Year round, Penafort Pool is the perfect place to hang out, swim, or just work on your tan. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even take SCUBA diving classes here.

Thompson Hall

Stop by Thompson Hall to recharge, in more ways than one. Grab a bite to eat at the Buc Stop. Take a study break on the shaded patio, or power up your phone or tablet at the charging station. At the Miller Studio, you can join a yoga or dance class, one of many wellness classes offered for free. You can also stroll through the art exhibits at the Andy Gato Gallery. If you're a fine art student, you'll also display your art pieces here. You might even meet a potential buyer, since the gallery is open to the public.

D. Inez Andreas School of Business

In the Andreas School of Business – like in all of Barry's programs – you'll take what you learn in the classroom and apply it in the community. For instance, the Student Managed Investment Fund gives you hands-on experience managing real money in real financial markets. The students currently manage a fund worth over $300,000. You can also teach high school students how to manage their money, help local residents file their taxes, and find business development opportunities for residents of low-income neighborhoods – all as an undergraduate student.

R. Kirk Landon Student Union

The Landon Student Union is the center of campus life. It's home to the Division of Student Affairs, which oversees student activities, orientation, campus living, and career development. From day one at Barry, you can get involved in more than 60 student organizations, develop leadership skills, and make professional connections. The Student Union also houses Bucky's Cove sports bar and Roussell Dining Hall, the main dining spot on campus. It serves up a variety of delicious meals every day. Then you can also work off those calories at the Fitness Center.

Built in 2012, Dominican Hall is the newest residence hall on campus and it's reserved for juniors and seniors. It includes a café and convenience store on the first floor, just a few of the perks when you live on campus at Barry. Of course, all Barry housing includes free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and laundry rooms.

We are the Barry Buccaneers, one of the most competitive athletics programs in the NCAA Division II. As of spring 2015, we've won 15 NCAA National Championships and as a Barry student, you can play on – or cheer on – 12 varsity teams: men's baseball, men's and women's basketball, golf, soccer, and tennis, and women's rowing, softball, and volleyball. As a student-athlete, you'll learn to lead on the playing field and in the classroom. We've produced over 300 Scholar All-American athletes over the years.

At the Monsignor William Barry Memorial Library you'll find everything you need to ace your classes and make your family proud. The library offers a ton of information, online and in print. Our expert librarians will help you find what you need, when you need it. Technically challenged? Don't worry. Group study rooms are equipped with 60-inch monitors and multimedia connections, so you can easily work with your classmates. The library houses the main computer lab with over 150 software packages and Wi-Fi printing. You can also check out a laptop for free.

James G. Garner Hall

Lights, camera, action! Garner Hall houses the Department of Communication and the David Brinkley Television Studio, a full-service digital media center where you can showcase your talent and let your voice be heard. With the guidance of professors and staff at the Student Media Center, you can produce a TV program, host a radio show, or write for the Barry Buccaneer newspaper. Garner Hall also has the Glenn Hubert Learning Center, where you'll find professional tutors to help you with math, reading, and writing. You can also sign up for study groups or take workshops to help you excel in your classes.

Shepard and Ruth K. Broad Center for the Performing Arts

Have a flair for the arts? Then maybe you'll take the stage at the Broad Center. The Fine Arts Department puts on plays, operas, concerts, and dance performances throughout the year and you work with professors who will guide you and have faith in your potential. As a music major, you can start performing as a freshman – not well into your junior or senior year, like at other universities. And the theater department holds open auditions, so you can try out even if you aren't a fine arts major.

The Wiegand Center is home to the natural and health sciences programs, including nursing, biology, and chemistry. With the guidance of your professors, you can lead your own research project as an undergraduate science major. You might present your findings at a national conference and gain valuable experiences for graduate school. Our science equipment is the same you'll find in professional settings, giving you the knowledge and professional skills you need to hit the ground running when you graduate.

Are you ready to make a difference in this world? Then stop by Adrian Hall. You'll find the Center for Community Service Initiatives, which oversees all service activities at Barry. As one of our core commitments, service is a big deal on campus. You'll participate in service-learning, which mixes coursework with meaningful community projects. You'll discuss social justice issues – poverty, immigration, and the environment – to find practical solutions. We have Service Days throughout the year and Alternative Spring Break to get you involved. After all, learning at Barry means giving back and interacting with the world. We've made the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll since 2012.

Cor Jesu, which is Latin for "heart of Jesus," is the physical and spiritual heart of Barry University. Bells chime from the chapel's 80-foot tower every hour, and inside, you'll find a sacred space where Mass is celebrated daily. The chapel dates back to our founding in 1940 by the Adrian Dominican Sisters, when Barry was the first Catholic college for women in Florida. A lot has changed since then, but our values remain the same. You'll be welcomed here no matter your faith tradition or denomination. And we can't wait to share with you our commitment to knowledge and truth, an inclusive community, social justice, and service to others.
