Gunstock is county owned and operated since 1937, with a rich history in outdoor sports and recreation. The resort also boasts some of the best views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the White Mountain and Ossipee Mountain ranges. Congratulations on making the decision to explore snow sports. While the idea of skiing or snowboarding down a mountain can be intimidating at first, it also enriches the lives of those who do it and brings an excitement and closeness to nature that make it rewarding. Before we get started, let me explain the many ways in which you can explore our mountain: - You can jump to the next stop by clicking on the "Next" button - Now, if you already know where you want to go, you can select any location by using the list or by clicking directly on the map - Lastly, remember that you can explore any particular location in more detail by clicking on the 360, Photos, or Video icons

Our Main Parking Lot, while large, can fill up quickly on a busy day, but not to worry; we have two other parking lots with complimentary day and night shuttle service to bring you and your equipment to and from the Welcome Center. Make sure you have all the outdoor gear you need –If you're missing something, Mountainside Outfitters offers everything you could possibly need.

Welcome to the mountain! Here at the Welcome Center, you can choose which lift ticket is right for you, and determine which type of lesson best fits your needs. Our friendly staff is a wealth of information on everything from how to fill out your waiver, to the weather and what trails are open. We do recommend purchasing lift tickets and lessons in advance online. Not only does it beat the crowds, but it also helps you get through your check-in process more quickly, and there are usually discounts available through Gunstock's website.

Here at the Rental Department, our gear and fitting experts will help get you fitted comfortably for boots and help you select the correct length of skis or snowboard. All you have to do is fill out basic information about your height, weight, shoe size, and skill level. If this is your first time, our crew will be happy to show you how to adjust, operate and carry your equipment.

We are now at the Learning Center. Here, you'll be paired with an experienced and knowledgeable instructor who can't wait to share their passion for snowsports with you and start you on a path to successful learning! Our Learn To program features one of New Hampshire's first Movement Based Learning Areas, which helps new skiers and riders gain control over their movements from the beginning. These movement patterns are fundamental for confidence and skill development as you progress. Our instructors will familiarize you with a variety of terrain features and how to navigate them by gliding on your gear.

Welcome to Base Camp Children's Center! Their specialty is teaching children ages 3-13 to ski and snowboard in a safe and fun environment and they pride themselves in the development of skills through games and practice. Base Camp staff will help you sign your child up for full day or half day lessons. You may also rent skis, snowboards, boots, and helmets; there is a tech area with certified technicians right in Base Camp for your child's needs! If your child is under three, there is also a Daycare with fun and creative indoor and outdoor activities.

We have reached the Magic Carpet! This is essentially a conveyer belt that carries skiers and riders to the top of the Movement Based Learning Area. This helps new learners get more practice runs in to further their progress and also prepares beginners to load and unload on the chair lift once they're ready.

If you're a beginner and ready to try a little more of a slope, the Penny Pitou Chair Lift is the place to be! This lift leads primarily to Green Circle terrain, which is ideal for Novice skiers and riders. Lift attendants and instructors will be happy to guide you safely through the loading process and get you well on your way! When it is your turn to load the lift, you will stand on the Red "Wait Here" Line. After the chair in front of you passes, you may advance toward the Loading Area where you will stop, look behind you, and sit on the chair. Don't forget to lower the Safety Bar!

The Top of the Penny Pitou Chair Lift is where we learn to unload. Before you unload, be sure to check for loose clothing or equipment. A tower sign will tell you when to lift the safety bar. As you prepare to unload, keep the tips of your skis or snowboard raised. When the lift reaches the unloading zone, you may stand up using the chair for support. Beginning trails featuring more gentle slopes are on the left side. Beginning and Intermediate trails with slightly increased pitch will be on the right side.

Here we are at the Panorama Chair Lift. This high-speed quad leads to the summit of Gunstock Mountain, as well as both Blue Square and Black Diamond terrain, which is intended for Intermediate and Advanced skiers and riders. This lift also leads to the top of the Zip Line and is used for Scenic Lift Rides during the Summer and Fall seasons.

We are now at the Top of the Panorama Lift and Gunstock Mountain's Summit! There are Blue Square and Black Diamond trails on both sides of this chair lift. The Safety Services building is directly across from the chairlift. The Panorama Pub overlooks the resort and provides a great stop for snacks, beverages, and fantastic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee and White Mountain Ranges.

We have arrived at the Stockade Lodge. This centrally located spot provides indoor and outdoor seating, bathrooms, Trail View Deli and Pizzeria, and equipment storage. The Panorama, Ramrod, Tiger, and Penny Pitou Chair Lifts are visible from the dining facility, as well as the Movement Based Learning Area. Trail View Deli and Pizzeria offers artisan sandwiches, hand-tossed pizza, hot sides and soups.

Here at the Main Lodge, there are many facilities available, and plenty of space to relax. Bathrooms and complimentary Bag Check are located on the first floor. Food and beverage are served on the second and third floors. Cobble Mountain Food Court, located on the second floor, offers fresh breakfast and lunch items and features daily sandwich and soup specials. The Powder Keg, also located on the second floor, is a full-service family restaurant with a full bar serving lunch and dinner daily. The Pistol Pub, located on the third floor, features an apres ski bar atmosphere with weekly entertainment and the best burgers on the mountain.
