Welcome to Penn State Abington, where you can complete 26 undergraduate majors or start any of Penn State's 275-plus degrees and finish at University Park or another campus. We offer pathways to master's degrees that will save time and money while boosting your career prospects. You'll receive a world-class education within a tight knit campus community that is the most diverse within Penn State. Let's explore our campus, which sits only five miles from Philadelphia. We are easily accessible by public transportation, and we offer free shuttle services to our residence hall, nearby apartment complexes and points in Philadelphia. The Lion Shrine is a proud reminder that We Are … PENN STATE! Accessible and affordable, Abington provides high impact learning opportunities to our 3,100-plus students. You have the benefits of studying at a renowned public research university — including networking with Penn State alumni worldwide – while enjoying small classes and developing connections with faculty. Participate in Division III athletics and intramurals, clubs and organizations, study abroad, undergraduate research and many other formative experiences. We offer support staff in Counseling and Psychological Services, a campus caseworker, and a program that supports students who are in recovery or whose loved ones are struggling.
Sutherland Building

The Sutherland Plaza's open space is filled with benches and grassy spots to stretch out while studying, hanging out with friends, or enjoying festivals and other events. The historic Sutherland Building houses classrooms, an open worship space, academic advising, the Admissions and Financial Aid offices, and the Chaiken Center for Student Success, which provides free tutoring and success coaching. It is also the home of the Office of Global Programs, which supports international students and facilitates study abroad opportunities that range from 10 days to a full year.

Lions Gate Residence Hall

Four hundred students call The Lions Gate student apartment complex home. The multi-story building sits a quarter mile off-campus in the heart of the township, so students can easily walk and bike to campus, stores, and restaurants. Each unit has a kitchen, and there are meeting, recreational, and study areas. The Lions Gate has large green spaces, and it backs onto a wooded area. It's convenient to public transportation, and the campus shuttle takes students from the Lions Gate to campus and back.
The Heart of Campus

Our 45-acre campus includes the iconic duck pond, a grove full of hammocks for relaxing, a gazebo, and the amphitheater, which provides an ideal setting for learning and community. Students grab lunches and snacks and relax and study in this beautiful, natural setting.
Lares Student Union Building

The Lares Building buzzes with activities, meetings, and performances led by Student Affairs staff, which includes the Student Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The cafeteria, a student lounge, and a computer lab can be found in Lares as well as the LionShare food pantry. You'll find welcoming staff waiting to meet you in the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership. Career and Professional Development staff help you develop effective resumes, networking skills, and practice interviewing. Student leaders meet in the Nick J. Maiale ("May-lee") Student Government and Leadership Room, named for one of Abington's generous alumni.
Woodland Building

The Woodland Building is the hub for science, the arts, and engineering classes, labs, and studios. The art gallery and faculty offices can be found here and two generous lobby areas provide space to study and socialize.
Library

The library in the Woodland Building offers collaborative spaces, private study pods, a video recording studio, and gives students access to millions of titles within the Penn State system. It also provides the opportunity to work closely with expert reference librarians and take advantage of research and writing support, technology assistance, and media resources.
Rydal Building

The MakerSpace, a collaborative workspace with digital and analog. tools, is located in the Rydal Building. It provides a science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics-powered space where you can learn by doing. University Police and Public Safety, classrooms, and faculty offices can also be found here.
Athletic Building

Penn State Abington athletics, which is a member of the NCAA Division III, calls the Athletic Building home. The varsity program is comprised of 14 men's and women's teams, and we offer intramural and club sports as well. You'll often find students gathered in the weight room and outside on the large intramural field and tennis courts.
Memorial Field

REP/Rydal Train Stop

Hop on the campus shuttle for the quick drive to Rydal Executive Plaza, known as REP, home to Innovation Station, which includes the Abington LaunchBox. Student entrepreneurs find resources to build scalable businesses. You will also find the office of Continuing Education and faculty offices here. You can pick up SEPTA Regional Rail at the Rydal train station outside of REP for a quick ride to Center City Philadelphia, the suburbs, Amtrak, and Philadelphia International Airport.
