Student Life

Student Life at Molloy is vibrant and continuously growing, with more than 40 active student clubs and organizations, for both commuters and residents alike. From intramural sports to student government, from the theatre club to bonfires and s'mores on teh quad, community service, fashion shows adn fairs, there is something for everyone. And if you don't see the club you are interested in, Student Affairs will help you start your own club! There are also a wide variety of popular on-campus events, including Molloy's Got Talent. Annual traditions that take place on the Great Lawn include barbecues, zip lines, and petting zoos.

Madison Theatre

The Madison Theatre, located in the Public Square, is a 550-seat performing arts center that presents a variety of world-class entertainment, including concerts, comedy shows, musicals, book talks and dance. Student recitals and productions take place on stage at the theater, and students receive discounted tickets to all performances. Molloy offers a B.F.A. in theatre arts, our renowned CAP21 musical theatre program. CAP 21 theatre Arts students perform with professional singers and actors on the Madison stage each semester. Students also participate in management internships or work in lighting, sound and technical production. At Molloy, we support artistic expression and appreciation.

Nursing at the Hagan Center

Molloy's newest academic building is home to our nationally ranked Nursing program. The Barbara H. Hagan Center for Nursing features the latest technology in all classrooms and labs. The Clinical Learning Center's skills and simulations labs enable students to practice clinical procedures. Students provide simulated nursing care with faculty guidance in a variety of situations and healthcare settings, preparing them to care for real patients. Additionally, all undergraduate Nursing students will have extensive clinical experiences before officially launching their nursing careers. The School of Nursing and Health Sciences offers advance master's programs, three doctoral programs and Communication Sciences Disorders, Cardiovascular Tehcnology, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Respiratory Care.

Residence Life

Welcome to Molloy's residence halls – Fitzgerald, Maria Regina and Bogner--your home away from home! Molloy's residence halls add an exciting new dimension to student life, providing approximately 350 students with a chance to live where they learn. Each hall includes gender-specific wings, dedicated study and lounge areas, laundry and 24/7 staffed security desks. Each building has an "extra" component, such as a fitness center or music practice rooms. The three residence halls surround McGovern Plaza, the residential quad that includes an outdoor courtyard for students with picnic tables and a firepit. Residents enjoy regularly scheduled off-campus trips to Long Island beaches, Broadway plays, and professional sports events.

Public Square

The Public Square, Molloy's multi-level student center, houses a variety of student services and organizations. On the ground floor, you can find the Spirit Store, a café serving Starbucks drinks, breakfast, salads, sushi, sandwiches and an amazing lineup of baked goods. The Information Commons, on the second floor, provides private study rooms, a student lounge and a computer lab. International Education and the Career Center are located on the third floor, where you can learn about studying abroad, internships and jobs. Campus Ministries and the Student Personal Counseling center are also in the Public Square. Here, students can get involved in clubs, study in groups or just relax with their friends. Kellenberg Hall

Welcome to Kellenberg Hall, Molloy's signature building which houses our primary dining hall, the library and classrooms. The Anselma Room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of dietary options. Students come to the AR to eat, hang out and get work done. The James E. Tobin Library on the second floor provides students with access to numerous resources in a quiet environment, creating the perfect place for research and studying. Kellenberg is also home to our chemistry and biology labs and a dedicated state-of-the-art technology lab for Education students and a mock courtroom for the Criminal Justice programs.

Wilbur Hall

Wilbur is home to a variety of programs and services, including Admissions and Financial Aid. The Student Solution Center is a one-stop location for students' enrollment needs, helping with everything from adding a class to paying a bill! The Hays Theatre, an intimate performance space used for smaller shows, a dance studio and TV/Video communications studio are all located in Wilbur. On the lower level, the Rebecca Center for Music Therapy offers interactive interventions to individuals with developmental challenges. Attached to Wilbur is the Quealy Gym, the Athletics Department and the Fitness Center, which is free for all current students!

Athletics

Whether you are playing on the field or cheering from the stands, athletics at Molloy provide exciting opportunities to participate in campus life. Fielding 19 NCAA Division II sports, Molloy's baseball, softball, soccer and others practice and play locally, while Quealy Gym is home court to our Basketball and Volleyball teams. Molloy Madness is a campus tradition that kicks off basketball season and energizes the entire Molloy community! Club sports include the equestrian team, rugby, e-sports and – new to Molloy – Sprint Football! Molloy athletes excel in the classroom and have won the NCAA Commissioner's Cup for their commitment to community service.

William Casey Building

Business majors will spend much of their time in the Casey Center. These facilities were recently remodeled and feature a Bloomberg trading room with a streaming stock ticker. Faculty members in the School of Business bring real-world experience to their students, having worked as executives, entrepreneurs, accountants, finance managers and marketing professionals. Business students benefit from the Capstone experience, where they provide consulting services for a variety of non-profits. Casey is also home for the Allied Health program, including Nuclear Medicine Technology, Respiratory Care and Cardiovascular Technology. For a great view of Molloy's beautiful campus, be sure to take a walk through the breezeway connecting the Casey and Kellenberg buildings.

Rockville Centre

Molloy is located minutes away from downtown Rockville Centre, where you can catch the Long Island Railroad to Manhattan and Brooklyn, in 40 minutes or less. Students in the CAP21 Theatre Arts program study and rehearse at Molloy's Manhattan Center. The University is also a quick drive from JFK Airport, beautiful beaches, state parks and abundant shopping and restaurants. There are also two academic programs located in Rockville Centre, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Each program maintains a clinic where community residents can receive services, and provides valuable "hands on" experience for Molloy's students.
