NABA is an Academy of Fine Arts and Design founded in 1980 by a group of artists and designers to broaden the creative approach in the fields of fashion, visual communications and design. NABA is located in one of Milan's historical districts called Navigli (canals), one of the most attractive and liveliest areas in the city. The campus is located in a historical compound from the last century that has recently been renovated according to its architectural value. The Campus hosts more than 3000 students from all over Italy and more than 70 other countries.

Located just on the right of the Main Entrance you can find the Reception and the Administration Office, your point of reference for information regarding exchange programs, individual study plans and other academic related questions. A dedicated online platform, available also on mobile, has been developed to better support and accompany you during your course of study.

Located in the B building the Career Service office is a continuous source of information and advice on career advancement. It will support you in creating self-promotional tools: curriculum vitae, cover letters and creating professional portfolios. As it keeps close contacts with industries, the Career Service office will put you in contact with companies to create job opportunities and internships.

Building C hosts the accommodation office (Milan Housing), which will support you in finding your accommodation in Milan according to your preferences and budget. You will also find the Student Life Office, the heart of social, sporting and cultural activities that will fulfill your free time as a student. The Student Life Office organizes several cultural and sports events addressed to students and will guide you through the various agreements that NABA has setup with external sports centers, restaurants and retail shops. The Student Life office also organizes short trips such us ski holidays and weekend visits to discover the beauties of Italy.

The G Building hosts one of the largest classrooms in the campus. Graduation ceremonies and special events are often held in this space. The same building also hosts a Fine Arts Shop where you can find all the materials for your projects as well as a Print Shop.

The F Building hosts one of the most unique classrooms inside our campus. For this reason, besides hosting lessons it is often used as location for exhibitions and workshops with prestigious guests coming from Italy and abroad. NABA teaching methodology is focused on the integration of classroom study with experimental workshop practice. All our programs follow a project oriented methodology that combines theory with learning-by-designing. The F building hosts one of the Fashion Labs that fully recognizes this way of thinking and represents one of the most important learning spaces for our Fashion students. The lab is fully equipped with industrial sewing and knitting machines, presses, irons, and mannequins. This is just one of the many places to practice, experiment and discover fashion inside the campus.

In K Building you can find another Fashion Lab and a Textile Library with a collection of textiles including technical data sheets, to be used as preparatory work prior to the use of the Textile Design and Knitting Lab, where students can develop personal creations utilizing looms and dye tanks. Building K is also the home of the Design Lab which includes the model-making lab, metal, wood, plastic, and 3D sections. The model-making lab is equipped to work with polystyrene, and with tools for the realization of mock-ups. The metal, wood and plastic lab allows students to create models needing more complex hand and craftwork. A 3D Design section is available within the lab. This is equipped with a 3D printer, a laser cutting machine, a vacuum thermoforming machine and a plastic sheet bender.

The "Atelier" as we name it, is an icon for all the Fine Arts Academies as this is the place where you will learn the basics of painting with models and develop your engraving skills. The Atelier is equipped with easels, spaces and counters fitted for individual work. The calligraphic engraving lab, on the right side, is also fully equipped for print-making. In front of the Atelier you can relax sitting by the Geodesic Dome, an interesting design project developed by NABA Students. You can also enjoy playing table tennis or table football with your friends.

The Media Labs hosted in the M Building, are an example of the stunning IT infrastructure and high tech equipment developed to offer our students every resource for unlimited experimentation and self-expression. Laboratories for video editing, 2D and 3D modeling, light design video arts are hosted here to better support you in your educational path. The Light Design laboratory, placed in the same building, is a completely obscured space aimed at setting up sets for photo-shooting, and it provides standard equipment including: American stage lightings, blueback backgrounds, standard spotlights and light-stands as well as more sophisticated equipment such as light mixers, spotlights and lights. The M building also hosts NABA Sound lab, an educational project within the Sound Production field: Djing and Vjing, Electronic Music Production, Sound Design and Sound Branding.

Building N hosts two of the four students' rooms available in the Campus: the Computer Room, equipped with intranet and internet reserved for students to prepare personal and didactic projects. Within the same building students will also find the Study Room, where they can study in a quiet environment between classes. Students can enjoy their meals or their free time between classes also in the two Lounge Rooms placed in the G and M buildings.

In a newly renovated space within the campus you may enjoy the Cafeteria, a bar and restaurant service offering breakfast and drinks, as well as a self-service cafeteria during lunch time. The roof hosts a pleasant terrace where you can rest and have lunch during summer time. Just a curiosity for your tour. The rings on the R Building were used to tie up horses. They were kept during the refurbishment of all the campus which was built in 1896 and it is now listed as a National Monument and covered by National Fine Arts Public Department.

The Garden is a popular spot for meeting up with friends, studying or just relaxing. Many events take place here such as open exhibitions during Design Week or multidisciplinary workshops.

The Library is located in the new L building and is the place where you will find more than 4000 volumes ranging from books, videos and magazines to more than 2000 final theses developed by students who have been graduating at NABA since 1980. As a student, you can also access the online library of Material Connexion, the largest center for advanced innovative and sustainable materials. A student reading room is adjacent to the library. Here you'll find information on public competitions, exhibitions and events.

The Auditorium is located in the new L Building, a structure recently built to house large events, exhibitions, guest lectures and other special events in the field of art fashion and design.
