This space is where all the networking magic happens and includes a student lounge, conference rooms for our student clubs and organizations, a career services center and photos of our Zarb School Dean’s Advisory Board members. Our Advisory Board contributes to the school’s programs through student learning, engagement, and support, working closely with faculty and administrators. They speak as guest lecturers, host alumni events and student groups, and provide opportunities for students to work on organizational research projects, to aid in student learning. They engage and support students by offering internships and co-op opportunities, by providing organizational issues for in-class projects, by serving as judges for student competitions, and by helping with fundraising efforts.

The Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room is a state-of-the-art facility with 34 Bloomberg Terminals making it one of the largest university based trading rooms in the world! What you learn in the trading room translates directly to the real world as you get to use the same tools as financial analysts on Wall Street …prospective employers will love that! Here, you can participate in our student managed investment fund and invest real money in real time. This space develops your communication and problem-solving skills and provides a bridge from the classroom to Wall Street.

The Center provides innovative, hands-on educational opportunities using artificial intelligence based tools on a cybersecurity learning platform that is of the highest standard in the industry. This unique lab provides an incredible opportunity for students to learn to detect and defend against cybercrime and see how partnerships are created between industry, government, and education to analyze threats, strengthen network security, and mitigate the economic impact of cybercrime. Most schools just provide the software, but at Hofstra, our physical space and war room provides you with real experience that will prepare you to excel in this growing field.

The collaborative learning space in Zarb is outfitted with T1V ThinkHub interactive boards paired with webinar software and Zarb is one of the few business schools in the U.S. to have this technology. Faculty use this technology to live stream their in-person class inviting industry leaders into the discussion and to also collaborate with remote students across the globe. HD digital displays and high quality microphones allow for seamless class participation for everything from group projects to presentations. At Zarb, we use technology to benefit the learning experience inside and outside the classroom.

Here at the Behavioral Lab, our students conduct sophisticated, multidisciplinary behavioral research. There are plenty of opportunities to gain real-world experience! Our students recently conducted eye-tracking research to study logo branding with the Madison Square Garden Company, a global leader in entertainment, sports, and live experiences with a portfolio of iconic venues. Students get to learn with cutting-edge technology such as facial analysis, eye tracking, and voice analysis- all tools that real companies use in conducting market research!
