Welcome to California State University at San Bernardino, a public university in the 23-school California State University system. Located approximately sixty miles east of Los Angeles, CSUSB's 440-acre campus is home to more than 18,000 undergraduate and graduate students; they pursue degrees in one of six colleges, including the College of Arts and Letters, and the College of Natural Sciences. Cal State San Bernardino is known for its Fullerton Art Museum, diverse student body, as well as community outreach and service-oriented programs. Let's take a look at the campus!

As a student at CSUSB, you will probably frequent the Student Union at least once a day, for this is where many of the on-campus dining options are located, like Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and a market. The Student Union is also a hub for student activities, with more than 100 organizations to join and many exciting events on the calendar. Some of the most popular events include Taste of India, Acoustic Coffeehouse, gaming events in the Gamers Lounge, and dances.

Located in the center of campus and named after Cal State San Bernardino's first president, the Pfau Library was constructed in 1968, with a new wing added in 1994. The five-story facility is home to a large collection of print and media resources, a computer lab, a café, classrooms, and a myriad of study areas. The Pfau Library also runs several lecture series, one that occurs at lunch and another that features speakers on local history topics.

Constructed in 1991, University Hall houses the Career Development Center as well as the office of Undergraduate Studies, both of which assist students with meeting their educational and career goals. University Hall is also home to the Writing Center, a valuable resource for students in need of writing assistance; graduate students in the Master's of English Composition program serve as writing consultants.

The name "Coyote Bookstore" references the animal nickname given to Cal State, San Bernardino athletes. The bookstore is open six days a week to serve all your textbook needs, but additionally, it also sells computers, apparel, art supplies, and many items that express school pride. The Coyote Bookstore also offers access to digital textbooks when possible, which should cut down on your book expenses each semester.

Chaparral Hall was one of the three original buildings constructed at CSUSB, when it first welcomed students back in 1965. At that time, fewer than 300 students were enrolled at CSUSB and most classes were taught here. Continuous growth has since added many more academic buildings, but this one is still primarily used for classroom space.

The Administration building is home to several important offices, like Academic Affairs and Academic Resources, the latter of which is responsible for the annual Commencement ceremony. Also located here is the Office of Academic Research, which helps support both faculty and students in seeking research and scholarship opportunities.

Sierra Hall was one of the first buildings on campus and serves as an administrative building. Here you can find the offices of the Vice President, Human Resources, and the College of Extended Learning. The College of Extended Learning encourages prospective students of all ages to pursue academic goals. Offerings include intensive English language programs, professional development certificates in Business and Education, as well as many of the university's regular classes.

Students enrolled in Theatre Arts and Music courses utilize the Performing Arts facility on a near daily basis. Within these departments, students can focus on areas such as drama education, acting, musical theatre, puppetry, and music technology. Even if you aren't enrolled in theatre or music classes, you can attend one of the many performing arts events like a jazz concert, Noel Coward play, opera, or even a Broadway show.
