Welcome to Citrus College, home of the Owls! Citrus is the oldest public community college in the county of Los Angeles, founded in 1915, and serves several neighborhoods from Azusa to Claremont. Citrus is known for its talented faculty and affordable programs. The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education recently ranked Citrus among top 50 community colleges in the nation. The Ross L. Handy Campus Center is a place for students to meet up and check out special events. Divided into an East and West Wing, the Center offers facilities for conferences, banquets and casual, day-to-day gatherings, accommodating up to 300 people. Overseeing all the Center's activities are the offices of Student Affairs and Student Life, also housed here.

Hayden Memorial Library is a two-floor building named for Citrus College founder, Floyd S. Hayden. The Library holds more than 45,000 print books, 25,000 digital books and tens of thousands of other reference materials. On the first floor you'll find the Art gallery displaying works by students and faculty; a computer lab; tables and study carrels, as well as study rooms. If you're in need of an ultra-focused study session, you can grab a window seat on the perimeter of the second floor. Also located on the second floor are media rooms, a computer commons and a large conference and reading room called the "Fishbowl."

If you need to manage your records, discuss class registration, pay your tuition or submit your financial aid forms, you'll want to come here, to the Student Services Building. The Building is also home to several centers including the Center for Teaching Excellence, the International Student Center and the Counseling & Advisement Center. You can also come here if you're feeling less-than -stellar and receive free medical services without having to leave campus.

The Quad provides a natural meeting space for the whole campus community. It's immediately accessible to the Library, the Stuffed Owl, the Campus Center and the Lecture Hall. Bring a book, your laptop or a snack, find a spot on a bench, and enjoy the fresh air and fountain.

This is the Art Center, headquarters for the Citrus Art Department. Inside, students build on their talents in the areas of graphic design, studio/fine art and art history. Student and faculty artists display their work throughout campus, and the Center also hosts an Annual Ceramics Sale, the proceeds of which go to the Citrus College Ceramics Club. Receptions and other events take place periodically on the Art Center Patio.

Here at the Educational Development Center (or ED), you'll find a number of resources to help you succeed at Citrus and beyond. Upstairs you'll find staff and support labs (including the Writing Café!) to help you out with the necessary skills to ace your class assignments. If you're formulating a plan for your future – whether it be transferring to a 4-year college or readying yourself for the job market – you can pay a visit to the Career Transfer Center on the lower level. The ED is also home to the ESL Lab, the Language Lab and the Testing Center.

The Owl Bookshop, adjacent to the Campus Center, carries all your classroom needs. Here you'll find textbooks, art supplies, organizers, hardware, software and more. The Bookshop runs monthly specials, offering everything from free snacks and lip balm to discounts on cards, gifts and grad merchandise.

The Stuffed Owl Café, conveniently located on the Campus Center's lower level, provides the Citrus community with a diverse selection of fresh offerings daily. You can sit down and savor a hot entrée, select something from the burrito/tostada bar, or pick up quick sandwich or snack to go. The Stuffed Owl is open Monday-Thursday for breakfast and lunch, and you'll find vending machines at multiple campus locations to satisfy night and weekend cravings.

Haugh Performing Arts Center is part of the college's 60,000-square-foot Entertainment Technology Complex. The state-of-the-art Center features seating for 1,440 people. It regularly hosts campus events and productions of the Performing Arts Department, as well as professional touring performers, drawing about 100,000 community patrons each year.
