Welcome to Gannon University. Founded in 1925, Gannon is a Catholic, Diocesan university dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service. We're here on Gannon's first campus in Erie, Pennsylvania, and this is the Waldron Campus Center. The "heart" of campus, Waldron boasts views of our iconic landmarks like the statue of Jesus and the Students, the Gannon Arch and Old Main. Inside, you'll find lounges, three campus dining options, including a Chick-Fil-A, game area, computer center, meeting and study rooms, and the Yehl Alumni Ballroom event space. Beyer Hall

Beyer Hall is where you create your own possibilities through learning, leadership and engagement. This space co-locates Gannon's global and domestic students in an inclusive area that's central to campus, bringing them together to learn, join in campus life, and discover ways to engage the world. Beyer Hall is a hub for student engagement. Our students join on-campus activities through our many clubs and organizations as well as student-run events, movies, concerts and trips. In addition to the Mary Seat of Wisdom Chapel on campus, Beyer Hall offers a nondenominational prayer space to celebrate whatever your faith tradition might be.

The Beyer Cafeteria is an "all you care to eat" dining hall with a fun and friendly atmosphere. The food stations here have a wide variety of options to meet all dietary needs, as well as special menus with homestyle meals. Students especially enjoy Gannon's finals week tradition when they are served a free pancake breakfast here by faculty and staff. Gannon has a wide variety of dining options. Beyer Cafeteria is one of several unique food venues on campus where students can use their meal plans. Traveling off campus? No problem. Gannon partners with local and chain restaurants who offer specials and discounts to students using their Gannon ID.

North Hall and Finegan Hall Courtyard

We welcome you into our comfortable living spaces where you will feel at home. North Hall and Finegan Hall are two of several on-campus living options. Others include the Catholic House, one of our common interest housing spaces, and South Hall, our newest residence hall. North Hall, a suite-style community with two- to five-person suites, includes all modern amenities in addition to free laundry, indoor and outdoor recreational spaces, a meditation space, a community kitchen, a convenience store, and a variety of lounges intended for both social and quiet study time. The traditional college residence hall experience is yours at Finegan Hall, which offers two-person rooms. You'll be surrounded by great friends and great times wherever you live on campus. South Hall offers upper-level students four floors of varying single and multi-student suites all equipped with private bathrooms. Large common areas and community kitchens on each floor provide space for residents to gather, dine and study. Other conveniences include laundry facilities and private storage areas connected to a lounge on the lower level. On the fourth-floor, students can bring the outside in and catch the morning sunrise with four functional garage doors facing south to overlook Gannon's I-HACK.

Recreation and Wellness Center

Taking up nearly a city block, the Recreation and Wellness Center houses an 80-yard indoor fieldhouse, running track, regulation sized swimming pool, multi-purpose courts, Human Performance Laboratory, wellness café, and an array of exercise equipment to help you stay active in a fun and healthy atmosphere. The Center offers both fall and spring intramural sports, sport clubs, and personal training and group fitness classes designed to meet your athletic interests. Our NCAA athletic programs are another way for competing student-athletes and fans alike to get involved and have fun. You'll find students gathering in the stands of McConnell Family Stadium or the Highmark Events Center to rally for our Golden Knights.

When you visit campus, your first stop will be at the Office of Admissions in Gitnik Manse. This intersection crosses admissions, academics, campus life and the vibrancy of downtown Erie. When you walk along this active route, you will pass the Health and Counseling Center, Campus Police and Safety, and the Schuster Theatre which is home to many lively student performances. Continuing in all directions you will find city and campus life intermixed, several residence halls, and academic facilities like the Forensic Investigation Center, where students go from crime scene to courtroom as they practice finding evidence and solving crimes in a simulated environment.

Nash Library

The Nash Library and Student Learning Commons provides resources, services, facilities and programs to foster learning and academic success. Nash has amenities that make it the ideal spot to study and socialize. It boasts numerous collaborative and individual study rooms to meet everyone's needs. Outdoor courtyards and a third-floor silent study area overlook the city skyline and are the perfect spots to take in Erie's natural beauty. Students can grab a fresh drink or healthy bite to eat at a convenient coffee shop located on the main floor. In addition to its large literary collection, Nash Library offers academic support services and supplemental instruction in its Writing and Research Center and STEM Center to help students excel in class.

Old Main

Completed in 1893, the Strong Mansion, now known as "Old Main," was purchased in 1941 by Archbishop John Mark Gannon to serve as the center of the institution. Today, it's not only the historic monument that's known as one of the most photographed places on campus, it also houses the president's office, alumni association and administrative space. Old Main is directly adjacent to Perry Square, a downtown Erie hub often hosting festivals, outdoor concerts, parades, food trucks and more.

Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel

A rich part of Gannon's history includes the Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, located on Fourth and Peach streets. A church has been on the site since about 1860, although the current structure only dates to 1950. The church was acquired by Gannon in 1981 and a complete renovated was finished in 2021. Weekly masses are held here each Thursday, along with a number of special services.

AJ's Way

Considered the main path through campus, AJ's Way is an iconic brick walkway that connects Gannon's urban campus. Along AJ's Way you will see student activities, ample green space, picnic areas and a large mural depicting monumental symbols of Gannon's history. You will also pass academic buildings including the Zurn Science Center which is home to programs in the fields of science, computing and engineering and a wide variety of hands-on laboratories where students will study anything from the environment to marine life to chemistry and coding.

Center for Advanced Engineering

The Center for Advanced Engineering houses programs in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Industrial & Robotics Engineering. Here, students experience hands-on learning to solve biological, industrial, robotic and medical challenges to enhance the quality of life for today's society. Students learn alongside faculty experts using state-of-the-art equipment such as a variety of robots, 3D printers, motion-tracking systems and virtual and augmented reality. Laboratories include the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory, the Virtual Reality Laboratory, and the Industrial Engineering Laboratory.

Palumbo Academic Center

The A.J. Palumbo Academic Center houses the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences where students develop essential skills in logical reasoning, communication, and critical thinking. Many degrees are offered in the liberal arts fields, some of which offer accelerated programs where students earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in just five years. The building also houses several other divisions and features such as the Gannon Bookstore, a dedicated space for commuter students, Gannon's ROTC program and a student success center which provides support services, academic advising and career counseling for students.

Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge (I-HACK)

Keeping you on the forefront of innovation, the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge is a place where academics, business, and cyber intelligence meet. I-HACK is dedicated to students in the fields of cybersecurity, cyber engineering and several computing and engineering programs. Gain hands-on experience using state-of-the-art prototyping technology, cyber attack and defense labs, or using a collection of 3D printers and laser scanning equipment. Here, students are partnering with industry experts on real-world projects, research and contracted work to create solutions to better our future. Laboratories within I-HACK are specifically designed to teach students how to detect and utilize hacking techniques to build secure systems and prevent attacks. They provide space for students, faculty and businesses to come together on new ideas solving various industry challenges. The Center for Manufacturing Technology, Gannon's high-tech and versatile MakerSpace, is located on the building's sixth floor providing students and local industry access to cutting-edge fabrication and additive manufacturing equipment that use a variety of materials such as wood, metal and plastics. I-HACK elevates academic excellence and career training to produce the next generation of in-demand cyber professionals and transform the future of the industry.
