Welcome to Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in Orlando, Florida. We focus on developing attorneys who uphold the highest ethical standards in the profession. The Andreas Law Center is home to the Office of Admissions. We have a rolling admissions policy, offer a free LSAT Prep course, and our counselors are always available to assist you. Here you can also get to know the Career Services team, which helps you with the full spectrum of career planning, whether you'd like to improve your interview skills, strengthen your resume, or network with potential employers. If you're interested in environmental law, you might work with our Center for Earth Jurisprudence, which advocates for broader legal protection of the natural environment and explores issues such as sustainable development, climate change, fragile ecosystems, and clean water.

Sidebar Cafe

Be sure to stop by the Sidebar Café to refuel before a study session or treat yourself after a long day. The café is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can satisfy your appetite with mouth-watering sandwiches, hearty salads, and restaurant favorites. You'll also find meals-to-go, fruit smoothies, and a coffee bar -- in case you can't live without your morning latte. The Sidebar Café is a great place to grab a bite to eat, meet your classmates, and talk about your last exam. A few professors are known to join students for lunch to hold question-and-answer sessions and discuss the latest legal issues.

Moot Courtroom

At Barry Law, you will be ready to step from the classroom to the courtroom. You may be invited to join one of our championship winning moot court and trial teams. In moot court, you'll learn persuasive brief writing and oral advocacy, and work with some of the nation's best oral advocates. In trial team, you will learn the art of trial presentation, including opening statements, cross examination, handling evidence, and more. Our teams participate in regional, national, and international competitions each year and have brought home numerous accolades. This is the largest of many moot courtrooms available on campus to practice your skills.

Head to the Legal Advocacy Center for the Office of Student Financial Services. We strive to connect you to the resources you need to complete your degree. All admitted students are automatically considered for renewable academic scholarships and need-based grants. Our financial services team is always available to assess your financial situation, offer insight on debt management, help you with outside scholarships, and answer any questions you may have. At the Legal Advocacy Center, you'll also find moot courtrooms to practice your skills, an events room, the Office of the Registrar, and the Office of the Dean.

Euliano Law Library

Chances are you'll be spending a lot of time at the Euliano Law Library. You'll find all the information you'll need to write a thorough brief, conduct research, and pass your exams. With three stories of legal information, legal research may seem daunting. That's why we have expert librarians to guide you. In addition to earning master's degrees in library and information science, they have JD degrees and remember what it's like to be a law student. The library includes multimedia study rooms, a computer lab, and Wi-Fi printing.

The Faculty Building houses faculty offices and meeting areas. At Barry Law, we pair you with a faculty mentor before Orientation. They serve as a resource throughout your time here and get to know your goals and strengths. Their mentorship stays with you after graduation, through the bar exam, and beyond. Our professors come from a variety of educational backgrounds and career paths, bringing a breadth of experience that enriches the learning environment. They challenge you to think critically and focus on making you the type of lawyer that you want to be.

In this building, you'll find the Comprehensive Legal Academic Success Program. You'll join this program in your first year and will be assigned an academic counselor who will support your every academic need from the day you start at Barry Law to the day you pass the bar in the state that you plan the practice. You can get assistance at the Writing Center, meet your counselor to create a plan for academic success, or join a weekly workshop to improve your test-taking and study skills. If you need extra supplies for those workshops, don't worry – the Barry Law Bookstore is nearby.

To make sure you're practice-ready by graduation, our legal clinics and externships give you hands-on experience in your second or third year. You'll have the opportunity to become a Florida Bar Certified Legal Intern and practice law alongside an attorney. Our in-house clinics focus on juvenile defense, immigration, environmental bankruptcy, and family law. You'll be taught by Barry Law professors, practicing lawyers, and trial judges. Under their supervisions, you'll represent real clients, take depositions, and develop solid negotiation skills. Our externship program expands your options to any other specialty that interests you. No matter what, our Barry Law faculty and staff are always here to guide you.
