Welcome to Billingsly Student Center, the hub of student activity on campus. You will find the Lion's Den as your go-to place for meals and socializing. Stop in for something to eat or drink, or to study and socialize with friends. Now more than ever, we are here to support your health and wellness. The staff at the Wilcoxon Health Center can assist you with any of your health concerns, and offer services such as vaccinations, physicals and basic care for when you're not feeling your best. Let's take a look at some of the other highlights for our campus you're sure to become familiar with. Our Beimdiek Recreation Center is available for students, with free access to the exercise equipment, indoor track, basketball, volleyball and pickleball courts. It also houses Phelps Theater, which can be utilized for classes, film screenings and more. The Rec Center also houses a brand new and full outfitted E-Sports program.

Missouri Southern has received national recognition for its international mission. Australia, Italy, Belize, Sweden, Germany and China are just a few of the countries students have traveled to for short term or semester long study abroad programs in order to gain knowledge if other cultures and international issues.

The Robert Plaster Free Enterprise Center is where business, both at home and abroad, meets the latest in technological innovation. Plaster offers computer labs, conference rooms, and a learning space dedicated to developing interpersonal skills. Plaster is the place to be for those interested in management, finance or entrepreneurship.

The Ummel Technology Building houses our industrial engineering technology and logistics programs. When visiting this building, check out our industrial robot system and 3D printing capabilities. You'll also find one of the largest cadaver labs in the region, which is utilized by our anatomy and physiology students.

Missouri Southern 's littlest Lions attend Lion Cub Academy. The childcare center works in partnership with the teacher education department, providing clinical field experience and internships. The general public takes advantage of Lion Cub Academy's educational opportunities for their children aged one through six years old, as well as MSSU students, staff, faculty and alumni.

The Mills Anderson Justice Center offers an immersive learning environment for our criminal justice majors. It includes a recently expanded crime lab and crime scene investigation simulation area, firearms range and training simulators, and a patrol driving simulator. Along with a 300-seat auditorium, the center also houses the National Guard's Show Me Gold Officer Training Program and Upward Bound, which helps prepare high-school students for the college experience.

Our residence life program is a home away from home for our students here at MSSU. With four styles of housing-from private and traditional rooms to four-person suites-there are nearly 1,000 students living on campus. Immersing yourself in all we have to offer on campus helps provide that comprehensive college experience.

Webster Hall is one of the most diverse learning hubs on campus. Communications, social sciences, and international studies are all here in one place. You'll also find our student-run television and radio stations, as well as "The Chart" - the campus newspaper. It also includes our modern languages department and a 420-seat auditorium.

Art, music and theatre students will be right at home in the fine arts building. Our art department offers studio space for ceramics, jewelry and metalsmithing, painting, printmaking and a foundry. The music department offers rehearsal and performance space for a variety of choral and instrumental ensembles, including the Southern Jazz Orchestra, Lion Pride Marching Band, and The Chamber Singers. The theatre department is designed to prepare those working on stage and behind the scenes to thrive in the industry, while practicing their craft in the Bud Walton Black Box Theatre and the soon-to-be renovated Taylor Performing Arts Center.

Built in 2015, the Ron Richard Athletic Center serves as an amazing addition to Fred G. Hughes Stadium. It boasts locker rooms for multiple sports, an athletic training room, meeting rooms, a hall of fame, offices for coaching staff and an alumni events center.

Students studying to become healthcare professionals will find themselves in the Julio S. Leon Health Sciences Center. The 85,000 sq foot building provides training facilities for healthcare majors and allows for invaluable interdisciplinary education amongst the allied health programs. The simulation center gives emergency responders, respiratory therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers the opportunity to learn and perfect the latest techniques and practices for patient care. The building also houses a dental hygiene clinic available to the campus and surrounding community.

The College of Education in Taylor Hall is home to our 22 teacher certification programs, two graduate programs, and the honors program. You will find our MSSU teacher education program is nationally accredited and filled with faculty and staff who are dedicated to developing the best possible teachers in tomorrow's classrooms.

Adjacent to the Leggett and Platt Athletic Center, Young Gymnasium houses the offices of the kinesiology department, classrooms, a basketball court, Olympic sized swimming pool, and several racquetball courts.

Hearnes Hall houses nearly all of the administrative offices of the university, as well as student services. Stop by the first floor of Hearnes Hall to apply for admission, pay a bill, explore financial aid options, or speak with the Registrar. You can also visit the third floor of Hearnes Hall to seek tutoring, advising, counseling, testing, and other student services.

You'll find a wealth of information, learning resources and relaxing places to study in the Spiva Library. You'll have access to more than 1 million items in a variety of formats, including journals, e-books, databases, multimedia and more. Multiple computer stations are available for your writing and printing needs.

Reynolds Hall is the home of our science majors, from biology and chemical and physical science, to environmental health and safety science. You'll also find labs stocked with the latest technology, tiered classrooms, computer stations and our well-stocked reptile lab. Wander the second floor to visit Hotdog the 3-foot-long Salamander, Hollywood the California King Snake, or many of the other reptile residents.

Connected to Reynolds Hall via a skywalk, Nixon Hall is designed to facilitate collaboration between students and faculty through use of modern and innovative study and classroom spaces. Nixon Hall is home to the mathematics department and features state-of-the-art labs and equipment, as well as comfortable common areas to relax or study.

The Biology Pond serves as a unique ecosystem for biology students to explore. The spring-fed pond is home to fish, turtles, frogs and other aquatic life. A 300-meter walking trail and an oriental bridge help create a picturesque stop in our beautiful campus.
