Francis Quadrangle

Welcome to Francis Quadrangle, or as we call it, the Quad. Here you'll find the oldest buildings on campus including Mizzou's iconic Columns and Jesse Hall, the university's main administrative building. It's a great view for your walk to class but that's not all the Quad is for! A ton of our most important traditions happen here including the annual Tiger Walk to welcome new freshmen to Mizzou each fall. The green space is also perfect for studying, playing games or hanging with friends and I love coming out here on a nice day.

College of Engineering

We've made it to the College of Engineering where tradition meets innovation! Our university is home to the very first civil engineering program on the west side of the Mississippi River, and we're proud to say that the college has only expanded from there. Here, you will have opportunities to collaborate with peers and faculty across campus in our state-of-the-art facilities to gain hands-on experience that complements your in-class coursework. College of Education & Human Development

Welcome to the College of Education and Human Development! Founded in 1867, Mizzou was one of the first public universities in the nation to establish a college specifically for the development of teachers. Today, students are trained in education leadership, counseling, early childhood education, special education, higher education, family and lifespan development and much more. The college is a national leader with its top-rated graduate degree programs and a curriculum that emphasizes early hands-on experiences for its future teachers. More than 50,000 living Tigers worldwide have graduated from the College of Education and Human Development.

One of the best things about Mizzou is that it's a big campus with a tight-knit community feel and that's because of the many classroom options offered here. Our Tigers can choose between small 25-person, discussion-based classes, to mid-sized classrooms of about 75 students and of course the traditional large lecture hall. No matter the size of your class, our professors are here to support you in your academic journey. Want to dive even deeper? Welcome to the Reynolds Journalism Institute, part of the world-famous Missouri School of Journalism. Founded in 1908, Mizzou's J-School was the first journalism school in the country and is one of the best in the nation. It's where the university's famous Missouri Method style of hands-on learning was created and perfected. Students get to experience their dream careers before they graduate by practicing their skills in media outlets and multimedia laboratories. After all, why only learn about something in a classroom when you can build your resume and get real-world experience?

9th Street connects Mizzou's iconic campus to bustling downtown Columbia. You can live just steps away from coffee shops, galleries, theaters and beautiful hiking trails. It's a huge advantage to live so close to such a vibrant area. There's always something to explore, eat or do! One of my favorite things to do is to try all the different cuisines represented in the restaurants downtown. It's so easy to grab a great slice of pizza or some sushi. Columbia is truly one of America's best college towns!

Sinclair School of Nursing

Ranked at the top of its field, the Sinclair School of Nursing is housed in a new building with the latest technology and teaching resources. Becoming a Mizzou Made nurse includes immersive learning experiences and clinical placements, collaborating with world-renowned faculty and engaging in life-saving research. Our students proudly strive to improve the health of all people, especially Missourians, through discovery, teaching, practice and scholarship. Sinclair sets its students up for success and nearly 100% of graduates find placements just weeks after graduation.

It's safe to say that Speakers Circle is one of the most interesting places on campus. There's always something cool happening here, and it's different every day. Most commonly, you'll see student organizations fundraising or food trucks ready to serve you something delicious. If that isn't enough, then the people watching is top-notch!

Brady Fountain

Welcome to Brady Fountain! Located between the Student Center and Strickland Hall, this classic landmark is just one of the many beautiful features of Mizzou's campus. It's also a key part of one of Mizzou's secret traditions: every year dozens of students show their Tiger pride and take a dip in the fountain.

Ellis Library

Ellis Library is the biggest of the nine libraries on campus and is the largest public research library in Missouri. As a Tiger, you'll have access to all four floors and more than three million volumes. Study in total quiet in our silent reading rooms or enjoy the computer labs and café on the lower floors. Our research librarians will go above and beyond to help you find the resources you need.

Lowry Mall

Our next stop takes us to Lowry Mall. What once was an actual street is now a student walkway and home to our Honors College, Discovery Center, Student Success Center, Memorial Union and Ellis Library. It's also a great gathering spot and central to most Mizzou landmarks including the Student Center, Speaker's Circle and Jesse Hall. Take a shortcut to your classes or check out farmers markets, thrift sale pop-ups, student events and more!

Student Success Center

The Student Success Center can be found on Lowry Mall across from Ellis Library and is the proud home of our Career, Writing, and Learning Centers. No matter where you are in your college career, Mizzou has the resources to support you academically. The Career Center is dedicated to aiding current students and alumni in their job searches and many Tigers take advantage of their resume and cover letter workshops. The advisors at the Writing Center are always here to help you write an essay or research paper and our Tiger Tutors are a great resource to help ensure your academic success.

Memorial Student Union

Memorial Union is my favorite building on campus because it's so rich in history. Its two towers were originally constructed to commemorate fallen MU veterans during the World Wars. While the inside does feature a Starbucks location, Memorial Union is also home to our Veteran's Center, the International Center, and the Disability Center. Memorial Union is one of Mizzou's most iconic landmarks and it represents the strength of our MU community.

College of Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources

The College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, also known as CAFNR, provides students with the chance to explore the world through real-world application and problem solving. On-campus greenhouses, a Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory, an Animal Science Research Center and many other research laboratories are just a few of the opportunities CAFNR gives its students to enhance the sustainability of natural resources and agriculture.

Meet the largest college at Mizzou, the College of Arts and Science. There are more than fifty degree programs in A&S. Students' fitness options are limitless here at MizzouRec! Tigers have access to nearly 300,000 square feet of workout and activity space. There are 10 multi-sport courts, two pools, several rooms full of bikes, treadmills and weights as well as a rock-climbing wall, boxing gym and even a blacklight cycling room! For students interested in working out in the fresh air, MizzouRec facilities include an outdoor track, open-air fitness space and Stankowski Field. Of course, there's more to your well-being than your fitness. Mizzou's Student Health Center, Counseling Center and Wellness Resource Center are all conveniently located just steps away from the Rec. We strive to assist students by prioritizing health-related services and resources to support academic success!

MU Student Center

Welcome to the hub of campus! The MU Student Center is the perfect place to study, grab something to eat and meet new friends. Students can hang out in The Shack with a burger from Mort's or take care of business with our full-service bank and mail center. The Mizzou Store is fully stocked with black and gold merchandise, school supplies and all the textbooks you need for class. Don't forget to check out Tiger Tech, too, which has all your technology needs covered.

Located right above the Mizzou Store, the Center for Student Involvement, or CSI, is home to our 500+ clubs and organizations. Not sure how to get involved on campus? Our Involvement Ambassador team is here to help! When you make an appointment with them, they evaluate your hobbies and interests and help you find the best involvement opportunities. Explore clubs, Fraternity and Sorority life, intramural sports, student media outlets and more. The CSI is an excellent way to find and make connections with other students who are passionate about the same things.

MU Resource Centers

The lower level of the MU Student Center is home to several of our Resource Centers. Here you'll find the Women's Center, the Multicultural Center, and the LGBTQ Resource Center. Over on Virginia Avenue, you'll find the Gaines-Oldham Black Culture Center, named after the first black student admitted into MU's law school and the first black Curator. These centers are open for all students, faculty, and staff to learn and have a safe space on campus. Each center has its own programming, events and organizations to promote on-campus inclusion and diversity. Exploring our Resource Centers is a great opportunity to get involved on campus and learn about the various identities and cultures that make up our MU community.

Carnahan Quad

This is Carnahan Quad, one of the largest open green spaces on campus, and where you'll find Tiger and Traditions Plazas. These plazas symbolize the pride our Tigers feel in the university and are the perfect gathering place for student and alumni events. Every year to kick off Homecoming, the dome of Jesse Hall lights up Mizzou gold while students watch from Traditions Plaza. On the other end of Carnahan, you'll find Tiger Plaza and our iconic life-size bronze tiger statue.

Want to see where we cheer on the Tigers? Mizzou Arena is where our men's and women's basketball teams battle their SEC opponents. Just steps away you'll find Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium, home of Mizzou Football. Rounding out the Sports Park is the Hearnes Center where you can watch gymnastics meets, wrestling matches and volleyball games, the Mizzou Softball Stadium, Simmons baseball field at Taylor Stadium and the Audrey J.
