Yeager Center

"The *Yeager* Center is located on the north end of the main campus, which is the original campus entrance. This grandiose Mission-style building is home to many university departments such as the Admissions Office, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and the University Registrar, as well as popular campus eateries like Chick-fil-A, Wanda's, and the Alumni Dining Commons (aka The Caf). Additionally, the Yeager Center also houses the School of Christian Ministries, the School of Education, classrooms, and other various learning environments. Due to its convenient proximity to the Admissions & Visitor Parking lot, current students who walk by often hear prospective families and visitors saying ""Wow"" after they park their vehicles."

James Building

Did you know that shortly after it was founded in 1950, CBU moved from El Monte to Riverside? It was at that time that CBU took up residence in the James Building, the original facility that housed the entire school. Today, the James Building is teeming with classrooms, science labs, and a cutting-edge design studio called the Loft. Inside you will find the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, just to name a few. The building is adjacent to the front lawn and Palm Drive. During the year, the front lawn serves as the competition ground for intramural sports and the gathering spot for many campus-wide events including Fortuna Bowl, Lancer Cup and Homecoming. And Palm Drive is an iconic campus spot for graduation photos and hammocks!

Stamps Courtyard

Stamps Courtyard is located in the heart of the CBU campus. This courtyard connects the James Building, the Yeager Center, the Alumni Dining Commons, the Wallace Theatre, and the Annie Gabriel Library. In Stamps Courtyard, you will encounter a highlight of the CBU experience: the intersection of academics and community. Walking through, you may overhear a lively debate among history majors or see the Pre-Med Club planning their next meeting. On the south side of the courtyard is the Annie Gabriel Library, which provides students with academic resources in print and online.

Freshmen Housing

"This is University Place (aka U.P.), one of several upperclassmen apartments available to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each upperclassmen housing option is conveniently located, making it easy to walk to classes, dining locations, and inner courtyards that are popular gathering spots for students. Lancer Plaza

Lancer Plaza is the home of several university destinations, including the Community Life Office, Lounge, Spiritual Life, the Campus Store, El Monte Grill, ShakeSmart and The Post. One hallmark of the CBU experience is the option for activities outside the classroom. At Community Life, you can join a club based on your career or your interests, or compete in intramural sports with thousands of other students. At Spiritual Life you can get connected and explore different growth opportunities, like serving globally, locally, or through our discipleship ministry. Both current students and visiting families alike enjoy checking out the new gear at the Campus Store (and for textbooks, of course).

Welcome to the Dale E. & Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center, the tallest and largest facility on campus. This 153,000 square-foot building holds over 5,000 seats and hosts our men's and women's basketball teams, commencement exercises, campus events, and chapel programs. During basketball games, you can join the student section for an electrifying gameday experience as you root for the NCAA Division I Lancers. At chapel each week, the CBU community gathers together to worship as well as hear from engaging speakers from across the globe. This space regularly wows it's visitors and fosters an energetic atmosphere!

International Center

The International Center serves our growing number of international students from admission to graduation. This office also plans cross-cultural events for our entire campus community, like the annual Festival of Color. Other offices in the same complex include Safety Services, Student Accounts, and the Office of Student Success. The Safety Services Office keeps our campus secure with trained officers on duty 24/7, 365 days per year. The Office of Student Success offers free tutoring, a writing center, and other services to help students thrive from the classroom to commencement. So, if you're struggling with your first-year anatomy class or just want to raise that B to an A in accounting, stop by. They'd love to help!

Lancers Athletic Complex

Welcome to the Lancers Athletic Complex, home of the CBU Lancers! This complex hosts several of our athletic teams, as well as our school's fan base: the CBU Crazies! Here you'll find the baseball field, the softball field, the Lancer soccer field, a new track, the Lancer Aquatics Center which hosts water polo games and swim and dive meets, and the Van Dyne Gym, the home of the volleyball and wrestling teams. The Lancers are members of NCAA Division I and are primary members of the Western Athletic Conference. Lance Up!

Health Science Campus

The College of Health Science equips the next generation of health care professionals in patient care, wellness, fitness and more. These programs are for students who want to help someone rehabilitate from a sports injury, design a community health-education program or learn therapy techniques to help children with speech delays. The health science facility contains classrooms, faculty offices and research laboratories, including live radiation labs with X-ray machines and a climate-controlled heat chamber where students can research the effects of heat and humidity on the body during exercise. It is also home to Foodology, a dining option with homemade potato chips and fantastic sandwiches.

School of Performing Arts

The Shelby and Ferne Collinsworth School of Performing Arts offers students a premier education in music and the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people across the globe. The Music building features soundproofed performance and practice studios, music labs, a world-class recording studio and 27 private rehearsal rooms, most furnished with a baby grand piano. Beyond merely entertaining audiences, students are encouraged to engage passionately with their music to truly communicate a mastery of experience and emotion and to collaborate with others for a greater purpose. Open rehearsals allow students to stop and be refreshed as they listen to orchestrations from today's leading Christian musicians.

College of Engineering

Welcome to the Gordon and Jill *Bourns* College of Engineering. This 100,000 square foot installation contains a High Definition Data Lab, an Automotive Lab, a full-scale concrete stress-test lab, an Innovation room for visiting startups and businesses as well as collaborative design spaces. CBU engineering students work on group projects throughout their program, learning the math and science of engineering, as well as teamwork and service-oriented leadership. Required involvement in internships, cross-cultural projects and community service are just three reasons why the College of Engineering produces a consistent 90% job placement rate among its graduates year after year.

School of Business

"If you've ever dreamed of starting your own business or imagined the perfect branding strategy for a Fortune 500 company, then you will likely spend most of your time in the Dr. Robert K. Jabs School of Business. Students interested in accounting, marketing, business administration, international business, entrepreneurship or finance will learn how to lead an organization and develop the practical skills to carry their ideas from the dreaming stage to implementation. Located on the first floor of the Park Building is the Career Center, which helps students align their education with their career goals. Each year they conduct over 4,000 1:1 appointments, 1,000 mock interviews, host nearly 700 employers on-campus via career fairs, and help students develop the soft skills needed to pursue their dream job. There's no wonder why the Wall Street Journal ranked CBU #1 in the country for career preparedness for 2024. "

No matter where they're coming from in the world, all of our students agree on this: "CBU has great food!" Our consistently top-ranked options include the all-you-can-eat Alumni Dining Commons, or the "Caf" as it's more commonly referred to. The Caf has constantly changing cuisine options ranging from sushi to CBU-stamped Belgian waffles. With more than ten (10) on-campus eateries, you can enjoy burritos, tacos, and guacamole from El Monte Grill; smoothies from ShakeSmart, salads at Foodology; burgers from Fireside; or that perfect chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A. Yes, you read that right. As no surprise, our Chick-fil-A is a campus favorite, and nothing builds friendship faster than sharing a milkshake and waffle fries!

College of Nursing

Welcome to the Nursing Annex, home of the College of Nursing. Nursing is one of the most popular majors at CBU because so many of our students feel the call to sacrifice for others and provide excellent care to patients in need. Committed to providing the most effective training, the College of Nursing has over 200 clinical partnerships, seven (7) simulation spaces for skills training, and state-of-the-art manikins that imitate cardiac arrest and even birth! Also in the Nursing Annex is a Black Box Simulation studio, which uses projection to cast videos on surrounding walls and immerses students in real-life scenarios like natural disasters or car crashes - scents included!

Architecture Building

The architecture building contains 18,000 square feet of studios, classrooms, two model shops, exhibit spaces, and more. The finishes and furnishings of the architecture building have been artfully crafted to promote the ideal environment for future architects to thrive. As a student in the program, you will be given your own dedicated studio space where you can experience hands-on learning in a community environment. Also, as part of the architecture program, students participate in an international trip to earn six (6) units of course credit at no additional cost.

Department of Aviation

Welcome to CBU's Flight Operations Center. Located at the Riverside Municipal Airport, CBU's Department of Aviation will certify students to become commercial airline pilots, dispatchers, unmanned aerial systems operators, airport managers and inflight service professionals. Students can train their landing procedures at many major U.S. airports on our flight simulator, or take to the skies in a Piper aircraft from our fleet. Whether it be taking flight training in one of our aircraft or engaging in their first solo flight through the air, our aviation students are finding their purpose at 30,000 feet above ground.

Great Commission Plaza

This is the Great Commission Plaza, located in the heart of the Yeager Center. At the center of the plaza is the Kugel, an 8-ton granite globe with the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19–20, inscribed on its base. The Great Commission is Jesus' command to his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations. Not only is this the location where we pray and launch our global trips, but it is from this same spot that CBU will send you out upon graduation - that you might go out into the world more equipped to Live Your Purpose.
