Centennial Place

The UofM offers eight housing complexes, including grad student and student family housing. Living on campus provides more flexibility, opportunities to get involved and convenience to on- and off-campus dining and local attractions. Amenities for every complex include free laundry facilities, study rooms, collaborative spaces and nearby parking. Welcome to Centennial Place, a co-ed residence hall that's home to 800 students. It features single and double rooms and apartments comprised of six rooms. Each space has shared private restrooms. The structure exceeds Tennessee's Sustainable Guidelines, lessening our global footprint. Take a break from studying and relax on the Centennial Mall. A unique aspect of campus housing is our Living Learning Communities that group students based on shared interests. Some are grouped by majors, such as engineering or theatre, and others are by campus involvement, such as First Scholars and ROTC. Some are in Centennial Place and others are here in the Living Learning Complex, or LLC. Music students who live in the LLC, have exclusive access to music practice rooms. The LLC, is a co-ed residence hall that houses 500 students. It's comprised of three "neighborhoods" per floor that features a mix of single and double rooms with a community kitchenette and laundry room.

Rawls Hall is a six-story, women's residence hall with a capacity for 300 students. Single and double rooms are available. Smith Hall, right next door, offers similar amenities. Rawls and Smith feature kitchenettes, lounge areas and a 24-hour front desk. Students love the community aspect of Rawls and Smith, and living here puts them right in the middle of almost anywhere they need to go on campus. All campus residents are provided with complimentary high-speed WiFi and cable television.

Carpenter Complex offers the feel of apartment or townhouse living, with all the convenience of living on campus. It's one of the housing options that operates year-round, remaining open during school breaks. Each apartment and townhouse is fully furnished. Apartments consist of four bedrooms. Townhouses range from five to nine bedrooms and offer patio spaces. Enjoy gated parking, full kitchens and a large clubhouse with free laundry facilities.
