George Shinn Welcome Center

Welcome to the George Shinn Center! Opened in 2019, this is the newest academic facility on campus and home to the College of Entertainment and the Arts. This building features a multi-use Event Hall for community and campus events, innovative and interdisciplinary studio space, as well as a new Admissions Welcome Center. If you're able to visit us in person, this is where you would begin your tour!

Ezell Center

Welcome to the Ezell Center. This building is home to many programs including: - Department of Communication and Journalism - College of Bible and Ministry - Fred D. Gray Institute for Law, Justice, & Society - as well as our nationally recognized College of Education. On any given day these classrooms will be filled with undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students learning from top-notch faculty in small classroom settings. Also located in this building is our 6,000 sq. ft. broadcast studio. This includes a fully functioning newsroom along with television, radio and online studios. You will have access to these spaces as a student if you choose to get involved with our student-run news network!

Student Activities Center

Now we are at the Student Activity Center, also known as the SAC, to see our recreational facilities. With two full-length basketball courts, four racquetball courts, a full-size weight room and a certified spin studio, we have everything you need to stay active during your time at Lipscomb. You can take a group fitness class, such as Zumba, yoga or aerobics to stay motivated and fit with your friends. If competitive sports are more your thing, sign up for one of our intramural teams and participate in flag football, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, tennis and much more.

Our NCAA Division I athletics are a big part of life at Lipscomb! We compete at the highest level as part of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Every year during our biggest game, called Battle of the Boulevard, students cheer on the Bisons against one of our biggest rivals. Allen Arena is also the place that brings our campus together to worship and learn in community. Every week, students participate in Chapel services where we hear from relevant speakers such as musicians, NFL players, authors, and influential leaders. Chapel allows you to take time out of the day to connect with your community, focus on God and grow in your faith.

The Swang Business Center, home to both our College of Business and College of Computing and Technology, is where technology and innovation come together to launch the next generation of careers. Nationally recognized by Bloomberg Businessweek, the College of Business prepares students to excel in their vocational calling as a servant-leader. From business-focused global learning trips to local internship opportunities, is committed to real-world learning. Our on-campus facilities include a newly renovated Financial Markets Lab and our Center for Business as Mission. With 11 undergraduate degree options, the most offered in the state of Tennessee, the College of Computing and Technology offers The CCT classroom and study space is modeled to reflect a start-up company environment, with all the tools needed to inspire creativity, and often hosts fun activities including video game tournaments and cyber security competitions.

One of our favorite parts about Nashville is the music scene that Rolling Stone named the best in the country. Here at Lipscomb, we are part of that music culture. Artists like the Civil Wars, Luke Bryon, Chris Tomlin, JohnnySwim, and Mat Kearney have performed on our campus and in this venue Alumni Auditorium. One of our own music traditions at Lipscomb is our annual student-led production called Singarama. This is your chance to get up on the stage with all of your friends, regardless of their musical talents, to make a 25-minute musical from the ground up. The stage is waiting for you!

Most students will tell you their favorite place to hangout on campus is right here in Bison Square! Every week our Student Government Association and Student Activities Board will plan awesome events like free Maggie Moo's ice cream, the annual rush fair hosted by our social clubs, swing dancing lessons, concerts, and more. Whether it's a big event or simply hanging out after class, Bison Square brings our community together.

Welcome to the Bennett Campus Center, the most vibrant and social hub on campus. Here, you will find lots of students hanging out and studying in the lounge, and you will also find most of our on campus dining options. Enjoy the Bison Café dining hall with the best poppy seed chicken around or grab food to-go downstairs at Chick-fil-a, Papa John's or our Starbucks, which is all included in your meal plan! On the lowest level, you will find most of our student life offices as well as our Lipscomb bookstore and full service post office. The Bennett Campus Center is truly the center of campus.

Upperclassmen Residence Halls

Welcome to our upperclassmen residence halls! The Village is our on-campus apartments for upperclassmen students. Each apartment has four fully furnished bedrooms, four private bathrooms, a living room and a full kitchen. Like all of our residence halls on campus, laundry is free! The Village is reserved for juniors and seniors. Johnson Hall, Bison Hall and Sewell Hall are all other popular upperclassmen dorm options. Whichever hall you choose, dorm life at Lipscomb means late-night hangouts, small group devotionals and fun community-building activities like sports watch-parties, karaoke and craft nights. It won't take long for Lipscomb to feel like home.

Welcome to Elan Hall, our largest first-year women's dorm. Renovated in 2020, the dorm offers traditional-style, double-occupancy rooms with shared community bathrooms on each floor. Elam also boasts a large lobby, kitchen, conference room, courtyard and study rooms for residents to enjoy. Freshmen and sophomores will live in Elam Hall, Fanning Hall or High Rise. McFarland Science Center

We've arrived at the newly renovated McFarland Science Center. With a 24,000 foot expansion and six brand new labs, McFarland is equipped to help you explore the many fields of science. Home to the Department of Biology, one of our most popular programs of study, this facility is a launchpad to prepare students with the foundations to apply to medical school or go on to become professors themselves - whatever comes next.

Welcome to the Nursing and Health Sciences Center. This is a site for traditional classroom learning as well as hands-on learning in the simulation lab. This lab has 16 fully equipped hospital beds with computerized mannequins for students to practice their skills before heading out for clinical rotations at various local Nashville hospitals. With our campus's location in Nashville, the leading healthcare city in the nation, Lipscomb's School of Nursing students are prepared to take the NCLEX. 98 percent of our most recent graduating class passed the NCLEX on their first attempt, and began their careers.

James D. Hughes Center

Our next stop is the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research Center. Everyday, students and faculty collaborate together in this facility to conduct life-saving National Institutes of Health grant-funded research and medical innovations that have the potential to improve the quality of life for people around the world. Our College of Pharmacy offers degrees from the undergraduate to doctoral level, including a 3+1 track to get you there even faster.

Fields Engineering Center

We've arrived at the Fields Engineering Center. Here, our undergraduate students in the Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering are designing bridges, building cars, finding and embedding hidden data in images, developing renewable energy systems and building autonomous robotic systems. As an engineering student at Lipscomb, you have access to dedicated study space and three hands-on innovation labs with cutting edge technology. You can choose from three ABET accredited programs in mechanical, civil and electrical & computer engineering. With an engineering degree from Lipscomb University, you will be prepared to serve at the forefront of the technological and scientific industries as an innovative and ethical leader.

Beaman Library

Welcome to Beaman Library! If you are looking for a place to study, research or meet to focus on group projects, you will want to spend time here. Often students prefer to study in one of the many study rooms available in this building. It also houses our English and Modern Languages department as well our Academic Success Center, which is a one-stop-shop for all university academic support resources. This is a perfect location to find someone to help you study for a test or proofread one of your papers. The ASC is committed to your success while here at Lipscomb.
