The School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS) is one of three health professional schools at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). The school was established in recognition of the need to provide access to quality education in a group of rapidly growing health professions. The school is divided into five divisions: Cardiopulmonary Science, Health Care Management, Health Informatics and Information Management, Occupational Therapy (which offers a Health Science-Occupation and Wellness Concentration) and Physical Therapy (which offers a Health Science-Pre-Physical Therapy Concentration). Overall, FAMU ranks as the number one producer of African-American allied health professionals in the State of Florida.

A short walk from the stadium, you will find yourself at the Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center Teaching Gym. The state-of-the-art facility is most known for FAMU commencement ceremonies and convocations. The Lawson Center is also home to conferences, concerts, step shows, and comedy shows, as well as FAMU Rattler basketball and volleyball. FAMU has more than 100-active student clubs and student organizations, including fraternities, sororities, hometown clubs, volunteer groups, and various other student life services. The newly renovated FAMU Commons is a place where innovative technology and student-friendly casual dining meet. Samuel H. Coleman Memorial Library

Now back at the center of it all is a key spot for research, studying and even Starbucks. The Samuel H. Coleman Memorial Library is the University's main library that overlooks the Quad. It is one of five (5) libraries campus-wide. Other library locations include the Architecture Library, The Journalism Library, The Science Research Center Library and the award-winning College of Law's School Library in beautiful Orlando, Florida.

FAMU Way is the new east-west roadway that welcomes the community and visitors to our beautiful campus. It also provides access to a multi-use trail, playground, bicycle/pedestrian walkways, a community gathering spot called "Under the Over," and many other amenities. FAMU Way plays an important role in FAMU's rich history. In its early years, as a tradition, new students would make the FAMU Way area their first stop after arriving to the city by train. The area also once housed some of the city's most historic neighborhoods and community gardens.

The FAMU College of Law is located in the heart of Downtown Orlando, just steps from the George C. Young United States Courthouse and Federal Building; and blocks from governmental offices, major law firms, large corporations and legal service agencies. The college's prime location provides students with direct access to the area's largest employers of individuals with law degrees, offering our students and graduates ample avenues to gain practical experience in the legal profession. With tuition among the lowest of the 13 law schools in Florida, along with a full-time day program and a part-time evening program, the college is distinctly positioned to offer the traditional student and the working professional a chance to earn a law degree while accruing minimal debt.
