Mercy Hall houses our Walking Woman Welcome Center, home to CSM's Enrollment Services Team. Here you can meet one-on-one with an admissions counselor to learn about academic programs, scholarships and financial aid. Our admissions counselors are available to guide you through every step of the enrollment process. Next to the Welcome Center, the first floor of Mercy Hall also accommodates a comfortable lobby, the Presidents Dining Room, Susan B. Anthony Conference Room, and the Warde Conference Center. You can stop into the Campus Store to purchase your textbooks, stock up on apparel, or grab a snack. The second floor of Mercy Hall is home to our spacious Dining Hall.

CSM's modern Dining Hall is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner during the academic year. As a residential student, you'll receive a full meal plan that includes three meals on campus each day. No need to worry about missing a meal, classes aren't scheduled during the lunch hour. Lunch and dinner features all-you-can-eat hot entrees, pizza, Mongolian grill, sandwich bar, a soup and salad bar, a dessert bar, ice cream machine and many beverage options. For convenience, an enclosed Skywalk connects the dining room with Walsh Hall. The Dining Hall includes many sustainable features, including a kitchen pulverizer that composts food and paper, and green, reusable take out boxes.

Hixson-Lied Commons is a popular study and gathering spot for CSM students. The open area offers table seating, as well as couches and casual seating. A large television and fireplace provide a cozy getaway spot, or just a place to meet with friends. Christina's Place provides light breakfast and lunch options, as well as beverages and snacks. The Achievement Center, for tutoring and advising assistance, and the library are located here, as well as offices for Student Leadership & Organizations and Campus Ministry. The commons area is host to many student focused events throughout the year, like parties, career fairs and student fundraising events.

Christina's Place in Hixson-Lied Commons is named after Christina Hixson, one of CSM's many generous donors. It's a great place to use your meal plan flex dollars to grab a drink or snack, including Starbucks Coffee and specialty smoothies. At Tu Taco, snag a variety of street tacos, burritos or bowls for lunch and dinner that aren't available in the cafeteria.

We're now at the Achievement Center in Hixson-Lied Commons. Here, knowledgeable staff will connect you with the academic services you need to ensure your success at CSM. They'll help you every step of the way. The Achievement Center offers access to Smarthinking, an online tutoring service for writing, as well as free, on-campus tutors. Career Services will help you explore careers, identify jobs or internship opportunities, assist with resume writing, and prepare you for interviews. You can also access resources for single parents and meet with someone concerning ADA accommodations. In addition, you can stop in to use a computer, print papers, or sit and study, 24-hours a day!

The Student Organizations and Leadership Office is where you can come to get involved, join a club, be a leader, and have fun! Here, you can choose from more than 20 activities and organizations, ranging from the fine arts, environmental clubs, and professional organizations to service clubs, student government associations, and special interest groups for all walks of life. Or you can pursue your unique passion by creating your own club or cause. It's also the place to go to take the first steps in becoming a more confident leader through one of College of Saint Mary's inclusive leadership programs, like Leadership Leap.

College of Saint Mary's library is located in the Hixson-Lied Commons. The Library is a vital part of academic life and provides a wide range of newspapers, magazines, online databases, eBooks, and other resources. Here you can check out laptops, iPads or other electronics. A new computer hub offers 20 PCs for student use. You can print papers, and the first 100 pages are free. There are four private study rooms, two of which can be reserved for small groups. You can also check out popular fiction and movies. The Library is open every day, with extended hours during finals.

Walsh Hall dates back to 1955, and is the oldest building on College of Saint Mary's campus. It's named in honor of Sister Mary Constance Walsh, the first dean of the College. The ground floor houses the Health Professions, Information Center, Hillmer Art Gallery and art rooms. On the first floor you'll find the President's Office, Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Academic Affairs, Express Center, and Alumnae Relations, among others. The second floor houses several departments, four computer labs and a number of classrooms. Faculty offices are on floors three and four. Your professors' doors are always open.

The Occupational Therapy wing, located on the ground floor of Walsh Hall, offers several large Occupational Therapy labs and classrooms. Here, students practice how to move and transfer patients, make splints and conduct assessments. The Pediatric Lab includes therapy balls, a swing, games, and toys that provide students with enhanced therapy techniques. A fully furnished apartment is available for OT students to practice their skills in a home setting. It includes a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and laundry facilities. Practice in these technologically advanced OT labs, combined with integrated fieldwork, allows CSM to graduate the most clinically prepared occupational therapists in the region.

College of Saint Mary's multi-million dollar Health Professions Skills and Simulation Center is in the Nursing wing, located on the ground floor of Walsh Hall. This is where students put theory into practice, and hone their nursing skills before going into a clinical setting. A large state-of-the-art lab houses 18 medium-fidelity simulators that allow students to practice running IVs, give injections, and much more. There are two, adult high-fidelity simulators that provide medical, surgical and ICU experience. There is also a pediatric room, and a labor and delivery suite. All areas are equipped with recording software and have computers that run nursing programs most often seen in a medical setting.

The Physician Assistant Studies wing, located on the ground floor of Walsh Hall, is one of only a few physician assistant programs in Nebraska. College of Saint Mary's combined bachelor and master degree allows students to become a practicing physician assistant in just five years. There are six clinic rooms with three observation and debriefing rooms. All fully equipped exam rooms have computers for recording medical records. The large physician assistant lab includes 10 examination tables along with equipment for students to practice techniques and skills. Students learn how to scrub for surgical procedures, perfect their listening and palpation skills, cast, splint, suture, and perform examinations.

Education majors at College of Saint Mary are sought after by schools across the state and nation. And there's good reason. Here, students get hands-on, classroom experience, knowledge from education professionals, and LIVE field practice. CSM partner's with schools and local groups like Girls, Inc, so students can teach, lead and impact young lives long before graduation. They also gain experience and build relationships through student teaching opportunities in classrooms throughout the area. There are plenty of majors and endorsements to choose from, including early childhood education, K-12, secondary, and special education.

Hillmer Art Gallery is on the ground floor of Walsh Hall. It's renowned for showcasing the works of national artists like National Geographic photographer Fr. Don Doll, as well as local artists, alumnae, and students. The Gallery displays CSM's St. John's Bible, an illuminated Bible developed by the monks of St. John's Abbey, and the only set owned in Nebraska. One of the few hand-written bibles commissioned in the last 500 years, the Bible is written on vellum with 160 color illuminations. Other gallery exhibits feature paintings, drawings, sculpture, textiles, and photography. Admission is always free. The Gallery is also a popular study spot and perfect venue for special events.

We are standing at Hill Macaluso Hall. Here, you'll find the departments of Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physician Assistant Studies. This building is named after Sister Mary Mechtilde Hill, Ph.D., former professor and vice president of academic affairs, and Sister Mary Christelle Macaluso, Ph.D., former professor and chair of biology. There's a faculty-student research space, a green house, lecture classrooms, labs, and a 520 gallon aquarium. Gross Auditorium is located on the west end of the building where the music and drama departments perform. A little known fact, many CSM buildings are connected by underground tunnels, providing students a comfortable walk to class.

College of Saint Mary's science classrooms are the interactive home-bases for Physician Assistant, Kinesiology and STEM majors. These majors have access to cutting-edge labs including a live, full-scale greenhouse; a new 100-gallon aquaponics system where you can study fish and plants interacting in a closed-loop, natural, recirculating system; a touch-activated anatomage table featuring a seven-foot mobile digital cadaver with a scalpel tool for slicing, layering, and cross-sectioning tissue; and an 8-bed cadaver lab equipped with dual LED surgical lights. Students majoring in math, chemistry, and biology areas are eligible for Marie Curie scholarships, which award students up to $80,000 over four years!

Madonna Hall is home to CSM's nationally recognized, progressive Mothers Living & Learning residence. This award-winning MLL program is one of the only programs in the nation to provide an innovative living option for single mothers. It allows moms to live on campus with their children while working on their degree. Madonna offers suite-style living in a secure setting with 24-hour security. Each unit is shared by two students and features four bedrooms, private bathroom, refrigerator and sink. Each floor has a shared kitchen, dining area, laundry facility and large lounge that includes a TV and play area. The Spellman Child Development Center is also conveniently located on CSM's campus.

You are now standing at Lozier Hall, which houses more than 200 undergraduate students on four floors. Every student has a twin bed, desk and chair, a three-drawer dresser, shelves and a built-in individual closet. There is also a vanity and sink in every room. Residents are given an access card, allowing them to come and go as they please. A 24-hour security guard is also on campus, 365 days a year. Lozier has a community kitchen, game room, computer lab and study room. Staff coordinate programs to help residents connect and have fun.

In the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, students learn from a hybrid model with core faculty who are certified in online instruction. This learning approach offers you the opportunity to study from a location convenient to you and your life circumstances while attending onsite intensive program sessions through the year. Those sessions, which happen twice a semester, consist of hands-on experiences working on various techniques and one-on-one time with your professors. The sessions take place at the Lied Fitness Center Fieldhouse. You can earn your DPT degree in just two-and-a-half years.

The Aquatic Center is part of the Lied Fitness Center and home to the College of Saint Mary's Flames Swim Team, which competes in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. The "Class A," six-lane pool is 25 yards and stays at a toasty 79 degrees. Designated open and lap swim hours are offered with a lifeguard on duty throughout the week for student use. Aqua-aerobic classes also are offered.

The Lied Fitness Center Fieldhouse also provides opportunities for hands-on learning and research through its Human Performance Lab. Undergraduate and graduate students in the Kinesiology and Exercise Science program perform assessments as well as collect data for research. The brand new, synthetic turf Flames Soccer Field is where our College of Saint Mary soccer team plays all their home games. The new field features state-of-the-art design including cooling technology to improve performance, safety and sustainability. The field sits right next to another new building – the CSM Clubhouse – which houses equipment, locker rooms and concession space for the soccer and softball fields. We can't wait to see you at our next Flames Soccer game!

The CSM Softball complex is home to the Flames Softball Team. The facility was recently renovated to improve the overall look and function of the field so our athletes and spectators have one of the best game day experiences in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The field is just steps away from the new CSM Clubhouse, where the softball team has its own locker room and equipment storage. A concession stand and restrooms are also available to all spectators.

The Keystone Trail is a very popular walking and biking corridor, and runs between the University and Aksarben Village. The 27-mile trail meanders along the banks of Little Papillion Creek, and runs north to Democracy Park, at 88th & Fort streets. Heading south, it eventually connects with the Bellevue Loop Trail, which ends up in Hayworth Park on the Missouri River. This wide, paved trail is great whether you want a quick walk or a long bike ride. Don't have a bike? No worries. There's a bike-share station next to Hillmer Art Gallery. You can grab a bike and hop on the trail just east of Hill-Macaluso Hall.

Aksarben Village is an Omaha hotspot for entertainment and shopping. In just minutes you can bike or walk from campus to the area's unique shops, restaurants, move theater and Baxter Arena. Aksarben also offers many seasonal events, like Bike Night and the Farmers' Market. Stinson Park is a perfect green space to enjoy some fresh air, practice yoga or get fit with Zumba classes. You can catch great music with free Saturday night concerts, grab a latte at the coffee shop or a drink to go from the Juice Stop. Aksarben is a walkable and bike-friendly place for you to relax, shop and be part of Omaha's college scene.

The Flames Golf Team plays and practices at Tiburon Golf Course in Omaha. It's quite a venue. Tiburon Golf Club features 27 holes of pro-level golf and superior fairways and greens. With over 12 acres, the course includes lakes and natural wooded areas, and provides our golfers with both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. It's no wonder it's considered one of the best home courses in the Great Plains Athletic Conference!
