Hello and welcome to the Bethel College Virtual Tour! The College is a private, four-year liberal arts institution with a deep connection to the Mennonite faith. Students have many academic, social, athletic and community opportunities to explore during their college career. Our 90-acre campus, complete with an outdoor amphitheater and trails is home to 500-plus students and 200 faculty and staff members. In the heart of the campus you will find the Administration Building, marking the founding of the College in 1887, the oldest Mennonite college in the U.S. Our mascot, the Threshing Stone symbolizes hard work, strength, determination and community. Fondly known as "the WAC," this building is the original Science Hall, and now includes the nursing wing, with classrooms and simulation labs, and a popular atrium used for studying, receptions and late-night campus activities. There are also classrooms and faculty offices for social work, teacher education, Bible and religion, history and political science, business administration and economics, math and software development. Classes at Bethel have between 5 and 40 students with a faculty to student ratio of 15 to 1. The WAC has Mac and PC labs for student use, as well as the offices for Career and Leadership Development, student health and wellness, and academic support services.

We are now in the Krehbiel Science Center. Here you'll find classrooms, seminar rooms, labs and faculty offices for psychology, chemistry, biology and other natural sciences. Students in all science classes – not just upper-level ones –have access to labs. The atrium is a popular place for meetings and receptions. The building also houses the Lattner Conservatory greenhouse, and the Mabee Observatory and telescope on the top floor. All science students participate in active research, have opportunities to job-shadow and build pre-professional experiences with faculty and outside experts.

We are now at the Luyken Fine Arts Center. At the center of this building is Krehbiel Auditorium, where campus theater productions (plays, musicals and operas) take place, as do instrumental music events. Recent additions include areas that highlight Bethel accomplishments in forensics, vocal and instrumental music and theater. There are faculty offices, classrooms and practice rooms for theater, communication arts and music, as well as the journalism production area and the KBCU-FM radio station. Here you'll also find the Regier Art Gallery, which hosts exhibits by faculty, students and guest artists during the school year. The external Franz Art Studio is home to sculpture and ceramics, painting and photography.

Here we are in Thresher Gym, the athletic facility for volleyball, basketball, cheer, and dance. Bethel's athletic centerpiece is Thresher Stadium, which seats 2,500 fans. It's the home field and pitch for football, women's flag football and soccer, where teams play on artificial turf, and runners compete using the eight-lane track. Our two newest facilities are Ward Tennis Center and Allen Wedel Softball Field. Threshers love to win and participating in the Roll On Chant is a tradition not to be missed!

Welcome to Schultz Student Center. Buy Bethel gear, get a great cup of coffee, pick up your mail and gather with friends around a meal table, all in one building, which houses the Thresher Shop, Reverie Coffee at Mojo's and the Caf. On the walls of the hallway leading from the cafeteria to the coffee shop, look for panels about outstanding alumni and some of their accomplishments. Extensive recent renovations focused on the cafeteria but also included the new Intrust Bank Conference Room.

Bethel's newest residence is Voth Hall for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Suites are arranged with two 2-person rooms that share a bathroom and shower between them. Voth is next to the sand volleyball pit and outdoor basketball court, but all residence halls are within easy access of campus facilities. The others are Haury Hall (freshman-only) and Warkentin Court, with mods for 8-9 people each. Mods (for sophomores, juniors and seniors) have five bedrooms with living room and kitchen areas. Each residence has its own laundry area. In the green space between the residence halls are the first holes of the Thresher National Disc Golf Course.

The aim of Bethel's nursing program is "to develop you as a whole person, prepared to care for the whole person." Our excellent faculty and state-of-the-art training facility, including simulation labs, have helped Bethel nursing earn a Top 10 rating in Kansas from RegisteredNursing.com, and produce NCLEX pass rates historically above the state average. We offer an Early Acceptance option for high-performing high school juniors and seniors, as well as an online RN-to-BSN completion program. We are faith-based and patient-centered, with emphasis on service and leadership development. It's no wonder that Bethel nursing graduates are highly sought after by local health professionals.

After more than two years of planning, and review of student needs and interests, Bethel launched its software development major in 2021. This major is designed to provide the skills needed for entry into a job market projected to grow by more than 20%, in Kansas and nationally, over the next 10 years. The major includes courses in graphical user interface, web app development and programming languages, along with software design and development. The program also offers a minor for students who want to acquire software skills applicable to their major, and a graduate school track for those looking to pursue advanced study in computer science.

Welcome to the College Chapel. This is one of the most beautiful rooms on campus with traditional stained glass windows, a beautiful wooden ceiling and historic organ as a centerpiece. As a faith-based institution, spiritual life opportunities abound at Bethel. Weekly services are provided that bring students, faculty, staff and the community together. Additional activities include bible studies, fellowship of Christian athletes, service and faith formation workshops. Bethel is a place that allows students the space, freedom and support to explore their faith journey in ways that are best for them.
