Jewell is a Nationally ranked liberal arts college in Liberty, Missouri and just minutes from Kansas City. My name is Cari, and I will be one of your tour guides today!

Marston is home to the faculty offices and simulation labs of the Nursing department, classrooms and other academic disciplines, allowing fast access to professors and resources.
Marston also houses our Oxbridge Honors Program. The Oxbridge Honors Program is the only program in the United States offering a full curriculum of tutorial-based instruction in conjunction with a year of study in England. This highly personalized approach to education combines the best of the British and American approaches to education.

A hub for campus activity, the Yates-Gill College Union features include a two-story glass atrium, meeting rooms, the Dining Hall, The Perch coffee shop, The Cage dining hall, the bookstore, a balcony study space and various student services.
Each Friday we gather for Jewell Time in the Union. This is a time for faculty, students, and staff to re-connect and recognize individuals or groups engaged in unique activities across campus and beyond.
The Union is home to over 70 student organizations including academic honor societies, multicultural, social, and leadership organizations – just to name a few!
John Gano Memorial Chapel

Gano Chapel, named for Reverend John Gano, founder of the First Baptist Church of New York City and chaplain to General George Washington, the John Gano Memorial Chapel was dedicated in 1926. It is the site of speeches by U.S. Presidents Harry S. Truman, Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter as well as the professional recital debut of tenor Luciano Pavarotti in 1973.
Today, Gano is home to the Thomas and Virginia Fields Convocation Center which houses the Quimby Pipe Organ Opus 55 as well as the Center for Justice and Sustainability where we actively learn about Social Responsibility & Engagement.

The first intercollegiate basketball game in Missouri was played in this building in 1899 against the inventor of basketball, Dr. James Naismith.
Since then, Brown hall has been renovated and houses the Peters Theater, Stocksdale Gallery; the Art, Communication and Theatre Departments, The Multicultural Center, the Debate Team (which by the way has ranked as one of the 10 best debate institutions in the nation), and our campus newspaper, the Hilltop Monitor.
When you visit, see if you can find some of the original basketball gym and racquetball floors throughout the building!
First-Year Triangle

Here we are now at the First-Year Residential triangle and Ely Hall. In addition to serving as a residence hall, Ely houses our Student Health Center, and our 24-hour Wellness Center, a modern fitness center open to the Jewell community.
In addition, Browning and Eaton Halls make up the homes for all new first-year students and sit on the First-Year Triangle.
Each first-year hall has its own unique traditions and experiences, as well as shared common events and student development for first-year students. These experiences begin during New Student Orientation and run throughout the entire first year.
The triangle itself and each of the individual buildings offer common space for both individual and collaborative study, developing friendships and social and recreational spaces.

Welcome to the John Priest Greene Presidents Home. This and has been home to every Jewell president over the last century, this house really belongs to the Jewell community. Shumaker Sorority Complex and Greek Commons was designed with a community focus, joining four sorority houses with common spaces. The building features suite-style rooms, social lounges, a fitness center, study rooms and fully equipped kitchens. Welcome to Greene Stadium. Here, and throughout our other athletic facilities, the Cardinals complete compete in 20 men's and women's sports at the NCAA Division II level in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The Fred & Shirley Pryor Center for Leadership Development is committed to developing leaders who will transform and improve their communities.
The Pryor Center consists of two distinctive undergraduate programs: Pryor Leadership Studies Program and the Nonprofit Leadership major and minor.
The Pryor Leadership Studies Program is internationally-recognized and one of the top leadership programs in the nation. This 3-year program will complement any major or degree program and prepare you to be a leader in your organization and community.
