Welcome to Clark Atlanta University, a historically black research university located on a 126-acre campus in Atlanta, Georgia. Clark Atlanta was created in 1988 from the joining of Clark College, an undergraduate college, and Atlanta University, a graduate school. Clark Atlanta University belongs to the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUC Consortium), which consists of the following additional historically black colleges: Spelman, Morehouse, the Interdenominational Theological Center, and the Morehouse School of Medicine. Students can enroll in classes at any of these schools, further increasing their academic and social options. Let's take a look at the campus!

Just one of the residence options at Clark Atlanta, Heritage Commons offers students fully furnished 2-bedroom and 4-bedroom apartments. Both floor plans feature two bathrooms, a living area, and a full kitchen with amenities like a dishwasher, oven, and microwave. Heritage Commons residents take advantage of the state-of-the-art fitness facility inside, as well as a computer lab, game room, and lounge area.

Bumstead Hall is one of the more traditional residence halls at Clark Atlanta and primarily houses freshmen. Located just north of the campus, rooms in Bumstead are air-conditioned and come furnished with twin beds, dressers, and desks. While most rooms are double occupancy, there are some single and triple options.

Named after the 19th president of Clark College, the Brawley Hall seen here replaced the recently demolished residence hall of the same name. Brawley Hall features apartment-style residences for upper-classmen, complete with bedroom furniture, a common area, and full kitchen. Because of the latter, students can opt out of the college meal plan.

Named after the former CEO of the nearby Coca-Cola Company, the Robert W. Woodruff Library serves all five of the AUC Consortium schools. Woodruff's holdings are comprised of more than 1 million materials, including 43,000 electronic books and 1,500 current periodical subscriptions. There are hundreds of study carrels utilized by faculty and students who are conducting research. Several computer labs and electronic classrooms with video conferencing capabilities also contribute to making this library a great resource for your academic pursuits.

Constructed in 1965 but renovated only a few years ago, the 25,000 square- foot Wright Hall is home to the School of Business Administration (SBA). Upgrades have made the building energy-efficient enough to be designated a LEED Gold-certified facility. For nearly 50 years, the School of Business Administration has graduated the highest number of black MBA's in the country; graduates have become successful leaders in many fields.

Harkness Hall is the main administrative building at Clark Atlanta, with offices for the President, Human Resources, and Academic Affairs. It is one of the more recognizable buildings on campus, and also holds historical significance: the eulogy for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was given on the wide steps of this grand brick-and-Doric-column building.

Clark Atlanta University is comprised of the following four schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, and Social Work. The School of Education makes its home here in Clement Hall, a LEED Silver-certified facility renovated in 2009. It is divided into three departments or areas of concentration: Counselor Education, Curriculum Department, and Educational Leadership. In each department, students are led by a committed faculty to become "change agents" equipped to work in a variety of educational settings.
