Welcome to Concordia University Irvine, a small private liberal arts university located in southern California. Situated on a plateau that overlooks Orange County, the campus and city of Irvine are loved by students all around. Like all ten Concordia University campuses across the country, CUI is affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, which is a confessional type of Lutheranism with approximately 2.3 million members. Enrollment is generally around 3,000 at CUI and students pursue both undergraduate and graduate degrees in one of six colleges.

Architecturally and functionally, the CU Center stands out from many other buildings on campus. The Center's round and dramatic shape contributes to its excellent acoustics, which are complemented by sophisticated light and sound systems, a Steinway concert piano, and even a Casavant Organ with 3,290 pipes. This is, no doubt, the center of Lutheran life on campus, with pew seating for 500 and services throughout the week.

Athletic teams at Concordia go by the name of the Eagles, and compete in the Golden State Athletic Conference. The Gym is home to both men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The Arena seats 2,400 spectators for games as well as other events on campus requiring such a large space, like the Wind Orchestra's Spring Concert. The Fitness Center is located on the bottom floor, featuring air-conditioned weight and cardio rooms, on-site supervisors, and even fitness classes like Pilates and yoga.

Grimm Hall is home to many important CUI offices including Admissions, the Bursar, Financial Aid, Instructional Technology, and the Registrar. The third floor rooms play host to a variety of events like lecture series, MBA Soirees, and the Orange County Reading Association's annual fall conference. If you are able to make it to Irvine, this is where the Welcome Center is and where campus tours begin.

Students frequent this building on a daily basis, dropping by for a meal in the "caf" or just to take a break with friends. Clubs and organizations like Cheer Squad, Lacrosse Club, and the Surf & Dive Club can use space here for meetings and events. On the lower level of the Student Union, you can find a health center as well as the Campus Pastor's office.

Founders Hall is one of the original buildings on campus, having been constructed in 1979, just a few years after CUI's founding. Today it is home to classrooms and labs for science departments like Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. Students rave about the small class sizes and the personal attention they receive from professors.

Here we are at the Administration Building, located at the northern end of the CUI campus. Like Grimm Hall, the Administration Building is home to some important offices including Accounting, Campus Safety & Security, the Dean of Student Affairs, and Lost & Found. Here you can also find information on the Nursing Program at Concordia, which has RN to BSN, LVN to RN, and Accelerated BSN options.

With the beach only six miles away and having the weather advantage of frequent southern California sunshine, CUI students can definitely spend a substantial amount of time outside. The Tennis Courts can be found between the residential area and the Student Union. There are two bleacher sections for when matches are played at "home," during the season that roughly runs from early February to mid-May.

Founders Bookstore is open five days a week and serves all your textbook needs, with your wallet in mind. There are textbook buyback weeks as well as seasonal sales, and in addition to buying used, students can also rent books! You can also purchase CU apparel to show your school pride, of which CU students have much.
