On this tour you'll learn about the hands-on experiences, in-demand programs, and top-tier lab spaces that make us Oregon's Polytechnic University. Living on campus means being nestled in the Southern Oregon Cascades next to Upper Klamath Lake! While living on campus isn't required, it's highly recommended for your first year as it helps you make friends, get connected, and take advantage of support services. Between the Village apartments and the Residence Hall we have over 700 beds on campus. Click on the photos in the bottom right to see what the inside of these spaces look like.

Oregon Tech offers a variety of flexible dining options. The Marketplace Cafe, seen here, is our main dining hall and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week, and brunch and dinner on weekends. The Marketplace operates on an all-you-care-to-eat model so you can go back for seconds or more! The Bistro, located on the first floor of the Campus Union building has a variety of grab-and-go options, as well as made-to-order sandwiches and smoothies. Meal plans can also be used at a number of coffee shops across campus.
Athletics & Fitness

We offer 13 NAIA varsity sports, and spots on teams are competitive, so if you're looking to play collegiately, fill out the Recruit Me form linked on this page. We also offer a handful of club and intramural sports ranging from rugby to fencing to table tennis. Students can take advantage of the TechRec gym at no additional cost. This workout facility features a yoga studio, basketball court, cardio and weight lifting equipment.

Whatever you want to study in the healthcare field, we offer it. From Pre-med to Physical Therapy, Dental Hygiene to Nursing, Respiratory Care to Medical Imaging, we train some of the next generation's brightest rising healthcare stars. With state-of-the art facilities including a cadaver lab; nursing simulation lab; physical therapy research lab; and x-ray and ultrasound labs, you will learn not just the science behind how the body works, but how to apply that science to real-world careers that help others. Not interested in clinical medicine? We also have degrees in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, and Population Health Management.

With Boeing, Intel, and Nike among the top employers of our grads, you know Oregon Tech does engineering well. ABET-accredited engineering and engineering technology programs range from Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Civil, to Electrical, Renewable Energy, Computer, and Software. Our top-tier undergraduate labs are often only seen in graduate level programs, and our industry connections provide internship and job placement opportunities for our students. In recent years we've had students intern with NASA, ODOT, and Boeing, and go on to work for Tesla, Blue Origin, MIT, and Microsoft.

Students interested in computer science find a range of program opportunities from Computer, Software, and Embedded Systems Engineering Technology, to IT, Cybersecurity, and Health Informatics. Depending on the program students take coursework from Computer Architecture, Ethical Hacking, Digital Systems Design, and Advanced Programming. Coursework focuses on hands-on learning, and students often earn badges and credentials as they move through their degree programs that help set them up for success in their future careers. Whether you want to study Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or Sustainability, the Natural Sciences Department has you covered. Our major in Biology-Health Sciences prepares students for graduate school in the healthcare industry, such as physical therapy, medical, or optometry school, and our five Environmental Science majors, including Wildlife, Fisheries & Natural Resources; Water & Wetland Resources; and Environmental Policy & Governance; take advantage of the local natural landscape for hands-on learning. Majors in Psychology, Communication Studies, and Professional Writing await you at Oregon Tech! Our Applied Psychology program offers real-world learning experiences and sets students up to pursue graduate school in counseling, or become social workers, school counselors, or behavior analysts. Communication Studies and Professional Writing develop students' oral and written communication skills and prepare students for careers as grant writers, social media managers, marketing directors, and mediators. Sustainability

Oregon Tech is committed to sustainability and a greener future. We harness the power of the earth and sun to provide electricity and heat water and buildings across campus. Our 7500 solar panels provide 35% of campus' energy, and we take advantage of the unique geothermal hotspot that is the Klamath Basin to heat campus buildings and water, and to melt the snow and ice from sidewalks in the winter. Oregon Tech also houses OREC, the Oregon Renewable Energy Center, a center dedicated to developing renewable energy technologies that can transition the state of Oregon to renewable power.
Honors Program

The overarching purpose of the Oregon Tech Honors Program is to provide highly motivated Oregon Tech students with a complementary academic curriculum and a collection of extracurricular learning experiences that promote a more well-rounded future career professional, a socially responsible person, and connected and liberally educated student: this is the idea of the professional as a person. The competitive Honors Program provides an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking skills, grapple with big questions, and learn to search for responsible answers. They stretch themselves and learn to grow as people and professionals. Students admitted to the Honors Program pay no additional fees to participate.
Study Abroad

Oregon Tech students are encouraged to explore the world and find a program abroad that is right for them. Through a partnership with IE3 Global, Oregon Tech offers a range of international opportunities to students at no additional cost. Twenty-five study abroad sites await Oregon Tech students from Japan, Germany, Australia, Mexico, the UK and more. Many programs also offer shorter international trips, such as the Dental Hygiene service trip to Jamaica where Dental Hygiene students provide no-cost dental care to residents.
Outdoor Opportunities

Klamath Falls is near some of the best outdoor recreation opportunities in the state. With three National Parks nearby, including Crater Lake, and just a stone's throw away from dozens of lakes, hiking trails, and three national forests, Oregon Tech students can get out in nature and explore. The Outdoor Program makes outdoor opportunities accessible to students through low cost gear rentals and organized excursions. Favorites include skiing at one of the five area ski parks, exploring the lava beds, and skydiving.

With 300 days of sunshine and unparalleled outdoor access, Klamath Falls is a hidden gem in the state of Oregon. The small town creates a safe learning environment, and makes running errands quick and easy. A variety of eateries near campus are favorites of Oregon Tech students including Brevada Brewhouse, Jalapenos Taco Shop, The Falls Taphouse and affiliated food trucks, and Thai Orchid.
