Petrocelli Hall

Franklin Pierce University is a small private liberal arts college, located in a scenic wooded area of Rindge, New Hampshire. This is Petrocelli Hall, a 23,000 square foot creative media lab located at the entrance of campus. The hall contains a number of classrooms, a computer lab, digital photo lab and darkroom, print labs, and offices, which represent FPU's hands-on and creative programming. Peterson Hall is a multi-purpose administrative building, situated on a historic plot of land. Formerly owned by a 19th century sea captain, the land carries with it a number of stories and rich historical tales passed down through generations. The hall now contains the Alumni Lounge, an Art Gallery, Office of the President, Academic Affairs, and College Relations.

Formerly named Pierce Hall, Spagnuolo Hall is a brand new Campus Center annex built to house community and cultural events. The enclosed auditorium can seat up to 250 people, and offers direct passageways to the bustling Campus Center. This hub of activities features a number of student and community-run events, and helps add energy and depth to the already active campus.

FPU's library collection was started in 1964, and has expanded immensely over the years, offering students a great support system for their academic ventures. The university's intention was to make the library as inviting and comfortable as possible, with the thought of making it a cozy place where students could hole up during the cold winter months.

Marcucella Hall was built in 1971 to serve as a new science center for FPU. The beautiful 31,500 square foot building was awarded the New Jersey Society of Architects commendation. Marcucella Hall contains 14 laboratories, 12 offices, and 13 classrooms for the university's growing department.

he FPU Residence Halls are divided by class levels, with the goal of fostering a sense of community amongst peers, as well as allowing students to connect their classroom experiences to their home lives. First Year students reside in Granite, New Hampshire, and Mount Washington Halls, Sophomores in Cheshire Suites, Edgewood, Granite Suites, and Monadnock Halls, Juniors in Mountain View and Northwoods Apartments, and Seniors in Lakeview Efficiency Apartments and Townhouses, and Sawmills Apartments.

Built in 1998, Cheshire Hall provides housing to sophomore level students. This three story building measures in at 34,000 square feet and is arranged in a suite-style format, which fosters a close-knit residential atmosphere. Each suite offers a community bathroom, kitchen, and living room, and all residents have access to cable TV, and a laundry facility.

The Mountainview/Northwood Apartments offer housing for junior year students. Each enclosed apartment features two double bedrooms, a private bathroom and full kitchen. Students love the complex's proximity to the North Field's Activity Center, which is nicknamed 'ÄúThe Bubble,'Äù and contains a fitness center, tennis courts, a turf field, two-lane track, and basketball courts.

Built in 1967, the Fieldhouse has served as FPU's physical education and recreation building for many years. The building has since undergone a number of renovations and expansions, and remains as the university's primary indoor venue. The Fieldhouse is home to FPU's basketball and volleyball programs, and contains artifacts from the Athletics Hall of Fame, as well as a number of offices from the Athletics Department.

The Lakeside Education Center is a multi-purpose learning and meeting facility located just beside the FPU's beloved boat house. The building offers beautiful views of the waterfront which is especially lovely during the warm season. The campus Adventure Recreation program even offers supervised canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and water polo during temperate months.
