Welcome to George Mason University Korea (Mason Korea) in Songdo, South Korea! We are an international branch campus of George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia. Located near Washington, D.C., George Mason enrolls more than 39,000 students from 130 countries and all 50 states and is only one of about 115 top-ranked "R1" research universities in the US. Students who enroll at Mason Korea spend three years on our campus here in Songdo, and one year on Mason's campus near Washington DC. Our Korea campus is located on the Incheon Global Campus (IGC). Explore what it would be like to be a student on this campus, which you'll share with a Mason student body of 800 from more than 20 different countries! This is the Global Lounge. Located on the first floor of the Mason Korea building, the Global Lounge is a popular spot. You will find Mason Korea students relaxing, hanging out with friends in between classes, or studying together in small groups. Throughout the semester our committed academic advisors provide express advising sessions in the Global Lounge. Mason Korea students, faculty and staff gather in this lounge for some of our ceremonies and events, such as awards for academic achievement, graduation receptions, and guest speakers.

The fourth floor of the Mason Korea building is all about student life. Here you will find our University Life Office, Relaxation Zone, and the Student Lounge, in addition to offices for our student programs, such as Student Government which advocates the interests of our student body. The University Life Office is where you will find yourself stopping by for extracurricular activities and organizations, and all other student-life related activities when you become a student at Mason Korea! Our student-led Patriot Activities Council, which organizes activities for Mason Korea students, has their office in the Student Lounge. On weekdays, you will find students studying in this lounge in small groups or relaxing between classes. On weekends, students come to the lounge to watch movies or play video games together. The lounge is also home to events hosted by our Student Government or student organizations. Mason Korea students consider this lounge their home away from home. Across the Student Lounge is our Relaxation Zone, a quiet area for students to relax, take a quick nap, read a book, or study on their own. Here, you will find various bean bags and books for our students to enjoy during their free time.

The third floor is where our Career Development Center is located, which Mason Korea prides itself for being the very first to create among the IGC universities. Mason Korea students take advantage of its services through specialized and individualized mentoring, including help polishing resumes and cover letters, locating jobs and internships, and mapping out career paths. Heading up to the sixth floor, you will find our Academic Resource Center run by Mason Korea's very own student tutors to support students take full command of their academic experiences through tutoring and workshops in subjects such as English Writing & Communication, Accounting, and Mathematics. As a Mason Korea student, you will be able to enjoy solving problems with your tutors as you meet them either in person or online. Next to the Academic Resource Center is our Student Study Center, a study area for students to work on any assignments or projects that are due. This space is separated into areas where students can choose to quietly study on their own, sit together in a group, or use any of the computers located in the center. You will find many of our students here during midterms and finals week studying very hard for their tests!

Most of our academic classrooms are located on the second and third floors. These "smart" classrooms integrate state-of-the-art-technology for teaching and learning. Our Information Technology Services team provides support for students and for these classrooms. Though our classroom technology is state of the art, we know that effective teaching requires a strong and committed faculty. At Mason Korea you will enjoy individual attention from this faculty, with a 12-to-1 student to faculty ratio.

On the fifth floor are our two research centers, the Center for Security Policy Studies–Korea and the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia. The Center for Security Policy Studies–Korea is operated in partnership with George Mason's Schar School of Policy and Government, rated one of the best public policy schools in the US, to set a model for research collaboration and academic exchange with the main campus and create a policy exchange platform between Washington and Seoul. The Center for Security Policy Studies also holds joint events, such as annual symposiums, between the two campuses. Next, the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia aims to connect scholars, practitioners, and researchers from all around the world to advance the understanding of peace and conflict through multidisciplinary approaches emphasizing the uniqueness of Asia. Operated in partnership with George Mason's Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia focuses on research and policy analysis, education and training, and outreach and knowledge sharing in addition to holding international symposiums.

Now we are entering IGC campus facility. As a part of IGC campus, Mason Korea students can use and enjoy all IGC facilities. The Auditorium Theater with a capacity of about 2,000 seats is equipped with the most advanced facilities in order to hold large-scale performances and events. Mason Korea holds convocations and graduations in this main auditorium. Many of our students enjoy performances here sponsored by the City of Incheon.

This is IGC Gym. This facility is shared with four other universities on the IGC. Student teams represent their IGC universities in annual soccer and basketball tournaments. Students can also reserve the gym for their own sports competitions and events. Recently, the joint IGC campuses have held K-POP concerts, featuring well-known K-POP singers, and they invited our *Songdo, *Incheon neighbors to the event. This is the IGC Swimming Pool, the largest swimming pool in *Incheon. All IGC students can use the pool at a special discounted price. You can take private or group swimming lessons as well as other aquatic classes for your pleasure and well-being.

These are the IGC Residential Halls. At Mason Korea, we value living and learning as a community. Though we do not require living on campus for our students, we highly recommend that you do. There are two types of rooms in our residential halls, doubles and singles. Each floor is equipped with a kitchen, laundry room and work-out facilities.

This is the IGC Dinning Hall, the main dining hall for all IGC students. The dining hall offers traditional Korean cuisine, Western style cooking, vegetarian fare and a small cafe. The operating hours are from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. On the off hours, students can also enjoy coffee and Korean snacks like *ddukbok kki, *ramyeon, and of course Korean college students' all-time favorite, fried chicken. However, if you feel like venturing out for more options, fear not, we have nearby Triple Street Mall where you will find an amazing selection of food from all over the world!

This is the IGC Library, housed in the main IGC building. The first floor features a collection of newly released books and is designed for comfortable individual study and research. The second floor of the library holds the main research collection. On this floor, students can also reserve a quiet room for group studying and group work. There are different types of meeting and studying spaces for you! Just FYI, Mason Korea students have full access to online research resources from the Fairfax Campus, which include over 194,000 journals available electronically, and over 2 million electronic books.
