Many Illinois College students easily describe the feelings they had when they first stepped on campus. Tanner Hall

Tanner Hall is the most common place to begin a visit to campus as it is the home of the Office of Admission. There you can meet with an admission counselor and begin a tour of campus guided by one of our Student Ambassadors. Tanner Hall is also where to find the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, and the registrar.
Rammelkamp Chapel

*Rammelkamp Chapel* serves as a gathering place for a number of special events throughout the year. This is where you come to hear authors like Colson Whitehead, comedians like *Maysoon Zayid* or other guest speakers like actress Amber Tamblyn - all for credit toward graduation. It is also the home of many of the college's student religious-life organizations and weekly services.
Schewe Library

Just like many libraries, *Schewe Library* has academic resources to help you on your journey to Graduate Ready. What makes our library unique is our additional amenities. For example, our digital learning center allows you to collaborate on big projects with your peers. It also lets your professors engage with you on real-life case studies. Schewe is also home to the *Khalaf Al Habtoor* Archives. The archives allow our students to see a glimpse of the past. Many history majors find themselves here as interns or working side-by-side with their professors on research projects!
Kirby Learning Center

The first thing you see when you walk into Kirby Learning Center is the hall of flags that symbolize the more than 30 nations represented by our students, faculty and staff. Nearly every student takes a class here in one of our recently renovated classrooms that facilitates engagement. Kirby is also the place to where you can experience the annual *Tournees Film Festival* in the Kirby Lecture Hall or take in a performance by IC's improv troupe, Lincoln's Security Detail, in our Icebox Theater.
Baxter Hall

Need a place to study, or want to grab a sub sandwich between classes? Baxter Hall offers several places for students to spread out to work on projects with classmates either in the lounge or on the patio. Baxter is also the home to Mondo's Subs, where the smell of toasting bread convinces you it is one of the most popular eating place on campus where you can find specialty and made-to-order sandwiches. While you're here, don't forget to stop by the mailroom to pick up the pakage from your most recent online purchase or stop by the Office of Student Financial Services get assistance with your financial aid or student account.
Parker Science Building

Parker Science Building is home of, you guessed it, the sciences. If you are interested in programs like biology, chemistry, nursing, or pre-med, Parker will quickly become your second home where you are guaranteed hands-on learning experiences, often participating in student-faculty research that will prepare you well for future graduate programs or that first job after graduation.
Beecher Hall

*Beecher Hall*, the first college building in the State of Illinois, was built in 1829 and is still used today as the gathering and meeting place for two of the College's literary societies. What's a literary society? They are the student organizations that founded modern fraternities and sororities but unlike their contemporary counterparts, Lit societies retain the components that help you after graduation with skills like leadership, communication, working in teams and critical thinking. You'll be part of something that has been around for generations while preparing for the future.
Sturtevant Hall

Generations of IC students have left their mark on this iconic IC building by literally carving their initials into the brick exterior including former secretary of state and presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan, who carved his initials when he was an Illinois College student in the 1880s. *Sturtevant Hall* has been watching over campus since Mark Twain visited and is now home to programs like criminal justice, sociology and English.
Crampton Hall

As one of the oldest buildings at Illinois College, Crampton Hall offers single, double, tripple and quad living spaces.You can find a study and activity lounge on each floor. It is the only residence hall located on the Upper Quad which means you're just steps away from your classes and the large grassy area in the front of the building is perfect for thorwing the frisbee around with friends or enjoying a sunny afternoon studying outside.

Illinois College alumni are engaged with students throughout the year and love visiting the Hilltop campus to visit classrooms and share their experiences across a wide range of professions. If you are looking to get involved on campus or grab a bite to eat, the Caine Student Center is the place to be! Cummings Dining Hall offers diners their favorite comfort foods as well as the chance to try new dishes. Caine is also homebase for the over 80 student organizations covering every imaginable interest. No need to worry about whether or not you'll fit in - there is literally something for everyone. You can find the IC Store in Caine. All textbooks and classroom materials are included in tuition so you don't have to worry about having the right books or waiting to get them from Amazon, not to mention the cost! Instead you can use that money you save to buy a cool new sweatshirt in the spirit store.
Meraki Gaming Center

Illinois College's new esports facility, the *Meraki Gaming Center*, is located in the heart of campus within the Caine Student Center and includes 10 computer gaming stations and two console gaming stations that are open for student use when the IC esports team is not practicing or competing.

Lincoln Hall is the largest building on campus and is one of our most popular residence halls, housing 200 students in suite-style living, but is also hub for all sorts of other activity. Literally, the Hub in Lincoln Hall is a one-stop-shop for student support. Need help on your resume? Need some tips for managing your time more wisely? Feeling a little under the weather? Thinking about studying abroad or applying for an internship? Staff in the Hub there to help you. So, grab your favorite drink at Starbucks and settle in for some time with your academic coach who will help you stay on track and make the most of your Illinois College experience.

Living on campus will add an exciting dimension to your overall Illinois College experience. We offer a variety of residence halls to choose from, each with its own style and amenities. All the residence halls are air conditioned and include all the furniture students will need while living on campus. They also include kitchen areas, which allows student to show off their culinary talents, study lounges, break rooms and FREE laundry facilities.

Right next to Turner Hall the seal of the College sits in the middle of *Steuer walkway*. When you tour campus in person you'll want to walk around the seal because tradition has it that walking across the seal means it will take an extra year to graduate. That may or may not be true but either way, our Finish in 4 program guarantees you will graduate in four years or we will cover the cost of your remaining courses.
Pixley Hall

Every fall, incoming students are nervous about living with someone they have never met and every spring students tell us how much they are going to miss their new friends when they go home for the summer! Living in a residence hall like Pixley is a fun part of making lifelong friends and having a lot of fun.
Ellis Hall

Like other residence halls, Ellis has RAs that act both as mentors and activity directors so that you'll have a safe and fun living experience. You also have a built-in go-to person who can answer all your questions and introduce you to campus life. IC is a small campus that means living in Ellis or one of our other residence halls puts you no more than a 5 minute walk to class. And trust me, no matter what time your first class starts, you'll be glad you can hit snooze rather than having to stand in line and wait for a bus to take you across an enormous campus.
Mundinger Hall

On any given day, you'll run into to students at a downtown coffee shop, playing frisbee on the quad, grabbing discount movie tickets or making a midnight run to Walmart. Living in *Mundinger Hall* or one of the other residence halls means you're in the heart of Jacksonville with easy access wherever you want to go.
