My peer, Madi, and I are going to be your tour guides today, and we are excited to show you around our beautiful New England campus in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Founded in 1919 by Roger Babson, our school is a place where you'll develop the entrepreneurial skills, mindset, and network needed to make an impact in the business world and beyond. Park Manor Quad

Babson's four Park Manor Residence Halls—West, Central, North, and South—provide first-year students with living spaces, lounges, kitchen facilities, and meeting rooms. Here, you're never far from academic buildings, the dining hall, and the campus center. Right now, we're in Park Manor South, where four floors of students live in single, double, triple, or quad rooms with shared bathrooms on each floor. First-year students also can apply to live in a living learning community. An opportunity to build stronger relationships with peers of all backgrounds, staff, and faculty for a more enriching and engaged Babson experience.

Leonard A. Schlesinger Innovation Center

The Leonard A. Schlesinger Innovation Center is the working laboratory for Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (we call it FME for short!). It's a course where 100 percent of undergraduate first-year students create, develop, launch, and manage real ventures. Here's how it works: two faculty members teach the ins and outs of running a business, like finance, marketing, accounting, and entrepreneurship. Students form teams to put these lessons into action, be it selling a product or providing a service. The College loans up to $9,000 dollars as startup money for each venture. At the end of the year, businesses are liquidated and all profits are donated to a local service organization.

The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship

Babson's centers and institutes are where students gather, collaborate, research and gain real-life experience to augment what they have learned in the classroom. We're in the Arthur M. Blank Center, where hundreds of students take advantage of free workspace, funding, and guidance through such programs as the Butler Launchpad, Summer Venture Program, and more. Here, the Institute for Family Entrepreneurship supports entrepreneurs through action-based learning and programming, while the Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership encourages women entrepreneurial leaders through programming, events, and coaching. With a focus on entrepreneurial leadership, Babson has established the Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership—through a $50 million gift from the Blank Family Foundation—to develop leaders with empathy, integrity, compassion, and drive to create global solutions. Each year, Babson awards Arthur M. Blank School for Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholarships to six undergraduate students who embody Blank's leadership qualities, and the foundational values of the school, increasing access and diversity at Babson. The Blank School—separate from the Blank Center—is home to Babson's centers and institutes, and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Village, where the Babson community comes together to learn, collaborate, and take action—future site coming soon!

Olin Hall is the central location for graduate students at Babson to take a class, meet with faculty, gather with your team, or just grab a bite to eat. Here, you'll find a vibrant community of peers from more than 60 countries, speaking more than 40 languages—a hallmark of the Babson experience. Olin is home to Graduate Academic Services, where you will partner with our experienced advisors to create your academic roadmap, and the Graduate Center for Career Development, where you will receive personalized guidance in your career search journey. There's plenty to do outside of the classroom thanks to our Student Life division, your connection to more than 25 Graduate student-run organizations of all types, running the gamut from business-related clubs to special interest groups and athletic organizations. We also host a number of annual events specifically for graduate students to encourage cross-program networking.

Design Zone

The Design Zone isn't your typical classroom, it's a space for our students to collaborate and use creative thinking to solve problems. Everything here is portable and flexible, allowing for quick transitions between discussion, group work, and design reviews, supporting the project-based work that's essential to the Babson experience. While all graduate students have access to the space, students in our Master of Science in Management in Entrepreneurial Leadership program, a nine-month, cohort-based degree, will get to know the Design Zone well through LEAP, our Leading Entrepreneurial Action Project, where they work on a team to define, design, and develop a business or initiative that solves a problem.

Lewis Institute

The Lewis Institute for Social Innovation activates people to become changemakers and unifiers via a global community dedicated to addressing social and economic challenges through entrepreneurship. As Babson's social innovation hub, the Lewis Institute touches on all areas of Social Impact space, from social entrepreneurship to corporate social responsibility, the environment, health, international development, and nonprofits. It serves as a thought leader and facilitator for anyone who wants to pursue a career with a social mission, to make sure every voice is heard, and to effect global change one community at a time. Programs include Uncommon Tables (a social innovation roundtable that meets regularly throughout each semester), Babson Youth Impact Lab (which activates youth changemakers) and FutureLab on Mobility (which engages in robust dialogue about the needs related to mobility).

Babson Recreation and Athletics Complex (BRAC)

All are welcome at the Babson Recreation and Athletics Complex, or BRAC, our new state-of-the-art fitness-recreation facility. You can take advantage of three indoor courts, two floors of exercise spaces, and multipurpose studios. Students are welcome to take part in a club or intramural sport such as basketball, indoor soccer, dodgeball, and more. The space includes a 5,000-square-foot weight training floor and a 5,000-square-foot cardio floor. You can even join a group fitness class like Spin or Yoga, or attend campus-wide events. For varsity athletes, BRAC features dedicated team rooms and an enhanced sports medicine area.

Athletic Fields

Athletics is an integral part of the Babson experience, and the Upper Fields are one of the many places where you can catch one of our 22 varsity athletic teams in action. Like MacDowell Field, a fully lit, artificial turf complex that is home to our field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse teams. Our varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division III level, and have achieved remarkable success—we consistently win conference and tournament championships, have appeared in multiple NCAA final fours, and in 2017, our men's basketball team won the NCAA Division III National Championship®. Putney Hall

Here on the upper hill, you'll find suite-style halls such as Putney, a four-level, brick-faced hall that houses students in a variety of class years and consists of single- and double-occupancy rooms. In total there are 18 residence halls for undergraduate students, and more than 80 percent of Babson's undergraduate population lives on campus all four years, making our campus a real home away from home. Babson offers special-interest housing where you can reside with others in a community connected by a specific passion, such as entrepreneurship, equality, Fraternity and Sorority Life, healthy living, philanthropy, and service. An example of this is e-tower, a home to a network of passionate student entrepreneurs developing venture ideas.

Weissman Foundry

In the Weissman Foundry, students from Babson and nearby Olin, and Wellesley colleges can take their business and product ideas from concept through prototyping, doing everything from building small electronics to creating new clothing lines to developing the next generation of apps. The Foundry features such technologies and tools as 3D printers, large-format printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, soldering equipment, and computer boards. Spaces like these are where you can develop the product you'll pitch on "Shark Tank," like Andrew Heath MBA'12 and David Heath '05 of Bombas, Abby Speicher Carroll MBA'15 of DartDrones, and Max Feber '21 of BRUW. Right now we're in Trim, our campus dining hall. Comprised of many dining stations, at Trim you can choose from traditional American comfort food to cuisine from around the world. Students with dietary restrictions can opt for allergen-free, vegan, or kosher options. No time for Trim? No problem. There are 10 retail dining locations across campus for on-the-go options. We've even got a full service pub. Babson's dining locations are more than just places to grab a meal—they're venues to relax, get work done, or connect with our community. The Commons at Horn Library

Babson Commons at Horn Library is our new home to technology-enabled classrooms, the Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance, and a wealth of academic resources. The Commons is the gateway to our Horn Library, which offers access to hundreds of research databases and thousands of print and e-books. In the Commons, you can access our academic resource centers, like the Writing Center, the Math Resource Center, or the Speech Center. At the center of it all is the beautiful Bala Iyer garden, a four-season garden for students to gather in conversation and creativity and enjoy a cup of coffee from our Centennial Café.

Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance

Located in the Babson Commons, the Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance provides access to a wide array of analytical tools used by industry professionals, such as Bloomberg terminals, where students can get hands-on practice, and develop the financial modeling and coding skills that employers want. The center sponsors curricular and cocurricular activities to help students develop the skills and experience needed to be highly effective in finance and investments careers. The Cutler Center is home to the Babson Trading Team and Babson College Fund, an accredited two-semester program in which specially selected students manage a $4.2M portion of the College's endowment and are mentored by our Executives in Residence.

One of the best things about Babson? Our proximity to Boston, a city rich in entrepreneurial spirit. Situated just 10 miles away from our Wellesley campus, Babson Boston is located at 100 High Street in the heart of the city's financial district. Here, graduate students and alumni convene in our 1st floor co-working space, take classes and attend events in our 12th floor classroom space complete with meeting rooms, a café, and great views. They can enjoy the convenience—especially if they're working in the city. Undergraduate students can attend events, take classes and connect with our network of more than 16,000 Boston-area alumni. Babson Boston also is home to our Summer Venture Program, where both Graduate and Undergraduate students can build entrepreneurial skills while accelerating the development of their ventures.
