It was once a real barn, but it's now where you can meet your admissions counselor and start to learn what it's like to be a Pioneer. A favorite spot on campus is Emma's Lounge and Café-- named for Emma Malone, co-founder of Malone University with her husband J. Walter Malone. Emma's is a great place for students to study, grab coffee with friends, or just hang out. Upstairs, Bennett Lounge has tables and leather chairs for studying and conversation around a cozy fireplace. The Barn is also home to the offices of Student Development and Spiritual Formation, and the staff members who work there are excited to help you grow as a person as you navigate your faith journey.

Hoover Courtyard

Malone is known for building community, and here's another location where that takes place; The beautiful Herbert W. Hoover Courtyard. New students begin their Malone experience here with Countdown, an event to help incoming students become acclimated to Malone by securing their official ID and finalizing their first semester schedule. During the school year, students enjoy lounging in an Adirondack chair or bringing their hammock to our Hammock Farm, which is adjacent to the Courtyard.

Brehme Centennial Center

Housed in the Brehme Centennial Center, the Hoover Dining Commons is home to AVI Fresh, our award-winning dining service provider. The Commons layout lets you choose from a variety of menu selections without having to stand in long cafeteria lines. Downstairs, Froggy's Lounge is a great place for a quick study break, or you can stop in to our Campus Store to purchase textbooks, stock up on school supplies, and show your spirit with Pioneer apparel!

Hazen Field

The Pioneers are nationally known for producing outstanding running teams. Here is our eight-lane, all-weather track. It's utilized for varsity practices and by several local running clubs. As designated by the archway at the entrance of the track, it is named to honor Jack Hazen, Olympic distance coach and legendary Pioneer cross country coach emeritus.

Haviland Hall

Haviland Hall is located on the Quad and it serves as a residence hall for female students. Residents enjoy Haviland's suite-style housing where two rooms are joined by a bath. This hall offers all the comforts of home with carpeting and air-conditioning. Here, you can make lifelong friendships as you take part in a variety of fun residence hall activities. Also, residents and non-residents alike can benefit from the services offered by our Information Technologies department and help desk, conveniently located in the basement of Haviland for all your technological needs.

Quad

The Quad is the green space where much of Malone student life takes place. The year begins with the Campus Block Party, which includes great food, a rock climbing wall, and a giant game of "Musical Squares," and when the weather is nice, it's the home of our student-led Celebration worship service. Malone students hang out in the Quad catching some rays, studying, or tossing around a football or frisbee, and our fire pit is a cozy spot to gather with friends and unwind after a long day of classes.

Heritage Hall

Heritage Hall, also located next to the Quad, houses men in suites with bedrooms and conjoined bathrooms. This hall offers all the comforts of home, including carpeting, air conditioning, and a new kitchenette! Study rooms and lounges are located on each floor, giving students the opportunity to gather as a group for residence hall activities throughout the year, like the annual Heritage Christmas House tradition.

Blossom Hall

The University's newest residence hall is Blossom, which serves as a housing option for women. Blossom features suite-style living where two rooms are joined by a shared bath. Rooms are carpeted, air-conditioned, and offer all the comforts of home. This is also one of the places where you'll experience a sense of the Malone community, as you take part in fun hall activities, work together on service projects, enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner together, and make life-long friendships.

Regula Hall

This beautiful fountain points the way to Regula Hall. Here you'll find Regula Café, a modern spot to take a break from a rigorous academic schedule. Regula Hall is home to the Department of Nursing, and in it you will find the Center for Clinical Learning, a dynamic environment where students work with experienced nurses and faculty using state-of-the-art technologies and equipment to prepare for real life nursing. Experiential learning through this simulation training is one reason Malone nursing graduates are among the most sought-after by health care organizations.

Mitchell Hall

Mitchell Hall is home to the Department of Education and the Department of Business and Technologies. Strong academics pay off in career outcomes for both disciplines as Malone University teachers and business graduates are in high demand! Classrooms are fully equipped with the most current technology. Mitchell Hall also houses the Fred F. Silk Auditorium, where a number of community events take place. So what about that beautiful stained glass window? The symbols it displays are the same as on the University's academic seal, representing the integration of faith and learning. Adjacent to Mitchell, you'll find our campus prayer labyrinth, a quiet and creative place for personal reflection and prayer, made possible by the generosity of the Lilly Endowment.

Malone Zoo

Timken Science Hall is home to our beloved Malone Zoo, a dedicated space that hosts a variety of fish, birds, reptiles, and mammals who give our Zoo and Wildlife Biology students an up close and personal animal handling experience. Malone students frequently gain internships with prestigious zoos, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and nature preserves around the country, later moving on to competitive careers that they enjoy.

Theatre

Malone Theatre is housed in Founder's Hall and stages main shows and one-act plays each semester. Students from any program of study can benefit from the experiences that theatre has to offer. Unique theatre opportunities at Malone include the Ten Minute Play festival and 24-Hour Theater-- where students write and produce entire one-act plays within 24 hours. In early days, theatre was patronized by royalty and actors would direct their performances to the king. Malone Theatre keeps this tradition with the motto, "Play to the King" honoring King Jesus with each performance.

Everett Cattell Library

The Cattell Library offers a spacious, open area for studying. As a member of the Ohio Private Academic Libraries and OhioLINK, we have online access to journals, ebooks, and millions of items from other libraries across the state. We also provide guides and tutorials to help you find what you need. The Library is home to The Saint John's Bible Heritage Edition, a rare reproduction of the first hand-written Bible since the invention of the printing press. And upstairs, you’ll find our newly renovated Center for Student Success, which is open and ready to provide resources that can guide you toward fulfilling your academic and career goals, including academic advising, testing, tutoring, accessibility, and more. These services are just part of Malone’s campus-wide Pendle Hill Pledge initiative, designed to help you embrace your vocation through mentoring, experiential learning, and career support across the curriculum. Because, at Malone, faculty and staff alike want to help equip you to lead a purposeful and meaningful life so you are prepared to be a servant leader not only professionally but personally as well. And to complement Malone's new varsity Esports program, the basement of the library now houses the Esports Arena, a state-of-the-art hub outfitted with computers and consoles. From Smash Bros. to Rocket League, the competition happens here.

Gymnasium (Osborne Hall)

Osborne Hall is home to the Malone University Pioneers. Malone is an NCAA Division II university offering students the opportunity to compete in a total of 19 men's and women's intercollegiate sports, including new teams for men's and women's lacrosse. Students can also choose from a wide variety of sports in our competitive intramural and club sports programs. Pioneers excel not just on the field, but also in the classroom. Johnson Center

The Johnson Center for Worship and the Fine Arts is a center for cultural and Christian formation programs on our campus. Here, you'll find academic departments including Theology, Music, Communication, Visual, and Performing Arts, as well as English and Creative Writing. The Worship Center is a 1,100 seat venue where you can experience the joy of Community Worship through music, Scripture, and inspiring speakers. It also serves as an auditorium for concerts and many other exciting programs, including Christmas at Malone. The JC's Courtyard is a beautiful place for quiet reflection.

Pioneer Park

Malone University is now celebrating the opening of Pioneer Park’s multipurpose field –named King Field– which first opened for use at the beginning of August 2021. Made possible by a generous gift from the Hoover Foundation, as well as friends and alumni of Malone, this lighted field with a synthetic turf surface hosts Pioneer soccer and lacrosse as well as competitions in those sports at all levels. It will also serve as a training and recreation venue for intramural and youth sports, as well as a setting for concerts and other outdoor performances. A living laboratory, the completion of King Field creates opportunities for current and future Malone students to gain hands-on learning experiences in business management, operations, promotions & marketing, event management, and logistics.

C.T. Branin Natatorium

The C.T. Branin Natatorium is a premier swimming facility located just two miles from campus that hosts a variety of high-level competitions. The Malone swimming and diving team practices and competes at this location, which is equipped with the latest swimming technologies and systems. This facility can host 2,400 spectators while also accommodating up to 1,000 swimmers on deck.
