Welcome to the College of Southern Idaho (or CSI), a leading comprehensive community college located in the city of Twin Falls. Since 1965 CSI has provided students with career and transfer preparation, distinguished by its affordability and small class sizes. Join me now and explore just a few of the highlights of our bustling, 300-acre campus.

Taylor Admin and Student Union

The Taylor Administration Building and the adjacent Student Union are centers of student and staff activity. In addition to office and meeting spaces, this is where you'll find the campus Bookstore, the Taylor Café, and the Matrix – where students manage everything from admission, class registration and tuition payments to their financial aid, scholarships, grades and records. You can also stop by the Student Union to connect with campus organizations, hang out with friends at the Fireside Lounge or the Cafeteria, grab a deli sandwich or a coffee to go, or use one of the building's computers. The campus Chapel on the building's upper level offers students a quiet place to reflect and take a break from it all.

Fine Arts Center

The 66,200-square-foot Fine Arts Center is home to some of the community's premier performing arts programming. Inside are an auditorium, theater and recital hall that host world- class theater, dance, music and film events throughout the year. Students from various Fine Arts departments have many opportunities to perform at these venues, and all students can catch performances at reduced rates.

GRM Meyerhoeffer Building

The GRM Meyerhoeffer Building is home to CSI's Library, Testing and Academic Centers. Through the Library, students can access more than 72,000 on-site items and databases covering tens of millions of records. Open seven days a week for work, research and study, the Library features a computer lab, group and quiet study spaces and a copy center. The Library is also home to the Academic Development Center, helping students tackle GED testing and a full range of academic fundamentals including reading, writing, math and English as a Second Language, just to name a few. The Library is also open to the public.

Physical Education and Student Rec. Center

The Physical Education and Student Rec. Center is home to CSI's Basketball and Volleyball teams, as well as fitness facilities open to the entire college community. The Gym was one of the college's original campus structures, and has since been expanded and renovated to include administrative space, aerobics and weight rooms, and an indoor track. Here students can get involved with intramural leagues, fitness classes and student-led personal training. Membership is free for full-time students and available at reduced rates for part-time students.

CSI Tower

The CSI Tower, completed in 1967, serves as the focal point of campus at 107 feet above the ground. It's not only the tallest structure on campus, but also among the tallest structures in Twin Falls. The centrally-located Tower chimes hourly, plays carillon music, and illuminates at night.

Rose Garden

The Bob McManaman Memorial Rose Garden, located just north of the CSI Tower in the heart of campus, serves as the site of marriage proposals, weddings, discussions, and other outdoor campus events. The garden was named in honor of the college's first Physical Plant Director (the person responsible for maintaining and planning the future of campus facilities and grounds). CSI students are also active in the garden and have their own Horticulture Club.

Health Sciences and Human Services

The Health Science and Human Services building is a 72,000-square-foot, high tech facility. Students come here for instruction and hands-on training for a range of programs, from Surgical and Radiological Technology to Nursing, Dental Assisting, Paramedic Education, EMT and many more. The LEED Gold facility & the first in Southern Idaho to earn this certification & contains classroom, lab and lecture spaces, offices, computer workstations, and study areas.

Canyon Building

The Canyon Building is headquarters for several of CSI's skilled trade programs. In addition to lecture and instructional spaces, this multipurpose facility features a graphics lab, an auto body shop, and some of the finest drafting technology facilities in the nation. Students come here to prepare for careers in Automotive Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Refrigeration and many more.

Hepworth Building

The John C. Hepworth Higher Education Center houses a large number of classrooms and offices that serve CSI's Business & Economics, Education, Social Sciences, and Honors programs. One of Idaho's fastest-growing colleges, CSI has significantly enhanced its facilities throughout the years. The Hepworth Center bulked up to twice its original size after a renovation in 2000.

Shields Buiding

The Shields Building is home to several key CSI departments including English, Languages and Philosophy, Biology, and Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Science. Some of the building's features include science and computer labs, amphitheater-style classrooms and faculty offices. Shields is one of several buildings on campus that also boasts multiple energy efficient and environmentally-friendly features.
