The central building of the Morris Family Center for Law & Liberty is modeled after one of our nation’s most iconic buildings – Independence Hall in Philadelphia. The mission of the Center is to promote among our students and fellow Texans an appreciation and understanding of our nation’s history and founding principles. The heart of Independence Hall is the famous Assembly Room where the Declaration of Independence was signed and our Constitution was forged. HCU students taking classes in History and Political Science can sit in the chairs where our nation’s founders sat to learn about the principles of our constitutional system of government.

Founders Hall is the newest classroom building on campus. A variety of courses are taught in the building, but its proximity to the Morris Family Center for Law & Liberty make it a natural site for classes in History, Political Science, and Legal Studies. It is three stories tall with several classrooms, each equipped with the latest in teaching technology. There is also a quiet study lounge on the third floor with a great view and natural lighting – just perfect for small study groups, reading, and relaxing.

The Brown Administrative Complex surrounds the Bettis Quadrangle, adorned with 10 Pillars by Michael R. Collins, HCU's senior director of Art Programs. Tranquil fountains honor Dr. Don and Elsa Jean Looser, a gift from their son Greg Looser. Plaques recognize scholarship namesakes and founders, bridging the past and present. Brown is home to HCU's HUB, housing the Academic Records Office, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, International Admissions and Veteran Student Services.
MD Anderson Student Center

The MD Anderson Student Center is a 2-story hub for students to gather and study. Downstairs, Husky Central Admissions welcomes prospective HCU students. Nearby, find Chick-fil-A and à-la-carte options. Upstairs, the Collegium caters to college commuters. The University Post Office and Bookstore serve the campus. Across from the Collegium is the Student Life Office, offering personal and spiritual growth through clubs, Convocation, and more.
Holcombe Mall and Heritage Walkway

Outside of the Brown Complex is the sprawling Holcombe Mall, named after iconic Houston mayor, Oscar F. Holcombe. The lawn is a space for recreational events such as the annual upperclassmen versus freshmen tug-of-war. With its soaring magnolias and well-kept grounds, HCU is often featured on "most beautiful university" lists. The Heritage Walkway showcases the names of University benefactors, alumni, and faculty and staff members who've made an indelible mark on HCU.
Hinton Center

The Hinton Center, dedicated in 1997 and named after Dr. William Harwood Hinton, our founding president, is a three-story building housing the Archie W. Dunham College of Business and the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Inside, you'll find modern lecture halls, Graduate Admissions, study areas, and a POD station for food and drinks. The Robert Griswold Finance and Analytics Lab is a recent addition with a stock market ticker racing around its perimeter. And for aspiring entrepreneurs, the Lighthouse Lab offers maker and technology resources.
Atwood I and Atwood II

Atwood I houses the School of Christian Thought and the HCU Honors College. Atwood II is the proud home of the University's College of Science and Engineering. What's really exciting is the S.A.F.E Lab, short for Securing America's Future through Engineering. This innovative space lets students in Cyber Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering programs apply their skills hands-on.
Joella and Stewart Morris Cultural Arts Center

Dedicated in 2007, the Joella and Stewart Morris Cultural Arts Center enables students, faculty, staff, alumni and the greater Houston community to experience faith-based programming in an exceptional space. The Morris Cultural Arts Center is also the home of the Dunham Bible Museum which includes an impressive collection of ancient and early Bibles from around the world. It features exhibits on some of the influential translators and carriers of the faith. The Museum of American Architecture and Decorative Arts and the Museum of Southern History contain artifacts and replicas of our state, region and country.
Husky Stadium

Husky Stadium is home to the HCU football team. Dunham Field, named for Archie and Linda Dunham, is the centerpiece. The 5,000-seat stadium opened in 2014. HCU offers 17 NCAA Division I sports where athletes compete at the highest level. It is home to the men's and women's soccer teams. The natural grass field also features a practice field behind the stands. The HCU baseball and softball fields are the venues for home games and practices. A sand volleyball court serves the women's beach volleyball team.

HCU's on-campus residences make acclimating to college life easy. They put students together in one place, making it easy to form new friendships, get involved in different events and organizations, and take part in study groups. Freshman Village is comprised of the Phillip's Men's and Women's Residence Colleges and the Mest Wing for women.The residence includes a lounge area, study spaces, internet services and a community kitchen. The Baugh Center serves as the main campus dining area on-campus, offering fresh, healthy and diverse options for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Sadie and Doug Hodo Residence College

At HCU, we realize that not all students want the same thing when it comes to housing, so we offer a variety of different options, from residence colleges to student apartments to living-learning communities. Hodo Residence College is named for Dr. Hodo, HCU president emeritus, and his wife, and was dedicated in 2013. The modern space contains apartment-style housing with common areas and a beautiful, in-dorm worship venue, Hatton Chapel. A study-group space allows for learning together.
Husky Village

Husky Village is an on-campus apartment community for upperclassmen and graduate students. Each unit includes traditional residential offerings and WiFi. A Husky POD station sells food and drink items for all students on campus. A pool with a seating area provides a recreational option for residents.
Moody Library and Looper Learning Commons

The Moody Library, named for the Moody family, offers many resources for students as they study, learn and write. TexShare allows students to check out materials from other libraries throughout the state. The Moody Library is also home to The Doris and Terry Looper Learning Commons which provides space and resources for student learning and collaboration. It is also the hub for student success. The Academic Success Center, TRIO Student Support Services, and First-Year Success, are all located here. It is also home to Java City, the University's coffee shop.
Cullen Nursing and Science Center

The Cullen Science Center plays a critical role in the success of our science and pre-med graduates. Similarly, at Cullen Science II, nursing majors train in the Mary Ann Belin School of Nursing & Allied Health Simulation Lab by using computer-assisted instructional and simulation technologies.
Sharp Gymnasium

Sharp Gymnasium, named in honor of Frank Sharp, is home to our Men's and Women's Husky basketball and women's volleyball teams. University Academic Center

The University Academic Center houses the School of Arts and Humanities. It is home to artist studios for undergraduate and graduate students. A Contemporary Art Gallery displays modern works, and a Fine Arts Museum displays masterworks, including "Saint John the Baptist in the Wilderness" by Sir Anthony van Dyck.

The Bradshaw Fitness Center is HCU's 80,000-square-foot expansive workout facility. Free to all HCU students, the center includes strength apparatus, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, classrooms, a basketball court, an indoor track, a rock wall, a lap pool, a therapy pool, whirlpool, steam room and sauna. In addition to the Center's individual and group exercise outlets, the University offers Intramural Sports, Club Sports, and Epic off-campus Adventures.
