The University Residences provide AUC students with a home away from home. Nestled among palm groves, gardens and small courtyards, the residences create a private space composed of several residential units that accommodate up to 500 students. They also house the Office of Residential Life, where a diverse team of staff members is focused on creating a dynamic, student-centered experience on campus. The residences are slightly removed from the busy campus center, creating a quieter space for students to unwind. The Office of Residential Life, or ResLife for short, promotes communal living among its residents through regular events and 24-hour support. On any given day, you'll find students and ResLife staff huddled in the common areas catching up on their days and sharing ideas for new group outings. ResLife's Cross-Cultural Exchange Program organizes various trips abroad for residents. Besides learning about different cultures on these trips, students also boost their sense of independence, bond with one another and explore life outside the residences. Although residents do share unique connections, they frequently open up their common spaces to everyone on campus - to create a sense of community among all *AUCians*.
