McDowell Columns Building
Tour stop audio transcript
Welcome to Chowan University, we're excited to have you take our virtual tour! We are starting at the McDowell Columns Building, built in 1851. It was the original building where the students lived and learned on campus. The building was named in 1968 to honor and memorialize founding president, Dr. Archibald McDowell and his daughter, Eunice. Today it houses most administrative offices such as the president, provost, business office, registrar and financial aid as well as our largest auditorium: Turner Auditorium. On the back of the building is the campus bookstore.
