This is SUNY Oneonta – a mid-sized, public, residential college located in a beautiful, safe and welcoming place. Our campus community is dedicated to helping students GROW intellectually, THRIVE socially and LIVE purposefully. You can choose from a wide variety of majors, experiential learning opportunities, student clubs and social activities to create a college experience that's as unique as you are. Hunt College Union

The Hunt College Union is a hub for social and academic activities. Get connected with internships, research, study abroad or volunteer opportunities at the Experiential Learning Center. Grab a cup of coffee at Starbucks and study or meet up with friends in the Living Room, overlooking the Hunt Union pond. You'll also find WONY, our student-run radio station; the Dragon's Lair gaming room; and the Red Dragon Theatre, which shows recently released movies every week. The offices of Student Success, Greek Life, leadership programs and our Gender and Sexuality Resource Center are all located here, along with a ballroom used for performances, large events and guest speakers.

James M. Milne Library

The newly renovated Milne Library incorporates technology and academic support services. Colorful alcoves with comfortable seating, soundproofing panels, glass writing boards and charging stations make it a great space to do research, study, write papers and work on projects with classmates. Our 100-station computer technology center has digital video editing suites and a presentation rehearsal room with self-video capabilities. When you need a break from studying, head to Argo Tea on the first floor, which has all-natural teas and snacks, many of which are vegan or gluten-free. The library is also home to Accessibility Resources and the Student Learning Center, which includes the tutoring and writing centers.

Fitzelle Hall – Academic Building

Fitzelle Hall is home to our departments of Education; Africana and Latinx Studies; Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics; Philosophy; and Psychology. It's also the first building on campus to meet the sustainability standards for LEED Silver certification. In addition to more than 20 classrooms and labs, there are dozens of comfortable study spots and informal learning spaces designed for group study and collaboration. If you're hungry, grab a quick drink or a bite to eat at Seasons Cafe, which serves locally grown and produced foods.

Huntington Hall - Double Style Residence

Welcome to Huntington Hall, one of 15 residence halls that will become your home away from home. Living on campus is comfortable and convenient, with computer labs, laundry rooms, exercise areas, community kitchens, recreation and study space in each hall. In Huntington, you'll find double-style rooms designed for two students. There are five other double-style buildings on campus. First-year students typically live in one of our First-Year Experience residence halls, which offer co-ed double-style living and provide the opportunity to meet classmates, gain leadership skills, and participate in programs and activities designed for new students.

Center for Racial Justice and Inclusive Excellence

Welcome to Lee Hall, home to our Center for Racial Justice and Inclusive Excellence. Oneonta students, faculty and staff value diversity, equity and inclusion, and this space provides opportunities for educational and social events with a focus on inclusive excellence, social justice, antiracism and diversity. It will eventually be home to a racial and social justice museum and learning library.

Mills Dining Hall

Welcome to Mills, one of our three dining halls on campus. Mills offers a wide variety of options and features a Farm Fresh station, salad station, wrap station, Mexican food station, Southeast Asian food station, and more! The coolest part of Mills is My Kitchen, a hands-on dining experience where you can take cooking lessons, make your own meals using ingredients that change daily, or enjoy food prepared by visiting chefs. Downstairs, you'll find Mills Marketplace, where you can grab a quick bite on the go (sushi, subs, pizza, garlic knots and more) or stock up on grocery items and snacks for your room!

Downtown Oneonta - Main St

The City of Oneonta, home to about 14,000 residents, is beautiful, safe and fun. A 10-minute ride on the Oneonta Public Transit bus will bring you downtown, where you can explore the many restaurants and shops along historic Main Street. Whether you're a lover of the arts, need to do some shopping or just want to grab a cup of coffee or a slice of Oneonta's famous cold-cheese pizza, you'll find something to keep you busy here. Bonus: Many of the businesses along Main Street are owned by SUNY Oneonta alumni, so get to know them and make connections!

Physical Science

The Physical Science Building offers modern research and teaching spaces for Anthropology, Chemistry and Physics. In addition to classrooms, labs and faculty offices, the building has informal learning and lounge spaces, cutting-edge laboratories and a climate-controlled anthropology teaching gallery. It's also home to the college's AJ Read Science Discovery Center, where science students plan and lead hands-on educational activities for area children during special community events throughout the year.

Counseling, Health and Wellness Center

The Counseling, Health and Wellness Center is where you'll go for all your health care needs. Be seen by a doctor, pick up medicine or make an appointment with one of our counselors, who are caring and dedicated professionals ready to provide support and help you develop skills to manage your personal concerns. The Counseling Center is an important part of the Student Development mission of maintaining a supportive campus atmosphere, fostering personal and academic growth, supporting cultural diversity and eliminating barriers to academic goals.

Wilsbach Dining Hall

Welcome to Wilsbach, one of three full-service dining halls on campus. Eat in or take out, and choose from a variety of delicious options, including pasta, pizza, burgers, chicken tenders, omelets, wraps and sandwiches, salads and more. Our Wild Mushroom food station offers vegan and vegetarian options, too! A perennial favorite is the ice cream sundae bar on Wednesday nights.

Academic Quad

This is the quad. Situated in the center of campus and surrounded by academic buildings, it's a great place to hang out between classes. Sometimes, on a nice day, professors even bring their students out to the quad and hold class outdoors. Clubs have events on the quad throughout the year, too. One of the biggest is Red Day, which features food, prizes for school spirit, and fun activities on the first Friday of the fall semester. Whether you're reading a book, throwing a Frisbee or just soaking in the sunshine, the quad is a favorite hangout spot.

Fine Arts

The Fine Arts Center is home to our Theatre, Music and Art departments and features recording studios, practice rooms, classrooms and art studios, as well as two professional art galleries that showcase student work and host exhibitions throughout the year. You'll also find Goodrich Theater, which seats almost 500 people, and the smaller, black box Hamblin Theater. Student musical, dance and theater productions, including the Terpsichorean Dance Showcase and Mask and Hammer shows, all happen here.

Higgins Hall – On Campus Apartments

After your first year on campus, you can choose to live in one of our four quad-style buildings (where each quad houses four students); four suite-style buildings (where suites are designed to house four or six students); or in our apartment-style building, Higgins Hall, which you see here. Apartments in Higgins include a living room, single rooms, kitchen facilities and larger living spaces. One of our quad buildings includes a Transfer Living Community where new transfer students have the opportunity to live together and get involved in special academic and social programs. We also offer gender-inclusive housing.

Human Ecology - Academic Building

The Human Ecology Building is the hub for students majoring in Dietetics, Fashion and Textiles, Human Development and Family Studies, and Food Service and Restaurant Administration. Inside you will find a child development center, a fashion gallery, sewing and food labs, a food presentation room and a commercial kitchen. Faculty offices for the Department of Human Ecology are also located here, making it convenient to connect and collaborate between classes.

Alumni Field House

The Alumni Field House is where many of our Division III Red Dragon athletes practice and compete. It's also a fitness and recreation hub for the whole campus community, with a large fitness center, indoor track, two racquetball courts and a dance studio. The Dewar Arena, which can seat 5,000 people, is where our basketball and volleyball teams play, and also where we hold Commencement, concerts and other large campus events. Our athletic training room and locker room facilities are located on the lower level. Directly outside of the Field House, you'll find the newly renovated Red Dragon Field where our soccer and lacrosse teams compete
