Sauder Visual Arts Center

Sauder Visual Arts Center is home to Bluffton's art department with state-of-the-art studios for drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture. Our modern Mac lab is equipped with individual work stations for graphic design students. Gallery exhibits and artist receptions are featured monthly during the academic year and are open to the public at no charge.

Riley Court Apartments

As a residential campus, Bluffton is a place where you will live, learn and grow in community. Upperclass students have the opportunity to do this through apartment living in Riley Court's Hauenstein and Hirschler Halls, which were renovated in 2016. Each suite features a full kitchen, spacious common area and washer and dryer unit. Students also have the opportunity to cook their own meals while maintaining access to a meal plan for quick and easy eating options. The apartments allow students an independent living choice on campus while remaining just a short walk to classes, the fitness center or recreational activities in Marbeck Center.

Centennial Hall

Centennial Hall, dedicated during Bluffton's 100-year anniversary celebration, is the academic facility where you'll find most of your classes, and is home to the Technology Center which offers free printing throughout your college career. With our 11:1 student faculty ratio, your academic experience is enhanced with group discussion, an active curriculum, and professors who mean it when they say, "my door is always open." Next to Centennial Hall, our science labs include modern instructional equipment while the dietetics food lab features spacious work stations and a contemporary café area.

Our campus radio station, 96.1 The Wit, also operates out of Founders Hall and provides an opportunity for students to experience all aspects of radio production and on-air broadcasting.

We've arrived at the Sommer Center. This state-of-the-art facility was dedicated in 2012 and furnished with the latest fitness & weight training equipment and Sports Medicine Center to promote health and fitness for all students, faculty, and staff. The campus community is encouraged to take advantage of the free fitness classes, weight training facilities, indoor walking & jogging track, and of course, gather together to cheer on our own Bluffton Beavers!

Here we are on Neufeld Lawn, located just outside of Neufeld and Ramseyer Halls. With six residence halls there are plenty of opportunities to find a community that's just right for you! Stackable furniture provides great flexibility in arranging your room, and each residence hall offers a full kitchen. There's also free laundry in every residence hall so no need to keep track of quarters. Nearby you will find students enjoying the outdoor basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts.

Hirschy Hall and Hirschy Annex are located in the center of campus and connected by Bluffton's Office of Multicultural Affairs, where students of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate in special events and dedicated programming. The community atmosphere with Bluffton's residence life is unique with Hall Directors and ministry assistants available in every residence hall and Resident Advisors living on every floor to support and encourage students throughout their college years.

Mosiman Hall

Welcome to Mosiman Hall, home of the Bluffton University music department. Earning the distinction of an All-Steinway Institution, Bluffton has created a facility that includes a rehearsal and lecture hall, classrooms, individual practice rooms, and an extensive lab for music and video applications. Not only for music majors, all Bluffton students can take private music lessons or participate in choir and band ensembles. In fact, 25 percent of Bluffton students participate in some type of music performance group while on campus.

College Hall was the first Bluffton University building constructed and still remains a vibrant piece of our campus community. Dedicated in 1900, College Hall is now home to administrative offices of the President, Academic Dean, Registrar, and Business Office. Here you will find friendly staff ready to help answer your questions about class schedules, student accounts, campus jobs, and much more! You'll also enjoy theatre productions in Ramseyer Auditorium and can check out photos from student Cross Cultural experiences.

Ropp and Bren Dell halls offer residence life options on the southeast side of campus. Many students' memories begin here during Welcome Weekend and Freshman Olympics with the traditional Bren Dell slip and slide. Ropp complex also offers dedicated study space for Honors Program students and is home to the student Health Center.

This is Emery Sears Athletic Complex. Located adjacent to campus, the facility is home to the softball field, Memorial Field for baseball and Alumni Field, featuring an all-weather track and turf field, for football, soccer and track and field. Our 18 NCAA D3 men's and women's athletic teams are part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. At Bluffton, student-athletes love the game, play to win and serve the community. The skills you develop in our virtue-driven athletics program will prepare you for success as a professional. Don't play a sport? That's okay! Located just adjacent to campus, Bluffton's 160 acre nature preserve offers students the opportunity to relax and reconnect with nature. With paddle boarding, kayaking, nature trails, and a swinging bridge, you'll find plenty to do. The Moyer Nature Center, opened in 2018 provides a hands-on laboratory style classroom field study in botany and environmental sciences, recreational leadership programming, and public education about the natural environment and sustainability.
