Welcome to our virtual tour of Manhattan College. Manhattan College offers students the best of both worlds: a beautiful campus with a close-knit community and homey atmosphere, plus easy access to the most exciting city in the world — New York. We are within the boundaries of New York City and our campus is next door to a subway stop. But unlike many other New York City schools, we have a true, 23-acre college campus. Quadrangle

The "Quad" is a popular gathering place for students - BBQs, concerts, and sports. Students like to read, do school work, and just hang out. If you think of Manhattan College as your new home away from home, the Quad is like the campus family room. Professors' offices are located on the interconnected 4th floor of the academic halls and in Memorial Hall. Manhattan College faculty are generous with their time, advising students, working with them on research projects, and connecting them to internship and career opportunities.

Engineering & Science

The newest campus addition is the cornerstone of Manhattan College's modernization of facilities, supporting its engineering and science programs. The Higgins Center will provide the necessary resources for a 21st-century education in engineering and the sciences. A grand atrium welcomes students and faculty to the three-story structure. Fourteen ultramodern laboratories support and expand teaching and research in each of the College's engineering and science disciplines. There is also space for collaborative learning and interdisciplinary partnerships among students and faculty.

Communication Department

In the competitive, hands-on world of media, it's a huge advantage to walk into your first day of an internship or job and already know how to operate the equipment, use the editing software and know where industry trends are leading. At Manhattan College, undergraduate communication students learn and work in the state-of-the-art Sumner Redstone Television Production Center, which uses fully digital 4K technology. Separate from the Sumner Redstone Television Production Center, the Communication Department also utilizes a multimedia lab that features industry-standard software for web and digital print design, including the full Adobe Creative Suite.

O'Malley Library

O'Malley Library has four computer labs with more than 100 computer workstations as well as conference rooms and a wide range of areas for individual and group study. While the upper sections of O'Malley Library are pristine and spacious, its subfloors are a hidden gem for seclusion. Enter by the rotunda on the third floor and head down the stairs to grab your favorite seat. Be sure to check out the Covino Room, which is a quiet study area on the fourth/bottom floor of the library.

Memorial Hall

Memorial hall is the first building you see from the main entrance to Manhattan College. Today, Memorial hall is home to the office of the President, the Provost, The Dean of Student Life and many of our students' favorite professors! In the second floor rotunda, you'll see the Angelis Bell, an artifact of Manhattan College history from our original site in Manhattan.

Thomas Hall

Thomas Hall is a multipurpose building housing the main campus dining facility, plus key offices like the Office of Financial Aid, The Center for Academic Success, The Office of Career Pathways, our Veterans Success Center, and the Study Abroad Office. Also in Thomas Hall, you can find our main dining hall on campus, Locke's Loft. Open for students throughout the day, its buffet-style dining offers a large range of cuisines. On the 5th floor, you'll find the Performing Arts Center which serves as rehearsal space for our musically gifted students!

Miguel Hall

Miguel Hall, named after Saint Brother Miguel Febres Cordero, is the home base for School of Liberal Arts classrooms. Average class sizes are around 20-25 students and you will have some professors 3 or 4 times before you graduate. Professors double as professional mentors.

You'll hear the word Lasallian a lot on our campus. Being Lasallian is at the core of who we are and drives everything we do here, both in and out of the classroom. The Lasallian community extends well beyond our campus. When you attend Manhattan College, you become affiliated with an international network of Lasallian institutions. The Chapel of De La Salle and his Brothers located on the second floor of Squiri Hall, hold events, ceremonies and Sunday Mass. No matter what your religious affiliation, the chapel is available to all students for some quiet reflection anytime.

Dining On Campus

One of the most popular places to grab a bite to eat on campus is Locke's Loft. With hundreds of options each day, students never get tired of our award-winning cafeteria. Our meal plans offer meal swipes, Dining Dollars and Jasper Dollars. Dining Dollars are only accepted at the variety of dining venues on campus. Jasper Dollars are accepted at on-campus dining venues, bookstore and select off-campus merchants.

Residential Life

Horan Hall is our largest residence hall on campus. It is one of two suite style residence halls, where each suite has two rooms. The second suite-style hall is Lee Hall. This is where the Arches Program is housed. Arches is a unique living-learning community designed to assist first-year students with their academic and social transition at Manhattan College. Our other residence halls include Jasper Hall and Chrysostom Hall.

Kelly Student Commons

The Kelly Student Commons is the center for student life at Manhattan College. It integrates academics and student life while providing a space for students to congregate. With over 100 different student organizations on campus, the Kelly student commons provides a space for students to meet and work. The Multicultural Center, located on the 3rd floor of the Kelly student commons, is the hub for diversity programs that celebrate events such as Black History month and Hispanic Heritage month. The goal of the center is to provide a space for all identities to thrive and grow.

Gymnasium

Home to our 19 division one sports teams, our Jaspers are named after Brother Jasper, who served at the college in the 1800s. He is most known for bringing baseball to Manhattan College and creating the 7th inning stretch, still practiced across the major leagues today. Draddy is also one of the first stops for many students making the Jasper journey as this is where we host Open House each year.

Fitness

This state-of-the-art facility has touch screen cardio machines, locker rooms, circuit and strength training stations, and virtual reality bikes, plus exercise classes and wellness programming. All Manhattan College students with an active Manhattan College ID card are eligible to use the facilities for free.

Athletics - Gaelic Park

Gaelic Park is a historic multi-purpose outdoor athletics facility that is home field to many of the College's D1 teams. The Gaelic Park Athletic Center has a state-of-the-art athletic training room and a multipurpose lounge area where student-athletes can study, conduct meetings, and strengthen overall team chemistry. The space is located just steps from Gaelic Park along Tibbett Avenue, across from Leo Hall and the Higgins Engineering and Science Center and minutes from the 1 train.

Jasper Hall houses approximately 250 students on five floors. It is open to all undergraduates but freshmen and sophomores make up the majority of students here. Living in Jasper is like living with your second family.

Admissions

The Admissions Office is the best place to meet your personal Manhattan College representative. Admissions counselors travel worldwide to meet with future Jaspers and their families. The average GPA of an accepted student is between 87 and 93 and the majority of our incoming students apply using the Common Application. For maximum financial aid, we encourage all families to file the FAFSA application.
