Welcome to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. We're excited to have you explore our campus online and hope you'll make time to come see us in person! What better way to start your day than to stop and smell the flowers? Students on their way to class do just that each day as they pass through the formal gardens west of the Student Union. OSU's highly skilled caretakers use the gardens to showcase their abilities with a breathtaking array of flowers welcoming students and alumni alike. The gardens are an iconic sight on OSU's campus, which is consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful college campuses in America. Before we get started, let me explain the many ways you can explore our unique spaces.

Student Life

OSU is home to one of the largest student unions in the country. The OSU Student Union includes a fabulous outdoor plaza for student events, a revamped theater, e sports arena, meeting rooms, a post office, 10 great dining options, including popular franchises, such as Chick-fil-A and Caribou Coffee, and more. The Student Union provides plenty of space for students to participate in clubs, study, grab a bite to eat, and even get a haircut. The University Store is a great place to grab your textbooks, pick up your favorite orange apparel or the latest tech gadget. Best College Reviews' website listed OSU's Student Union as the most amazing in the nation.

Residential Life

University Commons is the newest housing area on OSU's campus. Comprised of three buildings, each one has everything you need to be comfortable, including a shared kitchen and on-site laundry. Each residence hall features a two-story main lobby and lounge with a fireplace. The Commons were designed with student privacy in mind - each floor has private spaces like window benches to study quietly. The complex provides a place to relax and prepare students for another exciting day on campus. It's a short walk from the Colvin Recreation Center and the recently added North Dining.

Dining

Located next to University Commons, North Dining features seven unique eating options for students. From Zest, offering Mediterranean cuisine, to B&B Co., a burger joint featuring an all-day breakfast menu, there is no shortage of good food. With vegan options, allergen- and Halal-friendly foods, you can find the option that's right for you. Snag a smoothie at Dash if you're short on time, or take advantage of the open seating areas to study or catch up with friends.

Wellness & Recreation

The Colvin Recreation Center is consistently ranked as one of the top university recreational facilities in the nation. The recently renovated 320,000-square-foot facility includes 14 multi-activity courts, a four-lane indoor track, an indoor and outdoor pool, an F45 studio, six group exercise rooms, a spin studio, a rock-climbing wall and much more. Whether you're wanting to lift weights, play a pickup basketball game, take a group fitness class or play videogames with friends, there's something for everyone. The Colvin Center is just one component of making OSU America's Healthiest Campus.

International Center

Founded by Congressman Wes Watkins, the center that bears his name serves as the hub for OSU's global activities. Flags representing our international students' home countries welcome visitors to the Wes Watkins Center, home to OSU's School of Global Studies and Partnerships. Our global legacy dates back to the 1950s with a pioneering project titled the Point Four Program. Since then, we've partnered on countless projects around the world and are a leader in the state for global efforts. Students from nearly 100 countries call OSU home. The Office of International Students and Scholars provides immigration support and works with a number of international student organizations to put on activities for the OSU and Stillwater communities.

Library

One of our most iconic buildings is the Edmon Low Library. The library opened as part of then-president Henry Bennett's 25 Year Plan for campus development. Today, the library is about so much more than books, although we have lots of those too! You'll find a coffee shop and computers with free printing. Our creative studios provide access to emerging technology and digital devices you can checkout, including laptops, 3D printing, cameras, GoPros, telescopes and more. The library is often open 24 hours and is an extremely popular space for students to study at any time of day or night.

Engineering & STEM

ENDEAVOR is a 72,000-square-foot facility that gives all students access to state-of-the-art tools and the opportunity for interdisciplinary work. The structure makes immersive education possible, allowing students to take theories learned in the classroom and apply their knowledge through hands-on projects. All OSU students are welcome to use the building, which has 23 engineering science and project labs. Lab classes focus on areas such as mechatronics, robotics, digital manufacturing, fluid and aero dynamics, thermodynamics, materials and more. With three floors of learning space and the backing of industry giants, ENDEAVOR is one more way OSU is providing students with the means to make discoveries.

Business

The crescent-shaped business building recently opened and is greatly enhancing our preparation of tomorrow's business leaders. It's a $72 million facility with 147,500 square feet, featuring 13 classrooms, 16 team/breakout rooms and a modern look to take students into the next 100 years. From the cutting-edge trading floor, to the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship, students are at the center of this building design. Relevant and current technology help keep our students and faculty at the forefront of their industry. Need a pick-me-up in between classes? Stop by and grab a beverage from Business Perks, the in-house coffee shop.

Agriculture

OSU's newly opened Greenhouse Learning Center is the best in the country for teaching and features a state-of-the-art classroom, five greenhouses, and an isolated entomology greenhouse. The center even has an outdoor classroom that is designed and managed by students to provide a hands-on learning environment beyond the traditional classroom. Students in multiple majors enjoy learning in the modern and advanced facility that includes cutting-edge irrigation, lighting, and environmental control systems. The OSU Horticulture Club also uses the greenhouses to grow bedding plants for their annual fundraiser each year. As students graduate, their experiences at OSU prepare them to continue the growth of the horticulture industry in Oklahoma and beyond.

Virtual & Augmented Reality Lab

Technology meets needs in OSU's state-of-the-art Mixed Reality Lab where students can utilize augmented and virtual reality and 3D printing technology for design and research. The lab includes eye-tracking technology, the GERT suit, which allows wearers to simulate auditory, tactile, vision and mobility challenges, and more. A connected classroom features 25 dedicated virtual reality computers and headsets. Down the hall is the Sewn Products Lab. With lots of design space and plenty of sewing machines and tools at their disposal, students use their skills to create one-of-a-kind garments. Each year, these students put on the Euphoria Fashion Show to showcase their designs.

Performing Arts

Thanks to the generous support of Ross and Billie McKnight, The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts is an inspiring space that puts OSU at the forefront of the performing arts. The McKnight Center has twice partnered with the New York Philharmonic, which has included master classes for OSU students, gala events and public performances. Select OSU students have also traveled to New York City for immersive learning opportunities with the Philharmonic. The McKnight Center, along with the Michael and Anne Greenwood School of Music, our brand-new music education facility, position OSU's music program to continue to achieve national accolades and prominence. Additionally, our theatre students shine on and off the stage producing four performances each year.

Honors College

Old Central was the first permanent building on OSU's campus. Over the years, it has served many purposes, including the first library, home of the school newspaper, the "O'Collegian," and numerous classes. The building has undergone many renovations over the years, including the restoration of classrooms to their original look. These days, the building is home to The Honors College, where students still participate in small classes just as they did more than a century ago. The OSU Honors College is one of only 10 honors colleges in the nation with a 5-star rated curriculum, which is the highest rating possible. We offer an honors experience that is broader, deeper, and different.

Art Museum

Located in Stillwater's historic Postal Plaza, the OSU Museum of Art provides a free opportunity for students to learn and engage with a wide range of art from around the world. Associated with exhibitions, programs hosted by the museum feature visiting artists, student and guest curators, as well as a broad range of historical and contemporary subjects. A variety of rotating exhibitions include some from the permanent collection and some are artwork on loan from other institutions or individuals.

Veterinary Medicine

For more than 70 years, the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine has been providing outstanding medical services and preparing career-ready veterinarians for a lifetime of investigation, innovation, care and protection of animal health. OSU is the state's only college of veterinary medicine and one of only 32 nationwide. Students take classes in the recently opened Roger J. Panciera Education Center, gain critical hands-on experience in the Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and conduct research in numerous state-of-the-art lab facilities. Prior to graduating, students complete 25 two-week clinical rotations with emphasis on small animal, mixed animal and equine. OSU is committed to continuing as an international leader in veterinary medical education and research.

Flight Center

The brand-new 11,600-square-foot Ray and Linda Booker OSU Flight Center marks a new chapter for OSU aviation. Located just south of Stillwater Regional Airport, the facility includes spaces for individual flight debriefings, group instruction, state-of-the-art simulator technology, dispatch and more. OSU flight training for professional pilot students includes Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification with courses offered in private, instrument, commercial, multiengine and certified flight instructor. Students have access to an impressive and growing fleet of technically advanced aircraft and receive high-quality instruction from experienced faculty committed to helping them achieve their dreams of becoming pilots.

Welcome to the campus of champions! Oklahoma State University is the home of 52 NCAA team national championships, the fifth most among all Division I schools, and has produced 32 Olympians and Paralympians. From bowl games and Final Fours, to the College World Series, the cheering and winning never stops in Stillwater. Our newest athletic facility, O'Brate Stadium, is truly a sight to behold. The baseball complex features an indoor facility, pitching lab and artificial turf infield that allows the Cowboys to practice year-round. Students, alumni and our loyal and true fans fill the stadium to witness OSU's legacy of excellence that includes one national championship win, six championship game appearances and 20 trips to the College World Series.

Boone Pickens Stadium

Welcome to game day at Boone Pickens Stadium, where thousands of Cowboy football fans stand shoulder to shoulder in an electric atmosphere. The state-of-the-art facility you see today is the result of the monumental support and generosity of the late Mr. T. Boone Pickens. From the moment the Cowboys take the field, you'll find our students, alumni and fans cheering on their team and proudly participating in all the game day traditions, like chanting our fight songs with the Cowboy Marching Band, celebrating every touchdown as Bullet and the Spirit Rider race across the field, joining Pistol Pete in the singing of our alma mater and so much more!

Originally a watering hole for college work animals, including horses, Theta Pond has become a place of shady relaxation on OSU's campus. Students now sit on the benches surrounding the pond, watching the ducks and geese, while taking a break. It's been the setting for many engagements, wedding photos and more. It's also a popular spot for alumni when they come back each year for America's Greatest Homecoming. OSU's homecoming events last all week long and 80,000 people flood the streets around Theta Pond to see the large house decorations throughout the Greek community. Many memories are made here!
