In today's market, manufacturing is supported by electronically controlled and computerized equipment. Industrial Maintenance Mechanics are needed to keep operations running smoothly in this environment. In NTC's Industrial Electronics & Maintenance Technician Lab, students will learn how to program PLCs, create and maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems, use electronics to control motors and master the fundamentals of AC/DC Circuits. The one-year Industrial Electronics & Maintenance Technician Technical Diploma ladders into the Electromechanical Technology Associate Degree at the Wausau campus.

NTC Phillips' Machine Tool Lab can provide students with training on the most current equipment used in the industry, including CNC milling machines, turning centers and lathes. Opportunities are available in a pair of one-year programs – Machine Tool Operation and Manufacturing Technician. Jobs are in-demand and available locally, statewide and nationally for skilled machinists.

NTC Phillips’ Welding Lab is a modern, well-equipped training facility, where students will receive hands-on training and develop skills needed in the Welding industry in this region and beyond. This campus offers four Short-Term Technical Diplomas in GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and SMAW, where students will learn process and trade fundamentals through a variety of material and joint types, welding positions, thermal cutting, print reading and welding symbols. Students can also complete NTC’s one-year Welding Technical Diploma, which includes all four of the Short-Term Technical Diplomas, as well as more advanced forming and fabrication techniques. Students with these skills have outstanding local, regional or national job opportunities, or they can seamlessly transfer to our Wausau Campus to complete our two-year Welding Fabrication & Robotics Associate Degree.

Whether you're looking to spend time relaxing in a booth, enjoying your lunch, or simply taking a break between classes, the Student Lounge is a great place to decompress and spend time with others. Nearby, you'll find a gaming station for our Esports team so students can compete from Phillips.

NTC Phillips's high-tech Computer Flex Lab provides fundamental support to programs on campus through course offerings in Microsoft Office software, QuickBooks and other specialized software training. Here students can get help with connecting to their technology, printing questions and online learning issues. This lab is also home to the College Prep and Academic Resource Center where students can get help with their GED or current college courses. The Phillips Campus also features a Community Technology Center that provides free access to high speed internet.

Through the technology in our Connected Classrooms we can bring a wide variety of classes to our Phillips Campus. Almost any kind of classroom instruction can be delivered. Some of the most popular program offerings delivered via the connected format are Accounting, Supervisory Management, Marketing, General Studies, Early Childhood Education and Human Services.

The NTC Phillips Campus has a room dedicated to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training. CNAs are in high demand, and the training serves as a stepping stone and prerequisite for many other careers in the healthcare field. The focus of the program is on providing personal care to residents/patients of nursing homes, hospitals and other health agencies. Student nursing assistants learn basic nursing and personal care.

NTC Phillip's Computer Conferencing Classroom provides students with a dedicated space to attend online and Zoom classes on campus and also serves as a quiet study area.
