Baxter Arena

Baxter Arena serves as the home of the Omaha ice hockey, men's and women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams. The 220,000 square-foot arena opened to the public in October 2015 and seats approximately 7,800 for sporting events. The building features both the main arena for competition and a community ice sheet that serves as an alternate practice facility for the hockey team. The facility includes 12 locker rooms, a player's lounge for the hockey team, and state-of-the-art training and weight rooms. Baxter Arena is proud to be a vibrant community by hosting concerts, civic events, campus recreation, youth hockey, figure skating, and curling.

UNO's ice hockey program started in 1997 inside of Omaha's Civic Auditorium. Today the Maverick's call Baxter Arena home. It's where they work, where they train, where they meet, and where they recover. Baxter houses the team's player lounge, locker room, and athletic performance center. Additionally, it's home to Holland Ice, Omaha's training ice sheet which is located mere steps away from the main ice at Baxter Arena as well as the Maverick's locker room.

Maverick Park was completed in 2021 and includes Tal Anderson Field, home of Omaha baseball, and Connie Claussen Field, home of Omaha softball. Tal Anderson Field provides fixed seating for 1,500 fans as well as berm seating on each baseline for additional fans. Connie Claussen Field provides fixed seating for 650 fans as well as berm seating on each baseline. Both fields feature state-of-the-art artificial playing surfaces to extend the Mavericks' playing seasons. The raised concourse serves both Tal Anderson Field and Connie Claussen Field with premium seating, a press box, concession areas, and restrooms

Caniglia Field serves as the home of the Omaha men's and women's soccer programs. The pitch's artificial surface received a FIFA 2-star rating, the highest rating of any college facility in America. The infill is a unique blend of cork and coconut husk, which enhances playability and decreases field temperatures. It is the only NCAA Division I field to receive the prestigious FIFA Recommended 2-Star certification. Caniglia Field features one of the largest LED videoboards in a soccer-only college facility, measuring 21 by 42 feet, as well as an integrated scoreboard. Lighting structures provide the ultimate night soccer experience.

Sapp Fieldhouse is the base of operations for Omaha Athletics, housing athletic department offices, the strength & conditioning center, athletic training room, equipment room, physical therapy, and academic center. Sapp Fieldhouse is the practice facility for volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and track & field. The fieldhouse has four full-sized basketball courts, two batting cages, a long jump pit, and a tartan track.

The Hamilton Academic Excellence Room provides student-athletes a private facility to receive help with their studies. It includes computer and printer stations, study areas, group study and tutoring rooms, and access to full-time academic and compliance staff. The Hamilton Academic Excellence room is home to the student-athlete success program which is designed to assist student-athletes in making the best possible academic and personal transition to the University of Nebraska Omaha. Our staff works closely with administrators, coaches, faculty, and campus services personnel to help student-athletes balance the demands of academic responsibilities with participation in athletics.

Part of the 240,000-square-foot UNO Health & Kinesiology building, the H&K Gymnasium serves as a practice facility for the Omaha men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams. The H&K gym was resurfaced in June 2022 and it features one regulation-sized court with four additional side courts.

The Sapp Fieldhouse Weight Room is a private strength and conditioning facility open exclusively to Maverick student-athletes. The 6,500-square-foot facility features 15 half-racks, Olympic weightlifting platforms, and a variety of machines, barbells, and kettlebells. It also includes a cardio area, a concrete medicine ball, and a large space for plyometrics, sprinting, and stationary movements.

Indian Creek Golf Course serves as the home of the Omaha men's and women's golf teams. The course features three distinct nine-hole layouts - Red Feather, Black Bird, and Gray Hawk. Indian Creek also features both indoor and outdoor practice facilities. The outdoor facility includes two large putting greens, a chipping green with a practice bunker, and one of the largest practice ranges in the area. The indoor facility has heated bays and is available year-round. In addition to UNO golf events, the course hosts the Pinnacle Bank Championship, a Korn Ferry Tour event.

The Miracle Hill Tennis Center serves the indoor home of Omaha men's and women's tennis programs. It has eight indoor courts, is heated and air-conditioned, and was completely resurfaced in 2022. New seating upgrades to the competition area was completed in 2021. The Koch Family Tennis Center serves as the outdoor home of Omaha men's and women's tennis programs. It has a clubhouse with showers and restrooms and 27 hard courts, six of which are lighted.
