Right next to the Campus Common, you've got the Burton D. Morgan Center.

Upstairs, you'll find the folks who help you explore studying abroad, so you can travel and learn in exciting places.

And here's the Knowlton Center for Career Exploration – where you get the lowdown on preparing for life after graduation. They've got specialized career coaches who help with internships, networking, and developing workplace skills that employers want.

Curious about what students do to prep for life after college? Look into Denison's Red Frame Lab for entrepreneurship and consulting, and the Lisska Center for intellectual engagement. By the way, Denison is a Fulbright Top Producing Institution – pretty impressive, right?

Academic Quad

Denison's campus is set-up like a compass, and right at the heart of it is Academic Quad. A-Quad's where you'll hang with your roomies, soak up the sun, or chat with professors.

But it's not just a chill spot – A-Quad's where the academic magic happens. You've got classrooms, the library, and academic centers like the Academic Resource Center and Writing Center. Plus, the First-Year Experience Office is there to kickstart your college adventure.

And the fun doesn't stop there – A-Quad is also home to Slayter, our student union. It's your one-stop shop for snacks, caffeine, mail, and books. You'll even find awesome study nooks and event spaces.

Chapel Walk

The picturesque red brick road through campus is called chapel walk. Not only is it one of the most photographed spaces on campus, it's campus's busiest walkway — connecting our residential East and West Quads and running through Academic Quad. While we are on the note of connecting our campus, let's take a moment to talk about Denison's campus community. 2,400 students call Denison home. They come from all across the country and all around the world. We're a global campus, and our diverse student body makes Denison feel even bigger — with so many backgrounds, experiences, hometowns, and stories in one place.

Swasey Chapel

Welcome to Swasey Chapel, our most iconic insta-fodder here on The Hill. Everyone, from students to alumni, gets those warm and fuzzy vibes when they return and see Swasey Chapel waiting for them.

Fun fact: Denison started as a Baptist seminary, but now we're not religiously affiliated. Swasey Chapel has a modern gig hosting awesome gatherings, from academic convocations to inspiring speakers and energetic arts performances.

Plus, our comedy fans know that Steve Carell, yeah, the legend, kicked off his comedy career in our improv group, The Burpees. It's the student performance groups that light up the place, and our community never misses a chance to come together.

The Hoaglin Wellness Center

At Denison, students cultivate lifelong healthy habits and skills. Here, the Hoaglin Wellness Center pros deliver top-notch care and educational resources, helping you take charge of your long-term wellness journey. But that's not all – you can dive into engaging workshops, mindfulness practices, and fitness classes.

And guess what? We've teamed up with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to level up our wellness game. Their expertise and unique understanding of our college community make them the perfect partner for enhancing our campus health services.

While we are here, across chapel walk you can peep our Center for Religious and Spiritual Life that supports various faith groups and promotes cross-cultural learning.

East Quad

Denison students live on campus all four year, and we have residential spaces on the four quads surrounding the academic quad. We've got those classic double rooms with shared bath, but you'll also find suite-style rooms for 4-6 people with a private bathroom. And seniors usually snag apartments – we'll show you those options on the West Quad and Senior Quad stops.

Right now, we're on East Quad — the place to be. Perfect for doing homework on a picnic blanket, setting up hammocks, or tossing a football. At night, hit up the student-run, Bandersnatch coffeehouse, famous for something called a snagel! Plus, it's where you'll find board games and open mic nights.

Mitchell Athletic Center

Welcome to Denison's sports haven, right down the north side of The Hill. Inside the Mitchell Athletic Center, you'll find a 200-meter indoor track, tennis and squash courts, an Olympic-sized pool, gyms, and more.

Denison has a winning tradition, leading the North Coast Athletic Conference with All-Sports Trophies and clinching over 150 conference titles, our student-athletes rock the field and lead in the classroom.

With 26 varsity sports, numerous club and intramural options, free fitness classes, the Crown Fitness center, and top-notch classrooms for our Health Exercise and Sports Studies department, there's always action here. Plus, for that post-workout boost, hit up the smoothie bar on the first floor.

Athletics Fields & Beyond

Check out Deeds Field-Piper Stadium, where the Denison sports action comes alive for football, field hockey, and outdoor track and field. And we keep leveling up our athletic facilities, like our new Kienzle-Hylbert lacrosse and soccer stadium. Additional green space in this area is used for intramural and club sports.

While were chatting outdoor space, check out the BioReserve, a massive 360-acre oasis perfect for hiking and outdoor biology classes. Plus, it's home to Ohio's first solar array pollinator habitat with over a million pollinator-friendly plants. We're all about sustainability. We've got nine solar arrays and counting, providing 15% of our energy from solar power, and reducing our carbon footprint by 10%.

North Quad

Welcome to North Quad! You've got fast access to the Mitchell Athletic Center and the sports fields. And the views? Unbeatable, especially overlooking the football field.

North Quad is where you'll find our fraternity houses— our sororities are down the hill on South Quad. And, here's the scoop: our fraternity and sorority organizations are multi-cultural, multi-faceted and multi-talented, but are not residential. These houses simply are where students come together for social events and meetings. Around 35% of Denison students dive into Greek life, finding their squad on campus and tapping into alumni networks post-grad.

Silverstein Quad

Check out Senior Quad - home to our senior apartments — with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a cozy living area. You'll also find Slivy's here, a mini-grocery serving up quick bites.

Students gather on this quad to soak in the view, have a relaxing swing, and join in on all sorts of events. Denison students are social, and you'll find us hanging out in residential hall common areas and the outdoor quad spaces.

You'll also find us at the Moonies, just down the hill from the Senior Quad. This student-designed building hosts events, parties, and community gatherings, making it a popular spot for social life on The Hill.

West Quad

Here's west quad — where about two thirds of Denison's first year class call home.

We've got two traditional dining halls flanking A-Quad. Curtis on West Quad is our lunchtime hero, and Huffman, on the flip side of the Hill. They serve up great options that change every day, with a special station that for those with food allergies or special diets. And don't forget about the grab and go option in Slayter on A-Quad.

Plus, the staff? They're like family. So, whether you're craving a quick bite or a full-on feast, we've got your back.

Science Quad

Now, let's talk science. At the west end of A-Quad, you'll find our science quad with small classes, and impressive lab spaces filled with fancy equipment that's hard to pronounce, but seriously cool.

Ebaugh, for chemistry and biochemistry; Talbot, for biology; and Olin, home to physics, astronomy, computer science, math, and earth & environmental sciences.

Research is a big deal at Denison — and not just in our science programs. Our students do hands-on research, whether it's senior capstone projects or our Summer Scholars program — the ultimate playground for experimenting, pursuing passions, and diving deep into questions without the stress of grades. Get ready to ignite your curiosity!

South Quad

Check out this view! We are now looking south from the hill at the aptly named South Quad. South Quad is home to our arts facilites, sorority row, residentail buildings, and the President's house. This beautiful quad is also the home to many campus events throughout the year and community events in Granville over the summer.

Performing Arts @ Denison

This is the Michael D. Eisner Center for the Performing Arts, your backstage pass to all things theater, music, dance, and music theater. A creative hub, with classrooms, an awesome stage, recital spots, set, prop, and costume workshops, the Denison museum, and a cool recording studio. Eisner's facilities matches our performing arts students' incredible talent.

We've brought all the performing arts under one roof, making it a perfect place to collaborate and create mind-blowing shows. From writing scripts and directing, to crafting sets and running the lights on opening night – not to mention their sold-out performances – our students are the masterminds behind it all, from start to finish.

Visual Arts @ Denison

Welcome to the Bryant Arts Center, where Visual Arts and Art History students find their creative playground. It's not just a building; it's a canvas, buzzing with life from ceramics to printmaking. A gallery features the work of all students, and majors have a designated creative space.

Just east of Bryant, is the Cinema House, where you can dive into film history, theory, and production. Denison stands out as one of the few colleges with a standalone Cinema department. We're talking HD, 4K, and 6K cameras, plus the chance to shoot on 16mm and 35mm film. The Cinema House boasts a 50-seat screening room, quality production gear, and slick 5K Retina iMac workstations.

Granville

Our Home on The Hill finds its home in the charming Granvile. You've got cute shops, galleries, and local food joints, including one that serves the tastiest frozen custard ever. Granville even hosts a weekly farmers market.

Students love to stroll down The Hill for some good eats, a custard scoop, or to give neighborhood pups some love. Granville residents often swing by for our sports and arts events, and some even become our mentors and friends.

Don't miss Denison's Granville Inn and the Denison Golf Club – they're must-visit spots!

Columbus

Craving that big city vibe? Just 25 minutes from campus is Columbus, Ohio's bustling capital — the 14th largest city in the US! Our students dive into endless opportunities. There's great local music and an international airport with university shuttles. Plus museums and professional sports teams, including the Crew and Blue Jackets.

It is easy to hit the city with your friends, and explore the Columbus food scene and trendy shops.

And here's the kicker: our career center hooks you up with partnerships and internships at Columbus-based giants like JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide Children's Hospital, Battelle Institute, and Abbott Labs — to name a few.
