Dr. Marcene H. and Robert E. Christoverson Humanities Building

The Marcene H. and Robert E. Christoverson Humanities building is an important destination for all FSC students and faculty. The 25,000-square-foot building is home to English and Modern Languages classrooms, as well as faculty offices, computer labs, a student lounge, and more. The building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern, an award-winning architect and dean of Yale School of Architecture. The building's bold roof is probably the first feature that will catch your eye.

The Ruth Parke Mary and Snow Martin Fine Arts Garden

Part of FSC's ongoing beautification, The Ruth Parke Mary and Snow Martin Fine Arts Garden is one of many memorial gardens on campus. This particular garden adds an impressive walkup to the Robert A. Davis Performing Arts Center.

Annie Pfeiffer Chapel

One of the most stunning structures on the FSC campus is the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel, where service is held weekly. The building is one of a dozen on campus designed by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, and it was constructed primarily using student labor. Natural light pours in liberally through the multicolored glass skylights, a perfect demonstration of how the campus earned Wright's nickname of "Child of the Sun." In addition to weekly service, the chapel hosts special events, weddings, and receptions.

Roux Library

The E.T. Roux Library houses meeting rooms, lounging areas, group study areas and five private study rooms, seating approximately 450 in total. This extraordinary space was designed with a circular reading room, in keeping with one of Frank Lloyd Wright's campus themes. Here students and faculty have access to computers terminals, as well as the library's extensive collection and archives. The Roux Library also houses TUTU's CyberCafe, which offers sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks, and a variety of bakery items. The CyberCafe is a great place to sit and take in the famous Frank Lloyd Wright Water Dome.

Centennial Plaza & Garden of the Presidents

Welcome to Centennial Plaza & Garden of the Presidents, located in the heart of campus. The Plaza features Pearce Centennial Tower, which is surrounded by the Presidential Garden. The tower was a gift from Florida Southern College's Alumni Association to celebrate the college's 100 year anniversary in 1985. The garden is one of several on campus, featuring Florida-friendly flora such as palm trees, oaks, shade plants, and rose bushes to name just a few.

Mishalanie-Layton Garden Plaza

Mishalanie-Layton Garden Plaza provides a beautiful courtyard-like area for residents of Joseph-Reynolds and Allan Spivey Halls – both centrally-located freshman residences. Here students from all corners of campus can sit and enjoy some shade and the serenity of the plaza's fountain.

L. N. Pipkin Bandshell

The L.N. Pipkin Bandshell is where students come together to enjoy performances by professional and student musicians, singers, comedians, and other special events throughout the year. The Bandshell is also where Freshman Orientation takes place, and where several student-led bodies including Greek chapters, the Students Government Association and Students Involvement Office are based.

Hollis Overlook Garden

Located between Barnett Residential Life Center and Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center, with views of Hollingsworth Lake, Hollis Overlook Garden is Florida Southern College's first fully sustainable garden. The garden features plant life native to the state of Florida, as well as strictly recycled materials. The garden also centers around a marble sculpture titled "Spirit."

You may have heard, intramural sports such as flag football and bowling are big at FSC. Fitness and recreation are an important element of campus life in general, and the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center is where much of the action takes place. The bright, fully equipped center looks out onto scenic Lake Hollingsworth. The center boasts a fitness room with a wide array of equipment as well as personal training and group exercise classes. Students can also take advantage of the center's Rec Room and 8-lane pool, open year-round. Bikes are available for rent for students who want to ride around the lake or get around campus. The Wellness Center is also where students prepare for excursions beyond campus.

Wesley & Nicholas Hall

Some college dorms feel like an architectural afterthought, but not at Florida Southern College. Wesley Hall and Nicholas Hall – residences for upperclassmen – are two examples of the exceptional vision of architect, Robert A.M. Stern. The colorful four-floor buildings are located just off of Lake Hollingsworth Drive at the south end of campus. They feature lake views, large kitchens with granite countertops, and four student lounges.
