The Peter Buck Center for Health and Wellness opened in September of 2009. The state-of-the-art facility allows Bowdoin to offer all fitness and wellness programs in one location and includes an expansive free-weight fitness facility with rowing machines on the lower level, a cardiovascular fitness center with weight machines on the ground floor, and a three-story interior climbing wall. The building also includes the Athletic Department offices on the second floor and the College’s Health Services on the third floor. The building, which is located in the heart of campus, is adjacent to Morrell Gymnasium, where Bowdoin’s basketball and volleyball teams practice and compete.
