Welcome to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, also known as North Carolina A&T State University... the largest Historically Black College or University in the nation! My name is Brittany and I'm going to show you what it's like to be an Aggie!

Noble Hall

Built in 1923 and named for Marcus C. S. Noble, longtime Chairman of the university's Board of Trustees; Noble Hall is one of the oldest surviving buildings on campus. It is the nerve center to the School of Nursing which offers the bachelors degree in nursing or BSN, through four entry options: traditional, accelerated second degree, Registered Nurse or RN completion and the Regionally Increasing Baccalaureate Nurses or RIBN initiative.
Williams Dining Hall

Eat up at Williams Dining Hall! Williams Dining Hall is the main dining facility on campus and offer buffet style options. It also contains a Starbucks, McAlister’s Deli, Paavo's Pizza and Qdoba.
Smith Hall

The College of Science and Technology, headquartered here in Smith Hall, is known for the "T" in A&T. Here you will find degrees in Applied Engineering Technology, Biology, Built Environment, Mathematics, Computer Graphics Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Physics and so much more. Smith Hall was constructed in 1998 and is named after Dr. Samuel Cooper Smith and Angeline Smith. Dr. Samuel Cooper Smith was the dean of the Technical Institute of A&T from 1951 to 1967.
Truist Stadium

Truist Stadium is the home of N.C. A&T’s football games and track and field meets. It opened in 1981 and is the second largest on-campus football facility in the Triad. The stadium can hold over 20,000 spectators and includes accessibility services. It also houses the athletic offices. The most recent addition to the stadium is the state-of-the-art video scoreboard to enhance the gameday experience. It was designed by A&T alumnus, W. Edward Jenkins.
Craig & Merrick Hall

As conjoined buildings, Craig Hall (home to the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics) and Merrick Hall feature technologically equipped flat and tiered classrooms and team work centers that are used to support overall student learning. Also in Craig Hall is the Financial Trading Room, which simulates the activities of a live securities or commodities trading floor. Craig Hall is named after Dr. Quiester Craig, who was the dean of A&T’s business school in 1972. Merrick Hall is named after an alumnus who left after graduation to become the treasurer of North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company in Durham, North Carolina. His name… was Edward R. Merrick.
General Classroom Building

The General Classroom Building, or GCB, is home to the largest academic unit on campus. The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is where you will find the educational building blocks for careers in criminal justice, communications, english, liberal studies, performing arts, polictical science and so much more. It is also home to the student newspaper, The Register.
Student Center

The newly constructed student center is your one-stop shop for all things A&T serving students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors. It is the welcome center of campus life providing state-of-the-art meeting, event and study space; and also houses the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and casual dining restaurants such as 1891 Bistro, Starbucks, Chick-fil-a and more!
Corbett Sports Center

This building is named for Ellis F. Corbett, who served N.C. A&T for nearly 50 years. Corbett Sports Center is one of the toughest places to play in Division I!! It is where our men and women basketball teams take it to the court and are cheered to victory by Aggie fans! In an ESPN.com poll, fans ranked the Aggies as the 14th best atmosphere in the nation and we were the only HBCU in the poll. Corbett is also home to our Kinesiology students; as well as various career fairs held annually by the Office of Career Services.

Student Health Center

Our Student Health Center provides the University with a range of health care services including but not limited to clinical services, psychiatry, pharmacy and lab services. It is fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care or (AAAHC) . We aim to improve the quality of life for the entire N.C. A&T Community.
Proctor Hall

The College of Education resides in Proctor Hall. Our faculty prepares educational leaders for K through 12 public schools in elementary education, special education, reading education, instructional technology, counseling and school administration. The National Council on Teacher Quality ranked North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's teacher preparation programs among the top in the state of North Carolina. Also, North Carolina A&T's graduate secondary education teacher preparation program and undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program ranked third and ninth in the state, respectively.
Academic Classroom Building

Not sure what to major in? In the Academic Classroom Building or ACB is the Center for Academic Excellence. It is a full service learning support unit that promotes the achievement of students in basic skill development. Academic advisors are available. The Center for Academic Excellence is located on the 3rd floor. Also in ACB is the Office of International Affairs, which is on the 2nd floor and the University Honors Program on the first floor.
Webb Hall

Welcome to Webb Hall! If you will be in incoming freshman, transfer or international student, this building is for you. It is home to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Counselors are available to assist you with questions about attending N.C. A&T. If you schedule to take a live campus tour, this is where you would come. Webb Hall is also home to the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, which puts the "A" in A&T. If you major in Animal Sciences, Family and Consumer Sciences, Food and Nutrition, or even Natural Resources and Environmental Design . . . Webb Hall is where you will roost.
Dowdy Building

Welcome to Dowdy, better known as the heartbeat of the university! The building – completed in 1981 – was named for the sixth president and first chancellor of the university, Lewis Carnegie Dowdy. It houses many of the major administrative offices including: the Office of the Chancellor, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Office of Transfer Articulation, the Treasurer's Office and the Registrar's Office.
Bluford Library

Named after former A&T president F. D. Bluford, Bluford Library is not just a place to borrow books. It provides private study rooms, a comprehensive reference area and an archived media center for students. You can meet up with your study groups for assigned projects, recieve technical suppost assistance and even learn the history of A&T. Bluford Library serves the students, faculty and staff here at A&T, as well as for the local community.
McNair Hall

The College of Engineering resides here in McNair Hall. The U.S. News and World Report ranks A&T's College of Engineering in the top third of the Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs in the nation. In 2015, Diverse Issues in Higher Education magazine ranked N.C. A&T as the top producer of engineering degrees on the undergraduate level awarded to African Americans. McNair Hall is named after renowned astronaut, N.C. A&T graduate and physicist, Dr. Ronald McNair. He will always be remembered as one of the seven astronauts who died in the space shuttle Challenger accident on Janaury 28, 1986. Today, McNair Hall maybe your home away from home if you have an interest in engineering. More engineering classes are taken in neighboring buildings, Cherry Hall and Graham Hall.
University Farm

The 492-acre University Farm plays a significant role in the vitality of the agriculture industry. It features livestock and horticulture production which educated future agriculture professionals, research new agricultural products and practices, and advise farmers on methods to improve productivity. The Campus Cooperative Extension Program uses the farm to test and demonstrate new crops and farming practices before introducing them to the state's farming community.
Murphy Hall

Originally constructed in 1924, Murphy Hall was named for one of the former legislators in North Carolina. Once a dining hall, the building now houses the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Counseling Services, the Office of Career Services and New Student Programs, academic skills training, testing and placement advisory services, and much more.
Crosby Hall

Crosby Hall is named for the first president of the university, John Oliver Crosby. It was constructed in 1970 with major renovations completed in 2005. Crosby Hall houses the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Institute for Advanced Journalism Studies and the television studio. The original Crosby Hall was also known as the Mechanical Building was constructed in 1895.
