The Technical Building is an impressive 500,000 square feet from basement to fifth floor. At the center of campus, the "T-Building" is home to the majority of student services, admissions and related programs. The second floor of the Technical Building is home to Express Advising, the Power of You program, Career Services, the Accessibility Resource Center, Student Support Services and the Minnesota Education Opportunity Center, committed to helping you complete the financial aid process. The building is connected to the expansive parking ramp by a unique skyway that lights up the city night sky in Minneapolis College purple.

Accessible by skyway from the Technical Building, Helland Center features an expansive wall of windows and beautiful views of the College courtyard and Loring Park. Students can enjoy a quiet place to study in the cubicles and comfy chairs while they admire the view and do some homework. Locker space is available to students who need a place to keep their belongings during the day. From the second floor you have access to the Fine Arts Building, where you will find the theater which produces three plays a year, as well as fine arts classes and the sound arts program studios.

Located on the third floor of the Technical Building, the Academic Success Center offers free tutoring to assist students in biology, chemistry, math, nursing, reading, writing, study skills and a variety of other academic subjects. The Center is committed to providing a safe and comfortable learning environment with state-of-the-art technology that fosters respect for all with the expectation that every student can succeed. Academic support is available on digital literacy topics such as computer basics, online learning software and Microsoft Office. The Center houses a computer lab with both PCs and Macs, five group study spaces, a computer lab dedicated to testing services for course placement and a speech practice lab with video and sound recording capability.

The entrance to the first floor of the Technical Building is conveniently located off of Hennepin Avenue, providing easy access to the College Store, and Tiffin Man Global Kitchen and dining services. In the College Store, students can receive their student ID cards, purchase discounted transportation passes, buy Minneapolis College gear and more. Adjacent to Tiffin Man is a large seating area with extensive windows that overlook the courtyard, leading to Loring Park. The lower level of the building is home to the School of Trade Technologies and a ceramics studio.

The Whitney Hall Library provides access to thousands of high quality resources including books, articles, videos, select textbooks, research assistance and more. The extensive "Ask a Librarian" service includes help from professional librarians. Students are able to borrow material both from the library and partner library collections. One highlight is the alternative media collection which includes over 5,000 published works from local, national and international creators and artists. Conveniently located on Hennepin Avenue, Metro Transit buses stop right in front of the building.

Minneapolis College is located on the west end of downtown along the arts corridor, walking distance from the Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. The Whitney Fine Arts Center sits along Yale Place across the path from Loring Park on the south edge of campus. The building is home to sound arts and theater, as well as studio classes. Student creations from Photography, Apparel Design, Video Production and other programs are displayed here. Instructors bring learning to life through active participation, and partnerships with the Minneapolis arts community enhance the educational experience for students.

With sweeping views of busy Hennepin Avenue, Ackerberg Science Center's contemporary architecture sits on the northeast edge of campus. Modern classrooms and computer labs as well as state of the art science laboratory spaces provide an ideal environment where students meet to gain knowledge and sharpen their skills. Frequently called the "S Building," Ackerberg Science Center is conveniently connected to the Management Education Center and the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program's Solar Lab.

Campus Recreation and Wellness serves a vital and integral part of student life on campus, and Bowman Hall is a great place to get fit. Minneapolis College provides services and programs to stimulate the growth, development and retention of students in a contemporary and safe environment that develops an appreciation for lifelong wellness and social interaction. There are club sports, outdoor adventures, a weight room and fitness center, and a 9,000 square foot gymnasium offering six basketball hoops, two volleyball courts and eight badminton courts.

A broad range of courses from the Liberal Arts and Cultures including the humanities, social sciences and communication, as well as math courses are held in Kopp Hall. Often called the "K Building," Kopp Hall serves as a convenient connector to other campus buildings, which can be especially helpful during winter months. A number of important administrative offices are located in Kopp Hall, including the Office of the President and Human Resources. The second-floor common area contains vending machines, tables and chairs, providing a convenient and popular place to study.
