We are proud to be serving New York City since 1994. Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal, the creator, whose nick name was “Balu” in his early years, left India and came to America in 1980. He worked at some of the finest restaurants such as “Club 21″ and “The Oak Room.” His experience and passion for restaurants led him to create the first mid segment casual Indian restaurant in New York City, a.k.a. your beloved Baluchis. They are joined by Mr. Rohan Aggarwal, who is the second generation of this family. Mr. Rohan Aggarwal is currently overseeing the catering and marketing segments of this chain, and also working on new concepts to be implemented very soon. The standards and innovations that our creators developed have paved the way for many successful brands besides Baluchi’s and have changed the way people percieve Indian food in the United States and abroad
