education studio, printmaking studio, a darkroom, drawing and painting studios, ceramic studio, kiln room, sculpture studio, welding stations, a woodshop, burnout kiln and furnace for bronze casting, and a small metals studio. Connected to the Wilson Art Center is the Elzay Gallery of Art, which hosts guest artists throughout the year, exposing the campus community to various cultures and modes of artistic expression.Talent scholarships are available for students planning to major in our programs in Art and Design.

Opened in the Fall of 2019, the James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building is home to the T.J.Smull College of Engineering. The state-of-the-art building features large-scale project and design space for capstone projects, design competitions, and other industry engagement for our engineering and computer science majors. The Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences anchors Ohio Northern's science complex. Here, our nursing students refine their skills in two mock hospital environments fully equipped for patient simulations. Chemistry and biology students enjoy the functional and modern laboratories. We are standing on the Tundra, the heart of ONU and its Polar Bears, where you'll attend Welcome Week activities, listen to live concerts, watch movies, play Frisbee golf, study for classes, or learn what it means to be in a fraternity or sorority at Greek-a-palooza. We even brave temperatures in the teens to take part in the annual Polar Plunge to help raise money for charitable causes. This strong tradition at ONU gives you opportunities to develop leadership skills, serve the University and local community, and get involved on campus as early as your first semester! Currently, there are nine national fraternities and sororities at ONU.

Cheer on the Polar Bears, work out, swim, run and dance in the ONU Sports Center, the official home of Ohio Northern's volleyball, wrestling, and men's and women's basketball teams. The Sports Center also houses an indoor track and field facility, racquetball courts, weight rooms, an athletic training room, a wrestling room, a gymnastics room, a swimming pool, classrooms and faculty offices. ONU is a competitive member of the Ohio Athletic Conference in 23 varsity sports.

Show your Polar Bear pride at Dial-RobersonStadium and Kerscher Stadium. Dial-Roberson is home to the ONU football and lacrosse teams and features two large locker rooms, a player's lounge, a weight room and a training room. Feel free to sit in the stands or cheer from the lawn seating! Kerscher Stadium is home to the ONU soccer, and track and field teams. Artificial turf was recently added as well as lights for evening competitions. This area of campus also provides facilities for ONU's softball and baseball teams.

After a day in class, enjoy a relaxing evening with friends in Affinity Village. Reserved for sophomores and juniors, the facility consists of a commons building and four residential buildings. A social area with a meeting space, a kitchen and a lounge are attached to each residential building. Additionally, Affinity Village offers themed housing for a number of student groups and organizations, including national sororities and fraternities, upper-class Honors Program students, and Global Village. Founders Hall and Maglott Hall are freshman co-ed residence halls just a short walk from the Sports Center and many academic buildings. The Lima Complex, a double-occupancy suite-style coed residence hall, houses sophomores and juniors. You also can select female-or male-only residence halls like Northern House, 5 University Place or Park Hall.

Grab a bite to eat or shop for your black and orange apparel in the University's McIntosh Center. This is the center of social life on campus, and it houses the offices of Student Affairs, Residence Life, Student Involvement and Greek Life and the Student Success Center. For dining options, we offer a cafeteria-style facility, the Polar Espresso serving Starbucks coffee, and the WOW cafe for a quick lunch or late-night snack. In addition, the building features the Bear Cave (a student activities room), a ballroom, conference rooms, the campus mailroom and the bookstore. You will also want to check out one of the new additions to this building, Klondike's, an 1,800-square-foot campus hotspot with seating for 45 and room for plenty more to congregate or play a few games of pool. There's also12 TVs in there, including two 90-inch monsters.
