Welcome to Massasoit Community College!
Founded in 1966 and located in southeastern Massachusetts, Massasoit provides its students with access to high quality, innovative associate degree and certificate programs tailored to fit their educational goals. In addition to specialized offerings by campus, each of our three locations offer a full range of prerequisite, and degree completion courses. We pride ourselves on the ability to provide an affordable, accessible education that responds to the needs of our students. Massasoit remains committed to providing programs and services that will prepare students to be successful in their future endeavors, whether they are planning to enter the workforce or continue their education.

We begin our tour at the Administration building, home to our warm, friendly, college staff and administrators, eager to assist students. Here you can find helpful enrollment and student services offices such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and the Registrar. Massasoit is a diverse learning community, and it is our mission to support all students in their education. Whether your next step is the beginning of your career, or you plan to continue your education at a four-year institution, the pursuit of lifelong learning is a goal for all of our students. The Student Center is the active and vibrant core of the student experience at Massasoit. The Office of Student Life promotes a global community and the social, intellectual, and emotional growth of our diverse student body by engaging students in a variety of programs, clubs, and service & leadership opportunities. Many student events are held during the activity hour, which is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-1pm. Our full-service cafeteria offers a variety of meal options including full hot meals, grab-and-go, and a salad & sandwich bar.

The upper student lounge is the primary gathering place for students on the Brockton campus. Here you can study, socialize with friends, and participate in college events and club activities. Located in the center of the campus facing the outdoor campus quad, student life events are often hosted here as well as many student presentations. The Student Lounge is where we host our open houses, new student orientations, the Fall Transfer Fair, and our honors conferences. The Dean of Students office, adjacent to the lounge, serves as an advocate for students and provides support for those students with concerns such as emergencies, illness, and problem solving and conflict resolution.

The Massasoit library provides reference materials, circulation books, streaming video, and newspapers and periodicals in both printed and electronic formats. The Library also offers a variety of student-friendly resources like study carrels, computer work stations, copy machines, and reserve material collections. Our library staff provides professional reference assistance, and students have access to other libraries' materials through interlibrary loan. The library also houses the college archives, preserving and making accessible our historical materials.

In the newly renovated lower level, the college provides students with updated spaces to work, learn, and engage. Massasoit offers support services for enrolled students, including the TRiO and CHOICES programs. These programs provide for students who need additional support – those who are first-generation, low income, or those with disabilities – with the resources they need to graduate, continue their education, or begin on their chosen career path. In this area, you will find the Center for Life-long Learning and the Women's Resource Center, which run programs and events throughout the year; and the Career Center, offering comprehensive career-planning services, including an online joblink, an annual job fair, and resume writing and interview skills training.

The Testing and Assessment Office administers placement and other testing that satisfy requirements for students, academic programs, and the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. Down the hall, you will find our Veterans Center, a one-stop location with a dedicated counselor available to assist veterans with navigating educational and financial benefits; a lounge area for studying and socializing, computer workstations, and a multimedia-enabled conference area for presentations and meetings. Also on this level is our Center for Experiential Learning, offering civic engagement and internship opportunities to students, and the Ubuntu Scholars program, a minority male mentoring program developed to facilitate a culturally inclusive learning community. The bookstore, health services, and college police are also located in this area.

Our most recently renovated space on campus, the Advisement & Counseling Center is home to our academic advising, transfer, and disability services offices, as well as our comprehensive Academic Resource Center. The Advisement & Counseling Center assists students with making the right class choices for their educational and career goals – with more than 50 programs of study and over 800 courses offered each year, our students appreciate the guidance they provide! The ARC provides students with expert tutoring in many subjects, including math, science, and writing.

The Peter G. Asiaf Field House includes a gymnasium, swimming pool, weight room, racquetball court, and an all-purpose room for programs like yoga and dance. The Massasoit Warriors are members of the National Junior College Athletic Association, an intercollegiate league offering competitive sports programs in soccer, basketball, baseball, women's softball, golf, cross country, and track & field. Our competitive athletic teams have won numerous state and regional titles, and national titles in baseball and soccer.

Massasoit offers a variety of health care related programs, including nursing, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, dental and medical assisting,EMT and paramedic. The strength of these programs has made Massasoit a leader in providing well-trained healthcare workers to our local region. Each program has specific laboratory facilities providing technical training, and many partner with clinical sites in local hospitals where our students gain hands-on skills and experience.
The Buckley Center

The Anna P. Buckley Performing Arts Center has a large theater for concerts, recitals, plays and meetings. Also known as the Fine Arts building, it is home to The Dale Dorman Radio studio, a fully equipped television studio, and the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame. Also located here is The Massasoit Children's Center, an NAYEC accredited childcare and childhood education center available to students and staff alike.

The Brockton Campus has five primarily academic buildings: Business, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Science, and Technology. These academic buildings feature "smart" classrooms, and several networked, open access computer labs for students to use for their class work. There are additional classrooms in the Field House and Fine Arts buildings, also located on the Brockton Campus.

Massasoit's Canton campus is located in the Blue Hills area just south of Boston,and just minutes from routes 128 and 95. Our 18-acre campus features "smart" classrooms, computer labs, a library, bookstore, full-service cafeteria, and student commons. This campus offers a wide variety of programs and courses, and specializes in emergent technology and the visual arts, and is home to three art galleries: the Milton Art Museum, the Akillian Gallery, and the Alumni Gallery. For the convenience of our students, the College provides a regularly scheduled, campus shuttle that travels between the Brockton and Canton Campuses.

The administrative wing lobby serves as the home for the Milton Art Museum, a collection in residence since 2003, boasting many priceless works of art by well-known artists. The Alumni Gallery hosts an ongoing series of long-term exhibits of former student's current artistic pursuits. Just beyond the lobby, you will find the Enrollment Center where staff from admissions, registration, financial aid, and student accounts can assist with your enrollment needs. The Canton Academic Resource Center, located down the hall, provides tutoring and other expert academic assistance to students.

The Student Commons is the social hub of the Canton campus. Located between the administrative and academic wings, and directly below the library, it is a central location for our students to gather, study and socialize. Many student life events and activities are hosted here. Adjacent to the student commons is our full-service cafeteria, bookstore, and Student Life office.

The Canton campus is home to many of our Technology Programs, including Associate degree programs in veterinary technology, diesel, electronic technology, HVAC, and engineering transfer with options in mechanical, chemical, electrical, and civil engineering. Each has hands-on, innovative laboratory facilities for students. Our diesel students even have a full-size refrigerated trailer where they are able to perfect both diesel and refrigeration skills.

The Canton Campus is also home to our Architectural Technology and Visual Arts programs, including courses in graphic design, illustration, printmaking, fine arts, painting, and sculpture. The Architectural Technology and Visual Arts programs have highly specialized, program-specific classrooms, CAD and computer labs, as well as well-equipped fine art studio spaces. The Akillian Gallery, designed by Massasoit architecture students, hosts traveling exhibitions, lectures, and other college gatherings.

Massasoit's Middleborough Center is located in historic downtown Middleborough and is easily accessible by many major roadways including routes 495 and 44. A former elementary school, renovated in 2010, the Center is now a modern, bright facility with state-of-the-art lab and classroom space, offering students small class sizes. Here, students may complete full degree programs in liberal arts, business, and criminal justice. Students can also take core and prerequisite courses toward most other associate degree and certificate programs. The Center is also home to a modern Emergency Medical Services Educational Suite.

Our state-of-the-art Emergency Medical Services education and training suite contains all of the necessary components for initial and continuing education for Emergency Medical Technicians, known as EMTs, and Paramedics. It was designed with the National Registry Exam in mind, so the suite has practical rooms for patient assessment, airway management, cardiac, and IV/medicine, all equipped with cutting edge simulators and equipment. The Suite's crown jewel is an Ambulance Simulation Lab where students can combine their practical skills, classroom instruction, and clinical experience in a dynamic, interactive training environment. Under the tutelage of lead instructors bringing more than 200 combined years of EMS experience, our innovative program prepares students to be leaders in the EMS field.

Our newly renovated biological sciences lab has transformed the Center, attracting more students, and making it possible for those students to complete their degree in Middleborough. The bright and modern lab is equipped with new biological models, microscopes, and equipment for hands-on science learning. Offering courses in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Human Nutrition, and Environmental Studies, our new lab serves student needs ranging from science courses for the non-science student, to courses for those students aspiring to allied health fields or advanced science degrees.
