Campus Mall

The campus mall is the heart of campus. It's a popular spot for meeting up with friends, hanging out in a hammock, playing ultimate Frisbee, reading or just relaxing in the sun. It's also the site of several big campus events, including the annual Homecoming Festival and Commencement exercises. The trees along the Mall were chosen so their leaves would turn Bridgewater colors—crimson and gold—each fall. It's a beautiful sight!

John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons

Located on the campus mall is the John Kenny Forrer Learning Commons, a next-generation library that goes beyond books to be a workshop for learning. Students will find a one-stop shop for all their learning needs, including flexible study spaces outfitted with the latest technology, quiet study areas, a café, and outdoor spaces. On the first floor, students can connect with technology support, the Writing Center, Career Services, media production assistance, peer coaching and tutoring, and research support.

Stone Village

Named in honor of past BC president Phil Stone, Stone Village is made up of six Victorian-style buildings, complete with an outside barbeque area. Each apartment in the Village buildings includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and a kitchen with granite countertops. The buildings are LEED-certified, illustrating the College's dedication to sustainable living.

Residence Halls

Bridgewater offers students a variety of living options—anything from residence halls with shared rooms, usually co-ed by floor, to suites and singles to apartments. Bridgewater is a residential campus, so students live on campus all four years.

Wampler Towers

Wampler Towers provides upperclass students with the opportunity for more living space and more independence than students might get in a residence hall. Each four-person apartment includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms.

Bowman Hall

Bowman Hall is a central academic building on campus, home to the departments of economics and business, English, philosophy and religion, psychology, sociology and world languages. A variety of classrooms, including one of the two larger lecture halls on campus, are located here.

McKinney Center

The McKinney Center for Science and Mathematics houses a lecture hall that holds 100 students, though the average class size on campus is 19. This is the sort of place where your profs will know your name, and they'll know if you're in class—whether you like it or not! Here students take classes and labs in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, data science, engineering, environmental science and more. A greenhouse is located next door.

Funkhouser Center

We're now arriving at the Funkhouser Center, designed for the fitness and recreation use of all students. As a student, you can spend time here using three basketball courts, two volleyball courts, a fitness center, a track, an aerobics and dance room, two racquetball courts and more. Nearby you'll find an outdoor sand volleyball court and a disc golf course. The Funk, as we call it, is home base for the College's intramural sports program, which enables hundreds of students across campus to get involved in everything from spikeball to 3 on 3 basketball.

Center for Diversity Education & Advocacy

College View Drive is also home to the IDEA Center. IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Advocacy. This house offers a welcoming space for our Eagle Success Mentoring program and gives small groups a great place to gather for programs or just to unwind.

Cole Hall

Cole Hall is the site of Bridgewater's main auditorium. It features a stage, dressing rooms, stage lighting and sound equipment, as well as a pipe organ. As a student, you'll attend many events in Cole Hall—everything from big-name endowed lectures to performances by the College's talented theatre students. Downstairs you'll find the campus store—a great place to pick up your first Eagles sweatshirt!

Kline Campus Center

The Kline Campus Center, often referred to as the KCC or simply the K, is a hub of activity here at Bridgewater. Students come here for daily meals in the dining hall, which features an assortment of locally sourced, made-from-scratch food. Every day, we choose from a variety of deli and grill options and homestyle meals, as well as the salad bar, pizza, ice cream and more. The KCC is also the home of the Office of Student Life, where you will find resources for counseling services, student engagement and much more, as well as campus mail and print services.

Nininger Hall

Nininger is the home of the College's Division 3 athletic programs—which includes more than 20 sports for men and women—and the Department of Health and Human Sciences, one of the largest academic department at the College. This is where fans go to cheer on the College's basketball and volleyball teams and where all coaches, locker rooms, team rooms, and strength and conditioning facilities are located. Nininger also houses the College's pool, which has an adjustable bottom and is available for the use of all students.

Jopson Athletic Complex

The Jopson Athletic Complex is home to practice and playing fields and courts for many of the College's D-3 sports teams, including football, field hockey, tennis, track, baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse. Eagle pride is big here at Bridgewater, with the stands filling up with students, parents, faculty, staff and community members to cheer on our student-athletes.

Yount Hall

Built in 1905, Yount Hall is the site of the College's admissions office and will be your first stop when you visit campus as a prospective student!

Memorial Hall

Built in 1890, Memorial Hall is the oldest building on campus and boasts the College's iconic bell tower. The bell is rung at moments of community celebrations, including athletic victories. Your time at BC will start with the ringing of the bell to welcome incoming first-year students and will end with the ringing of the bell to congratulate graduates at Commencement. Memorial Hall houses the Department of Communication Studies and Theatre, as well as studio spaces and offices for the art department.

Carter Center

The Carter Center for Worship and Music houses the music department, along with a concert hall, often used for musical events, lectures and more. BC's musical ensembles are open to students from any major. We also have an incredible marching band—the Screamin' Eagles!

Rebecca Quad: Moomaw Hall and Rebecca Hall

Moomaw Hall offers classrooms and labs for our program in human development and family science. Rebecca Hall hosts sculpture studios for our art department, as well as the Offices of Financial Aid and Student Accounts on the second floor.

The Wright-Heritage complex is made up of two residence halls, Wright and Heritage, with an area in between them that we call "the Link." The Link is home to BC's varsity esports program. In our gaming arena and practice facility, you'll find students playing games like Overwatch, Madden, League of Legends and more.
