Welcome to Oklahoma City University School of Law. You'll find something very different here- a unique combination of top-notch legal education, a genuinely supportive, intentionally diverse community and friendships that will last a lifetime. Here, you will get a glimpse of our school and the surrounding downtown area of our city. We're in the heart of Oklahoma City's legal community, an exciting benefit for our students. Our courtroom was designed to handle actual court cases, and it has seen several – including from the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Court. Its gallery allows for up to 60 audience members. Other features include judges' chambers, a jury deliberation room and a secure evidence storage room. You'll use the courtroom for moot courts, appellate-style arguments and mock trials. Its namesake, J. William Conger was a beloved law school professor and general counsel for the university, and was one of the founders of Hartzog, Conger & Cason. This courtroom was named after him

Welcome to the fifth floor, where you will attend most of your classes. This is one of our larger classrooms – it will be where most of the first-year classes will meet. Some classes you might find here are contracts, torts, civil practice and procedure, legal research and writing, and legal analysis. These lecture classrooms can seat up to 80 people. Your upper-level classes will be smaller and will be in classrooms that hold around 30 students. There is also an auditorium available for small lectures and for our many student organizations to host their meetings.

The OCU Law building, designed in 1910, was the first public high school in Oklahoma and continues its groundbreaking educational legacy to this day. McLaughlin Hall was the original auditorium and is often still used that way. We host lectures and events in this space, and it's a comfortable place for students to lounge or meet up in between classes. You will also find the registrar and student services departments on this floor. The registrar's office offers academic support and resources, and our student services department offers everything from career preparation to personal counseling. Our museum room holds so much history from this school and building, including magnificent architectural details.

Our library has many in-person and online resources available to our students. Our highly skilled, friendly and approachable librarians are a valuable resource for our students. Many of them hold law degrees and are professors in the law school. Our librarians are an added resource to the invaluable information provided through studies and research. Students can also take part in classes designed to teach you how to read law databases. Here, you'll also find a wide array of print and digital study aids to supplement what you'll learn in class.

Our café on the first floor offers food and drink options so if you're in the middle of a study session, you don't have to leave the building for meals. It is a very student-centered space where you can study, eat or just take a break. There are also refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and vending machines. Each student is assigned a locker to store books and other school or personal items. Larger study rooms are available on this floor for students to use, along with a computer lab and the IT help desk. And a terrific game room for when you need to unwind!

Downtown Oklahoma City is the vibrant hub of the capital city's legal community – plus it's a lot of fun! Just down the street from the law school is Myriad Botanical Gardens and Scissortail Park. , a great place to get some sunshine and exercise, lounge, or even have a picnic with some food and drink from local food trucks. During the warmer months, you'll also find a Farmer's Market with fresh local produce and artisanal goods. Nearby, you will find Paycom Center where you can catch a concert or watch the Oklahoma City Thunder. The law school building is part of the Midtown district, filled with restaurants, shops and entertainment for you to visit and unwind.

One of the most exciting benefits of our location is that we are within walking distance of the Federal and Oklahoma County Courthouses. Students can also walk just a couple of blocks from the law school to the public defender's office, district attorney's office, and major law firms such as McAfee and Taft, Crowe and Dunlevy, and Phillips Murrah. Most of our students intern, extern or work for these offices during their time at OCU Law. The state capital building and the Oklahoma Bar Association are nearby, too - just a 10-minute drive from the school.

Our law school is located in the heart of downtown OKC, which means there's always plenty to do. You'll enjoy experiencing the history and culture of the city. Automobile Alley, Midtown and Bricktown are close to the law school and offer plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, entertainment and boutique shops. The Oklahoma City Memorial and Museum is one block from the school and is integral to this city's history. The law school building was used as a command center after the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing. A few blocks to the south is the tallest building in the state! The Devon Tower, 50 stories high, is home to Devon Energy and a top-floor restaurant overlooking the city.
