Welcome to Aims Community College! Life-changing opportunities and beautiful campuses await you here in northern Colorado. My name is Hillary, and I am your tour guide. At Aims, students achieve their life goals. With more than 200 degree and certificate options, and over 4,000 daytime, evening and online course offerings each year, students train to step right into the job market or prepare for transfer to a four-year college or university. Arrive and thrive at Aims Community College—your education destination! You can explore our campuses in a number of ways: you can click on the front-facing arrow to begin a walking tour, you can jump to the next stop by clicking on the Next Stop button, you can select any location by using the tour-stop list or by clicking directly on the map, and you can explore a location in more detail by clicking on the 360, Photos, or Video icons. We begin our tour of the Greeley Campus at the College Center.

College Center

The College Center provides a variety of support programs and services and is a popular gathering place. One-Stop Shop staff assist with, enrollment, assessment, academic testing, transcripts, advising, enrollment, financial aid, and payment. Visit the Learning Commons, where you'll find computers, the library collection, tutoring, group study rooms, and wireless access. Student-centered impact programs support students from first generation, low-income backgrounds and students with documented disabilities. Need supplies? Our bookstore stocks everything from textbooks to hoodies. The hub for student activities across all of our campuses is Student Activities, Inclusion and Leadership. The Transition Center includes First-Year Experience and Career and Transfer Services. Satisfy your hunger with a stop at the Bistro for breakfast or lunch or with beverages and snacks from our coffee cart.

Allied Health and Sciences

Allied Health and Sciences is a state-of-the-art medical and natural sciences learning facility where expert faculty integrate hands-on training with challenging content. Fully equipped classrooms support student learning in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, geology and more! Allied Health students bring an air of professionalism to their learning labs by dressing in scrubs – the uniform of their disciplines. After completing their lecture/lab requirements, nurse aide students are able to take their certification test right here at Aims! Nursing students train with a variety of high-tech medical simulators that include SimMom, Aims' birthing simulator, and radiologic technology students practice their x-ray-taking skills on simulated body parts filled with human bones!

From its lake and fountain to its manicured lawns, Aims provides a beautiful setting for learning and relaxing. A promenade connects campus and provides a pedestrian-friendly route between buildings. Along the promenade, benches, study areas, and an outdoor classroom bring learning outside the traditional classroom and allow student connections to form in a natural and inviting atmosphere. Designed and created by Aims faculty, staff, and students as a collaborative Aims 40th Anniversary project, a sculpture, Tres Arcos, stands lakeside and represents the mission, vision and values of Aims. Great things are achieved when we work together!

The Applied Technology and Trades Center brings a new perspective to learning with a cut-away design and open-ceiling environment, instructional lab, a fully functional solar-powered system with sub metering, functional snow melt system, building automation system, Maker Space, and fabrication lab. Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) courses teach students to create drawings for things constructed, manufactured, or built. Building and Construction Site Management courses train students to oversee construction projects. The Construction, Engineering, and Industrial Technologies program teaches skills in leading-technology environments like green and sustainable building, process control logic, lean manufacturing, and LEED design. Aims meets the changing needs of the oil and gas industries with both certificate and degree options.

Welding

From cars to art to pipelines, welding is the leading way to join metals. Northern Colorado's cities and industries depend on welders to build our way of life. The Welding Technology program at Aims Community College prepares students to successfully enter the welding field. The most common welding and cutting processes are covered in great detail. Students also learn many other skills: print reading, fabrication, metallurgy and weld inspection. State-of-the-art welding facilities are found at the Greeley Campus and have been expanded to include Ft. Lupton, thanks to generous donations and partnerships with local industry leaders.

At Aims, your goals can take flight—literally! Aims is at the leading edge of the continually changing aviation industry when it comes to providing great instructors and exceptional simulation technology and equipment. The need for good pilots is strong, and our program prepares students for careers as pilots of commercial and private aircraft. Additionally, Aims holds an AT-CTI designation, which means the Federal Aviation Administration recognizes Aims for offering an Air Traffic Control program that exceeds standards. The Colorado Office of Veterans Education and Training approves all of our programs for Veterans education benefits.

Westview

The two floors of the Westview building house 25 classrooms and offices for faculty and staff in the social sciences, business, English and foreign language studies. Students often relax on the benches lining the hallways or gather in the study areas to socialize, do homework, or prepare for class.

Horizon

Student academic engagement is facilitated in Horizon. Classes including Math, English, and Advancing Academic Achievement or Triple-A, are taught here. Many students take Triple-A courses during their first semester to refine the skills necessary to be successful at Aims and beyond. Horizon also houses faculty offices. Horizon has a small family feel, so stop by and say hello!

Pathway to West Campus

May Peace Prevail On Earth. These words appear in many languages on Peace Poles that have been 'planted' throughout Greeley Campus. Part of more than 200,000 poles planted world-wide in a spirit of peace, each Aims pole is sponsored by a different campus or community group. Our Memorial Garden honors respected colleagues of Aims. Some of the elements in the Memorial Garden include an oak tree, a bench, and a wind sculpture.

Our Physical Education and Recreation Center building is a great place to relieve the stress of the day. Beat your opponent at a game of indoor racquetball or outdoor tennis, shoot some hoops in the gymnasium between classes, or run a mile without ever leaving the building. If you prefer a more structured approach to staying fit, take a class in weight training, archery, yoga, bowling, golf, or dance—among others. Aims is committed to wellness and is continually updating programs and facilities. There's something for everyone!

Cornerstone houses several key departments within Aims. The Aims Foundation sets the tone with scholarship and other opportunities for Aims students. The Community Partnerships and Workforce Development office assists students in obtaining a GED and promotes concurrent enrollment options for high school students. Intensive English Language Program (IELP) and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses allow students an opportunity to learn English in a safe and supporting environment. In the summer, College for Kids allows third- through seventh-grade youth to experience Aims. Behind the scenes, many other departments oversee the daily functions that keep Aims at the leading edge.

Ed Beaty Building

Ed Beaty is the creative center of campus and houses several arts programs: visual and performing arts, communication arts, and graphic design, along with computer science, and mathematics, encouraging creativity in all fields. Graphic design and animation labs offer students the most up-to-date technology and open, creative space to design their future. Music practice rooms and performance space resonate with student composition and song. Beaty also houses our theatre, radio station, television studio, green-screen room, surround-sound studio, and video editing booths. Those with a passion for teaching children can enroll in our early childhood and elementary education programs. The student lounge, coffee cart, and the Aims Student Radio Station support a welcoming environment.

Ft. Lupton: Prairie

Ft. Lupton is a full-service campus, and Prairie houses the student services, financial aid office, enrollment, computer labs, and lounge. Ft. Lupton also offers a Testing and Tutoring Center for students. Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs on campus include: Nurse Aide, Welding, and Agriculture. General education, art, and other classes are also offered in Ft. Lupton.

In the LEED certified Platte building, environmentally efficient technology is highlighted with the use of solar tubes and a living wall. Get started on a degree in Agriculture Production or Business Agriculture. Our partnership with Colorado State University ensures that you can transfer your credits to continue your education, or choose the certificate option and prepare to enter the job market right away. Our fully functioning welding facility offers students the opportunity to practice and refine their hands-on skills.

Aims Loveland Campus is a downtown-urban facility whose small stature belies its full-service delivery. Situated in the heart of old-town Loveland and central to the innovative Artist Community and galleries, Aims Loveland location is ideal for intellectual development and creative exploration. Like its Ft. Lupton and Greeley counterparts, Aims Loveland provides admissions and assessment services, advising, financial aid assistance, a computer lab, and tutoring services. Staff work closely with Loveland area high schools to offer programs that allow high school students to get a head-start on college. The Associate of Arts degree AA Path, certificate in Graphic Software and Applications, Animation courses, and more are available in Loveland.

A convenient drive time from major population areas of northern Colorado, the Aims Automotive and Technology Center in Windsor is 45,000 square feet of fun. This state-of-the-art facility houses our automotive service technology, collision repair, and upholstery certificate and degree programs. Select general education courses are also available. From the simulator stations to a 53-vehicle fleet, this program is hands- on. Go ahead and get dirty. You can clean up in the locker rooms before relaxing with a little foosball. The best part about our program? Our students are getting hired.

Windsor Campus - Public Safety Institute trail

Our Public Safety Institute in Windsor houses Emergency Medical Services, Fire Science, Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, and Criminal Justice. Amenities include a 53,000 square-foot, two story, state-of-the-art building, drill ground area for fire, police and EMS training, training tower, science lab, Candidate Physical Ability Test or (CPAT), simulation rooms for paramedic and EMT training, workout room for physical fitness training, medical assistant lab with exam rooms, and general education offerings so students complete their degree requirements on site. There is also a fire modeling and planning sand table and the first anatomage or virtual 4D cadaver table in the state of Colorado. Student services include registration, testing, advising, and tutoring.
